In China, this song was played in some shopping malls before the end of the day, to remind people that the mall is closing soon. When I was very young, my mom worked in a shopping mall. It was my dad's daily routine to pick her up after work, sometimes he brought me with him. While my dad would wait outside, my mom would hide me in the dressing room, in case the manager finds out when doing an inspection before closure. I've heard this song more than a thousand times, but never got bored by it. For me, it was more than a song, but also a moment of joy, knowing the fact that I will be coming home with my mom. Now it has become a feeling of nostalgia, which is so hard to put into words. Best days ever, I'm glad this song is also part of the memory.

As a Marine Corps Veteran that served in Desert Storm/Shield this song was played when we left Saudi Arabia airspace. We went from celebration to tears of joy because we we Going Home to our families. A plane full of Marines in tears as this song was played. I will never forget, hand salute to you Kenny G.

On Dec 28th 1992, (Bruce Carters Birthday) I had a front row center seat to Kenny G concert. I began to learn how to play the saxophone in High School just three months prior. When Kenny began to play this song, I held my hands up and got his attention and played along with him! He was blown away and INVITED ME BACKSTAGE to talk with him. He and a friend of mind spend a good half hour in a private room talking with Kenny and we ALMOST became friends. He personally responded to two letters I sent him in 1993 and to this day, he remembers me!
Almost became friends? I suppose it would be a conflict of interest to have a friend who is a fan. Just like how some people don't like to mix personal relationships with business.
@@pacman071 Actually it isn't. Some things just take time, such as I have never had a girlfriend due to being labeled as being too nice, but for men like me this is a "late bloomer issue." As far as mixing business with pleasure, be careful! Had it not been for the fact that my mother agreed to go out with a customer, I...never would have coe into existence. Also, if we are not to mix business with pleasure, then complains who callthier employees, "family, need to be sued. Due to how I came into the world, you know, you are only telling me that I was just a mistake. Think about the consequences for that one!
