    Good advices there.. thanxs. BTW, my old audi had an electric heater (in german: elektricher zuheizer) to warm up the cabin air while the engine was cold. Do yo know if bmw 5 also has that?

    Wrote you 5days ago for golf6 1.6TDI 77kw and bad remap.. Ive been today at real tuning house in my country and they checked my map. It was remaped to 133hp but had only 270Nm and stock car is 105hp and 250Nm if I'm right.. so it was rly rly bad map. They remaped now and I have now 136hp and 316Nm @85km/h (2146rpm). Car is now rly rly good without DPF and with good map.
    So once again thx for all advices :)

      🎉🥳 glad you have it fixed.
      You should know something. For example m57 my bmw engine is pretty much identical with the next model in the 640d.
      They just did a factory remap. Same 3 litre motor.

      Yes. Thats what i did exactly. Drove it there to delete than came home and removed dpf myself . You can drive with it deleted a few more miles not too much. As it will clog up. But a day or 2 is fine.

      Most idiotic thing, again government do not give a shit about us. If they did for real would make them like on trucks where you can easy take off dpf and it can be washed. It would not be that hard to put it with 2 clamps so you can just take it off. But they had to make it a nightmare to remove and welded so not easy to open. On purpose to have companies who sell them and dealerships charge a fortune to make this. I would not mind have a dpf it was accessible to wash every 100k .

    do you do dpf delet/egr delete yourself? do you just do bmws or do you do other makes ? i have a skoda superb diesel 230000 miles, runs very nice , but everyone want more power and to use less fuel, don`t they ?

      Yes i did it myself as i got tools and knowledge to do it. Except the software, for that you need a company that is specialized . To change the info on the ecu.
      I do not recommend you do it unless is broken and block the gas flow . The gains in mpg and power are not that big. Minimal i would say. Not worth the effort. This is for the case is broken . Pressure before is too high . Then yes i recommend.
      Thats like a 2 litre diesel , a grate engine i know it. They excellent cars. To a carbon clean, be on top with oil changes every 5 k . Make sure all is ok on engjne like glow plugs , water pump, new coolant , gearbox oil , all that sfuff. And if you really want you can clean the dpf. But if the pressure values are good let it be. Maybe get yourself a scan tool and monitor it . Or pass by a garage and ask them is not like is hard .

    Very well said about the stealership. I have a e70 35d with 160k. What’s the benefit to cut and modify the dpf vs ordering a special pipe for that? Does it help with the noise or just looks more stock. Next since modifying that does it make sense to put a straight pipe and remove the catalyst converter? Or is that gona make it even louder I want the quietest option and very little smoke.

      Transform the dpf into an exhaust with a diameter equal with entry and exit pipe in it. A silencer i mean. But keep the flow do not restrict it . A ceramic foam coated silencer made inside from stainless and noise cancel plate would be perfect. If cat is fine leave it . Measure pressure in and out.
      Straight pipe sound like a damn rocket ship . Is like driving an F16 down the street . I seen one and compared to mine is insane. I would not like is so bad taste.

    I did stage 1 on my golf 6 1.6 TDI 77kw it had DPF and EGR (dpf been doing regenerations from time to time before remap). After remap car was going rly rly good DPF didnt made him any problems. But after 1months it started to be pain in the a**. 2x daily DPF regeneration and car doesnt want to accelerate as fast as before. I went to mechanic to remove it and turn off on diagnostic. So far after 3days no problems. But my car doesnt accelerate as fast as before even if he said it will be much faster now (like 5-10hp will gain after DPF removal). Before remap my turbo starts from 2500 and you feel acceleration... after remap they made it to start from 2000rpm. On 2500rpm you feel it accelerate faster and on 3500 you feel like boost it just keeps accelerating faster. But now it accelerate again from 2500 and you dont feel that "boost".
    I wonder if they need to remap it again after removing and turning off dpg/egr ?

      They did a really crap job.
      You remap and tune with the dpf off not with it all clogged up as the pressure before and after will be different and now car thinks it is boosting but in fact is not. Is the same turbo , is the same engine. Is free exhaust now. It will go better if you do the map right.
      Your not the first one to remove a dpf , is hundreds of people with successful result . Your work was done bad .

      @@mihairadupop2491 exactly what I was thinking, and when i asked them "so you dont need to remove dpf you can tune it?" they said yes no prob your DPF is ok. But just after a month it started to make me problems and they said its the best to remove it you will gain more HP and car will run better DPF is choking it. I asked them, so that means I will pay again? and they said yes its like new job. So I asked once again do I need to remap it again after? and they said no your new map will stay and adapt it will just run better and you will gain few more HP after removing that crap from your car.
      Here 3 days after it's ok cause I dont have problems with DPF/EGR but car runs little late till 2500rpm nothing happens and than on 3500 all nm comes to one place and it start to spin wheels but loose acceleration fast, its like "ultra fast" in these 2sec and after that all normal like its not remaped.
      I did believe they didnt remap it good cause they load my map send it via email to someone in austria and just port that map back to my car. Here everyone is just looking to take money from you and not do the job. If they insta removed dpf/egr and turned it off + stage1 it would cost me 200€ total.. but they did stage 1 for 150€ than took 180€ more to remove dpf and turn it off... Now I guess they want me to go again and remap it again to pay for example 100€ more...

      They failed you and robbing you.
      The tuning is done with dpf off so you can adjust correctly according to the pressure output . They did not and now you got turbo lag . You should not pay again . They did not do the job is not finished. They try rip you off there.
      It was very cheap for a job too, i suspect some back door garage.
      A proper job has a tuning stand and they monitor your car after removal and tune it right. I guess this guys did not measure fuck all and just copy paste a map and take your money. No wonder works like shit.
      I have no reason lie to you, i don’t even know who you are and your not paying me . Use your brain , how the fuck you measure if your exhaust is clogged ??? Than cut filter off and expect it to work ? Come on man is fucking obvious

      A good place charge like 500 euro . And they stand by their work.
      There are many back door people who do cheap shit …. Beware look for a good competent engineer who has reviews and all not some idiot.

      @@mihairadupop2491 ye you are right no doubt. Reason why its cheap its cause it's in Bosnia and Herzegovina here everything is different from the rest of the world.
      They dont monitor at all they just copy/paste maps for example for my golf 6 1.6 tdi they have 2 maps. 1st one we tryed and nothing happened, 2nd one worked good but for 1month only. They took money and I was rly happy cause car run good, but after a month (I bet they knew I will come again) they said I need to remove dpf/egr and took again money... They said that's it now your car will run even better you did a good job removing what is choking him and they say many new cars are removing DPF in my country cause it's not illegal here.
      But my mechanic knows them and they were making fun of me and joking like he will save his turbo now.. nah he wont it already catched things from dpf it wont last long and they were laughing. And my mechanic said we are just joking...
      I'm waiting to go and monitor my car in another tuning house so they can measure all and show me results/paragraph. I hope there I will be able to see if its tunned correctly but it's my car I can see it's not cause all power happens after 2500rpm and till that I have big lag in turbo, and after 2500rpm car doesnt accelerate better and better but its the same as before remap (like stock). I can't think that they even removed map but they didn't cause I'm getting wheel spins on 2500rpm on dry surface and with 18" wheels. On stock map that never happened (esp if turned ON)

    Yo radu let me tell then what happened to me and my bimmer.
    I have a 2008 X5 3.0d M sport 235bhp model, this year had major issues.
    For about 2 months car kept going in and out of limpmode when driving uphill. (Yes very odd) with no EML light 😑... then it stopped for about a month and drove normal again i decided to get in remaped by a mobile mapping company and he suggested I also do egr software delete at the same time so I did.
    1 week later driving normally car jolted and white smoke started coming out the exaust then car stalled (auto)
    Phoned rac he came out said it was the DPF so took it to a garage for dpf cut out as you say, collected car drove fine till 90° engine temp then again limp mode and white smoke but didn't stall. I drove back to garage and he said it could be the map so he mapped it again as it was a performance shop mainly I had faith. Picked car up again and same issue once home was in limp, so went back again he said it was the manifold gasket leak so I should get the darkside swirl flap delete kit. So did this picked car up again.... Guess what same issue. Took car back AGAIN he said it could be maf sensor so replaced the maf and ONCE AGAIN same issue took the car back again
    He said it could u need the egr delete pipe hardware so I did this.
    Again got home smoking like mad took it back. He said it will be the turbo so took turbo out and sent it to falcon turbo developments for stage 1 upgrade, got it back got him to fit it back on and now perfect. £2700 later
    Lesson for me is if you delete the egr delete the dpf too and make sure to do hardware and software.
    I love this car but I also hate it.

      bmw is like a good latina woman. ( i would know i married one ) . There are 2 stages of them ( both )
      1 stage - absolutely love it
      2 stage - hate it with a passion
      Now back to subject.
      You did say white smoke .... That should have been reason enough to check turbo.
      The story usually is, glow plug go bad and than dpf dies and get clogged, than turbo get pressure build up and can not evacuate and car goes to limp because all sensors go crazy. As i said in the video repair all on the engine before !!!!!! I did say that .... You need your own scanner. Need to monitor the engine constantly see what the thing is. Or have a friend with a scanner at least. They are complicated engines with ton of sensors and valves. If u want to have old bmw u need to learn about bmw engines and what do all sensors and have scanner. Used bmw is a nightmare for the non technical person.

      Anyway, you say " could be maf sensor " well did he put a tester on to see the values ? does he even know what the values are ? could be .... i could be Santa Claus too. I recommend you look for proper bmw specialist to look after it.

      If you remove (or empty) the DPF this will cause error messages, so you MUST adapt the software in order to get rid of them.
