@@ichijofestival2576 Thank You 🍿
MrFlipperInvader792 morbid curiosity mostly.
He answered his own question: "beats working"
Good to know about disco elysium. Might get it
Disco Elysium got a FREE update, where now pretty much all dialogue is voice acted! If you were scared of the reading, that is no longer an excuse. Buy this game right now! We should support developers making free content updates, especially if it is literal hours of voice over.
Now that sounds interesting.
And the voiceover is weirdly much superb. I didn't have a game like that since Fallout2.
Spend 4 in game hours talking to myself and books. Would buy again.
This comment is what sold me on buying it

4:42 I love his emphasis and glow when he calls Disco Elysium "fiercely intelligent."
yeah, the way he says it makes it sound not only genuine, but mindblowingly amazing.
(Psst, if you haven't, play disco elysium, people! it now has VOICE ACTING for almost everyone and everything!)
>"Serious question: why are you here?"
>"Beats workin'."
Yeah, that seems about right.
Beats waiting for a remaster of mech warrior 4
I didn't even know what game he was reviewing until it came up in the video. I just saw a yellow thumbnail and instinctively clicked
What an awesome job you must have, being able to watch CZcams videos while working.
Dude I am literally at work. It freaked me out a bit.

just bought disco elysium, died to a ceiling fan twice 10/10
I only took damage from the fan, then died from turning on the lights.
Had a mental breakdown cuz I was too scared to jump two fucking meters. Such a beautiful game
It reminds me of Dwarf Fortress in that regard. Dwarves going suicidally insane from standing out in the rain and all that.
And your still a better gamer than the reviewer that did the 26 min Cuphead video ROFL
Shot myself in the head to prove a point; pretty sure they got the idea afterwards.
And then he said "I won't make it my game of the year". You know, like a liar.
He clearly put all of his points on Drama
First playthrough of this game I sat on a chair that was so uncomfortable I died. 10/10
Still better than switching on a light and getting blinded so hard you die.
In the literal first minute of the game.
Did you sit on a chair that was so uncomfortable you died because you didn't have enough confidence to refuse the invitation to sit on it?
A few months later:
Hey, why did Yahtzee put that Disco game in his top 5? I don't see any videos about it in his playlist.

@@H-to-O I would say it has more to do with the fact that for all his foul-mouthed, horrific metaphors on how terrible a game can be, Ben knows what he's talking about when it comes to criticism. He's not just saying pointless shit just to piss someone off and get clicks.
I've watch his reviews on Pokemon and Brutal Legend, games I love, and when he points out a flaw I can go, "Mmmmmmmmmmm... yeah. You got a point."

Skill Up did the same thing but with Spec Ops : The Line instead of Disco Elysium.
I like that trend of using CoD as clickbait
supergluehotty Couldn’t you just go back and watch one of Yahtzee’s 78 other CoD videos to hear about how bad CoD is? I mean 90% of them is the same dialogue with a slightly different adjectives to describe the big burly men and the Muslims they shoot at. It’s almost scary how accurately he portrays the electrochemistry skill.
LOGIC: Yahtzee clearly has a lot of points personally invested in this skill. Such a stunningly accurate depiction could only come from experience.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY: You should probably ask if he has anything *invested* in it as a real person. Could get an *investiture* out of it for yourself.
INLAND EMPIRE: Perhaps not all the spirits he indulges in are methylated? Bizarre and occult energies encircle this man. Do not approach him.

Yahtzee: Wants more people to play Disco Elysium
Also Yahtzee: Doesn’t put Disco Elysium in the title of his review of Disco Elysium
pretty sure this will get more people that hadn't heard about disco elysium clued in than doing a titled review.
He just fixed that mistake by calling it his GOTY.
That’s why it’s called click-bait.
BarthVader I think Yahtzee made Disco Elysium his game of the year because that's the video where I finally put an end to Paradox Acres continuously asking him to review HuniePop.
I respect it. It was a nice gag and, like he said, the Call of Duty audience could use a little Disco Elysium in their lives.
This review is Yatzhee conveying seriously tired he's gotten of Call of duty .
I can't remember when he was never not tired of it.
Aren't we all tired of Call of Duty at this point? As said in the video, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare came out in 2007; that was 12 years ago. There are kids who played it at the time that are serving in the military today. But people keep throwing bags of money to the franchise, so I guess if it ain't broken, don't fix it, right?
Kinda reminds me when he reviewed Fifa several years ago.

Interesting that you say more creative “slurs” rather than more creative “insults”.
I think this demonstrates something about the meaning of the word “slur” that some people seem to not be aware of.
Have you all thought about exactly what it is that makes something a “slur”?
(Uh, in case it seems like I’m dog whistling some position about racial slurs, I want to be clear that I am of the confident belief that racial slurs are bad. If I’m dog whistling anything, it is either that some slurs that aren’t racial slurs aren’t really bad, or that some things that some people think aren’t slurs because they think they aren’t bad, actually are slurs)

Ah, I got played like a damn fiddle. Well, there is a lesson to learn for me somewhere, but I don't care.
He enjoys eating food and drinking himself to sleep, that requires money. Reviewing CoD gets him money
He probably partially did the review because CoD games fairly consistently get into the top games sold list each year and they made a token attempt with a campaign this year. Also he might have been wanting to see if they did anything different with having the extra time and resources to make it more than "it's Call of Duty".
rick and morty?
He reviews these games because A) CoD games are still pretty big releases, B) he's kinda become famous for ripping apart CoD games where other reviewers are too scared to use other numbers, and C) it's kind of his job to WARN people about boring video games.
He just decided to use the suckers who click these videos to his advantage and use it to spread some fucking good for once.
