I do the same for my grand kids...but run them on 18v or 24V...
( they have collections becuase I get then from cheap on FB $20-$50)
I got barbie jeep and lots of different cars..that's in decent shape but a little faded.
I use HEAD LIGHT Polish to bring back the color.
For the ones with pitted plastic...I dont fight it.
I just use 99 cent spray paint ( black or white...or whatever cheap spray paint colors)
I use 50 cent acrylic paint for crazy/cool paint jobs...drip or smear red on white..
I have 4 different cars with wack out paint...the kids loves it.
    I got a F-150 for $40...it was UGLY...I did white with Pink and purple...drip/smear
    I painted a corvett...Monsta Racing. I hand paint the logo...and racing #.
You can print whatever cool logos on regular paper...Just use 99 cent glue..
Then use CLEAR tape on top....It dosnt have to be perfect...the kids scratch the
    cars..it's not a big dead...if it's wacked out smear paint..to touch it up again.lol
You can get lead 12V 12000mah for $25..it's not a big dead to run 24V..
you can get motor speed control for $5-$10....it's just acts as voltage limiter
if you need to turn it down to 20V ish....My grand kids dont care...they want it all
24V..The 2 1/2 year old rides barbie jeep on 18V...lmao.
The old single seater jeep is FASTER becuase it has a different gearbox.
The lead acid arnt as powerful as LIPO ( higher discharge)
You can get 570 ( longer than stock motors for $10 )..if you need to replace them.
The Motor trends ATV..comes with them STOCK...plus they have better gear box
and a metal plate mounted to the gear box to help lower the temp. Plus the wheels
    last longer...
It's cheaper to just get another powerwheel on FB.
The older kids rides the motor trenz on 24V (STOCK). i got 5-ea
$100 into them...with working batteries and chargers.
I just cut holes in the batter bay...so I put up 2-ea 12V 12000 mah.
it's not a big deal. you can fit 2-ea 9-10 Ah..without cutting the bay.
There's a built in Fuse....you can remove it. becuase the heavier kids
on 24V will constantly set the fuse off ( you dont need it)
if the switch dosnt work....becuase the cars sat outside for years...ect.
just open the TOP...Pop the lever off.
Clean the contacts....whalaaa...working power wheels again.
I'll have to sell the collection for $25-ea..They have too many over 25-ea.lmao

With a 2-year old, I'm holding off on the motor/battery upgrade...but absolutely agree with the quick change once she can handle the speed.
      Good info though!

@@MrRatz0 she's the baby ..she can barely reach the pedals.
I put a pillow for her...but she threw it out :-P
She just wants to be like her older sybling.lol
i have other once...Ive mounted the seat forward for her...she wont
      ride it on 12v :-(
It;s cheap fun..i used to do R/C..Ive spent thousands on r/c cars and contraptions. it's just a hobbie for me to build the cars for the grand kids.
Im still under $1000 for all the different cars and parts ive invested.
I have bigger motors 500watt -1000watt from Razor scooter parts.
do an electric go kart set up with BRAKES..when they get older.
I might only keep 2-3 to do the conversion..and give the rest of them away...so other kids can have fun or use them...i got some for FREE.
if you see an old Treadmill on FB or on the side of the road...grab it.there's 1800-2000watt brush motor in it...it's $150 if you have to buy.
you can run it on 36-48V...just get 48V esc....or by-pass the AC to DC
xformer/bridge rec. ...on the tread mill ESC..if you know what you're doing.

Sounds like you have quite the time to tinker, love it! You need to get a quick setup to record the upgrades and you'll have tons of view in no time!
Good heads up on the treadmill parts...never crossed my mind!
