The Bush Nozzle. I just don't use it. I take the thing off and just use a funnel. Done.
I started laughing when you were draining that first gallon. I reminded me of my 60 something year old prostate. To bad I couldn't put some kind of vent on it.
Boy o boy do I agree at 74 with a prostate that thinks it is Hillary's ego; all swelled up.
Now THAT'S change you can believe in!!
Put your vent cap in the back of the handle, not at the top of the tank where you have it. The handle is the vent tube, you just install the vent cap higher than the maximum fill line. You put that cap where it will leak when your tank is full and you try to lean it over.
Dragon Steel Very true. The vent is way too low when the can is tilted forward. This wouldn't work if he had a full tank.
You should have put the vent at the very back of the handle. That is the highest position when you have the can tilted to pour. Also, after you drill the hole, shouldn't you wash out the little plastic bits that fall into the can?
Yeah, I bought one of these stupid things a few years ago. I lived in NY at the time and the regular nozzle was not available. I tried to use it for it's intended purpose of pouring diesel fuel into my car, but I had a hell of a time getting 5 gallons in. I got angry and cut the nozzle so as to eliminate the stupid spring valve, and of course, it wound up being too short, so I took a piece of heater hose, attached it to a 2 liter soda bottle which I cut in half and had my wife hold it in place while I poured the fuel in with no nozzle on the can.
It's really amazing. You take a simple thing like a gas can that was designed to work very well, then some jackass comes along and says it's too dangerous or some damn thing, and they come up with something that doesn't work and is more dangerous.
All I did was add a large diameter screw on the back of top. Tight seal. Easy unscrew out and back on. Free. Works great!
SOLD ! The name of this spout was enough to sell me on it! The other problems (notice that is plural), I have experieced with the California Obama nozzle, are breakage of the overly complicated "valve" actuating garbage, and of course over filling due to the impossibilty of regulating the flow into any small fuel tank, such as a lawnmower. Forget about using it to fuel a chainsaw or leaf blower . . . Unless of course there are two people in the operation, one to hold the funnel required, and one to operate the gas can. Totally ridiculous! But, I suppose the government is keeping us all safe 😂😂😂😂😂
Good one, very funny & good upgrade, A+. Take care from Tn.
Those are EZ Pour nozzels with the top of the packaging cut off! They work well for a few months, then leak too. Grab a piece of radiator line, and a band clamp.
You can get the same exact setup at Tractor Supply Company for a few dollars less and no shipping charges when local. What size was the drill bit supposed to be for this mod?
I bought one. Screw Oboma. New nozzle works great.
I added my vent caps to the top of the handles. I ordered them thru Rural King and they even shipped to OH where they are illegal. If you have any trouble, get the clear version for water ;)
I had one of these on a five gallon diesel can I used to fill up my tractor. The first time I used it it was ok slow and unsteady now handle on the back of the can but it was there and it worked. The second time It leaked from the no spill nozzle. The third time it broke the novel out from the retaining ring and spill a gallon or so of diesel on me my tractor and the surrounding driveway. I spent twice the money on a no spill can. Works so much better. I will never buy a cheap gas can again. By the way. Diesel is an oil. It doesn't evaporate like gas. And it certainly doesn't wash out of jeans.
I stop by because of title. Love it .
Hello, the original system (that I also hate) allows the spout to be stored inside the fuel container, can I do the same with this No-Bama solution???
Wow. 22 bucks to fix a 13 dollar gas can. getting screwed from both sides here. lol Nice product none the less
ez pour kit is around 10.00 I watch anther video and they look the same. it still sucks to have to do all this stuff to make a gas can work effectively. but, 10.00 would be less of a sting to fix a 13.00 gas can.
you can buy the new nozzles on amazon for around 11 bucks.. www.amazon.com/Replacement-Spout-Water-Update-Your/dp/B00CYNDNM8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1496270267&sr=8-1&keywords=gas+can+nozzle
The blame for this problem rests with MBA managers and bean counters at the companies who make those cans, not government or the engineers who designed those cans!
Thanks Man !!
Try it with a FULL 5 gal can and see how long you can hold it in the air like that.
Why wouldn't you place the vent in the handle? Seems like that would allow the container to be filled without a possible leak, yet still provide venting?
The plastic is pretty thin at the handle and the seam is there. That seam can and will split when you try to drill it.
What size drill bit?
Hey Guy, you placed your vent in the wrong place! with 5 gals of gas it will go everywhere you need to put the vent at the back of the can that way when pouring at 90degree's it doesn't leak and splash out...
The vent cap needs to be in upper back of the handle so it wont spill while you pour the fuel ....
shouldn't you make sure there are no plastic shaving inside the jug before using it?
Great, but now the problem is that you have plastic shavings inside your can which are hard to get out. Nice try, but go back to start.
To tell the truth, these new pain in the gas cans were California's idea before the EPA got involved. They were developed under their California Air Research Board (CARB). That's why they are called CARB compliant. The EPA thought is was such a good idea they forced it onto all 50 states. CA now has to work on the methane gas generated by all the refried beans being eaten. Flatulence Air Recovery Team.
Wow didnt even have watch the entire video. Great job coming up with this, it's too bad they didnt but hey I never have a problem with us regular people profiting
So its a NO BUSHWACKER can?
Great! One thing I wish this video had shown, was what happens when the spout has a vent in the spout has a built-in vent, that causes the gasoline to spray everywhere, because the gasoline covers the inside of the vent, causing a spray of gasoline to get all over the person pouring gas, the equipment, and the lawn. I don't have any idea what this dangerous and annoying requirement was supposed to accomplish, but the old system was safe. This new system will cause waste, pollution, and accidental deaths wherever it is used. What a fiasco!
Functions exactly as designed. If using liquid fuel is such a problem, maybe it will force us to consider electric everything.
Has anyone ordered this and actually received it? I ordered 3, but never got any order confirmation. Tried to contact the company both via their web site and directly with the email address, but no reply. I think I've been ripped off.
I don't understand the name. Is it "Bama" as in Alabama. Was it invented in Alabama? I don't get the "No" part.
I can pee faster that the first round of water
One of them gas cans done kept me from giving my spare 5 gallons to a stranded family. I managed to get a gallon in there for them and that took like 5 minutes so I started fiddling with it and the nozzle locked closed forever I couldn't do anything to free it. screwed around with it for 20 minutes on a cold ass night, I hope they managed to get home. Note to self also keep a damned funnel in the truck because god knows that's safer than the old style cans. And I'm sorry I ain't buying no 10 dollar or 20 dollar nozzle the whole can shouldn't cost that much. I'll just use my trusty trans fluid funnel.
I agree with you but these new gas can regulations were not necessary, the older ones work better but people didn't maintain the old models and they leaked.
now some of the companies making these gas cans are going bankrupt because they can't work with the new regulations
Do we have to get rid of the NO BAMA nozzle after 8 years? LOL
😂 Good one! 😅
i would like to purchase ANY product named No-Bama!!!
I would just like to have No-Bama period, ;-) It looks like we'll be getting a third obamass term with Hitlery soon. Can you imagine 4 to 8 years listening to that mouth, and looking at that face ! Excuse me I have to go throw up, LOL !
i think i just threw up a little. :(

Gas Spouts Plus LLC on eBay & Bonanza has Spouts & Parts Kits to fix most any gas can, check us out ! We're happy to help fix your can and get it working like it should (Saving Gas Cans from our landfills everyday)
I think you mean De-CARBed. Thank you California.
My husband was using a can just like that to fuel the tractor when that cheesy little spout snapped off dumping 4 gallons of diesel all over him and a hot tractor. I have hunted better cans and was going to buy two tanks with 12 V pumps for gas and diesel but we do not use enough gallons to justify that expense so this is what we will do.Darned shame you have to pay for a manufactured item then rebuild it the day you buy it!
dang it i live in Ca....
if you LOWER IT AND LET IT GET AIR IN IT WILL GO FASTER!!!!!!!
DUHHH and REPEAT if it slows down again and you CAN SQUEEZE THE CAN TOO! that also helps some!!!! just a fyi
The other problem with these "Obama" safety nozzles is that they leak. This afternoon when I was filling the lawn mower gas leaked all over my hand. It completely defeats the purpose of what it was intended to do. I've also had to replace one too many of these because they keep breaking. Thanks for the video.
Franklin we can't seem to find any record of you ordering from our company. Please review your records. If you could provide us with a receipt we would be happy to look into this and see if we can help you in this matter. We are sorry to hear you had any sort of problem with the product whether or not you purchased from us.
GrizzlyMedia
I did not order from you but another company that sold it cheaper.
GrizzlyMedia He is talking about problems with the "Obama" nozzle, not the NObama nozzle....'
+Franklin Brown ya get what ya pay for
Unfortunately the vents leak.
These nozzles cost $16.00 each, that's what I paid for the 5 gal Blitz fuel can.......
Amazon has these kits too. Half the price...
Your wrong it's the Bush nozzle not obama bush signed the bill in 2006 and it got mandated in 2009
The Obamacare of gas cans
I find these in stores for $ 11.95
by 2:16 i had to pause the video and go use the can for some reason.
Amazing that you can politicize a can modification. I trust you are impressed with the 'improvements' the right has made in the good old U S of A ??
Super !! THE government (whom we pay) has no place trying to redesign the
perfected old gas can they screw up every faction of an already functioning tool.]
5 ******
I've "No-Bama'ed" my fuel cans yesterday.
Its bush dumbasses
The air cap should be put back further and these gas regulations came out of the bush administration.
I gotta pee.
dont forget to open the vent
Didn't mention... that can weighs around 32 pounds with 5 gallons.... Yea, let little guys and gals hold that thing up like that. Government will ruin absolutely everything.
You might be watching a little too much Fox News, Jethro.
Poor choice for vent location
110 thumbs down are from obummer lovers ;)
Because they don't blame Obama for a Bush law or for a Bush mandated withdrawal from Iraq like Trump suckers do .
that's a silly place to put the vent man
I hate being put in the position of defending Obama, because I never voted for him and I disagree with his policies, but these gas cans came out when Bush was president.
I hear you friend--- the sheep are so eager to believe that presidents design gas nozzles and write laws.... so sad...
This should be called the no BushShit nozzle. Has nothing to do with Obama.
Just too pissed to talk about it.
whenever government is involved things get FUBAR
THE NO-OBAMA nozzle is for me, I'll take 10 !!!
I guess Jaime is a freakin liberal, can't stand the truth when its presented by FOX NEWS....
Man, I would say the most annoying nozzle is the guy presenting this thinly veiled political diatribe. A point as belabored as this should have resulted in twins or triplets. And why the eyeglasses atop the pate? Got ocelli up there?
I'm sure Obama spent a lot of time designing that nozzle. Not. Catchy name for Tea Party followers. The rest of us can fix the can without the insults.
Instead of the government making these new gas cans for the "special needs people", how about getting rid of the "special needs people". I still use a REAL gas can and spill gas everywhere(on purpose), also let the neighbor kid(6yrs) use it to pour gas on his cats.
These right wing clowns crack me up. As with the majority of these hacks they take great pride in their ignorance. Holy crap!
lol @ blaming gas container caps and spouts on Obama.
Blame California, not Obama.
Blame Bush genius !
"Not" for use in any of the liberal states, lol. Way to cover your ass. This is clearly for Californians hahaha we have it the worst with the gas cans.
