As a gay man this whole clip is cringey on the maximum level. I think Carl handled himself very well. He clearly had an experience that he wasn’t comfortable with and was under the influence at the time. The Andy kept asking him if he enjoyed it. Ugh yuck!

Carl is a stand up guy! I completely forgot about this who drama from season 2… I mean does it even matter in this decade, not really.
Yeah, I really like Carl and as a recovering addict myself I have mad respect for him for staying sober in a party house all summer. I personally forgot about that whole thing as well. He handled that situation with grace, even though he wasn't doing so good at the time.

Any guy that experiments with or questions his sexuality is not straight. You’ve been touched and are slightly skewed, technically. You’ve gone past the black or white, and grey area and are now rainbow, which is why Carl can give such a colorful pleasing response. A lot of guys aren’t as honest, but Carl couldn’t lie if he wanted too, very very fluid -the gaydar in me sensed it, which is why I even googled it and landed here after tuning into a couple episodes of season 2023

Set him back how? To be fair, if he is involved with a woman currently, you can’t really expect him to not throw in some kind of caveat. Even admitting it at all is a pretty bog deal even these days. My gaydar has always sensed that regardless of which woman is in his bed, Carl is gay. I have always believed he is and when I heard Lindsay say that they were blinking once every two weeks that pretty much spells it out. I think Carl might eventually come out none that he is sober but there is a lot of peer pressure in his world and he might be the kind of guy who just decides not to come out.

…and Andy didn’t ask an inappropriate question, he asked Carl to share a story he had shared… this is part of the show, asking people to share their lives in a public forum. But I still think Carl is gay-and there are reasons people become alcoholics,name being ashamed about one’s true sexuality is often part of it.
