    this was my very first play i saw at the Grand Theatre and i felt like i was really seeing my favourite childhood story way coming to life right in front of me and i brought me to tears in the end when i saw this because it was truly Grand performance. Thank you so much for this moment in my life

    Thanks - yes, Bill Layton designed it so that the two levels can rotate simultaneously in either direction. The door is temporarily bolted to the outer ring at the top of the show and then removed so that other props can rotate around as well.

    So, if i can see it right: The rotating floor are 2 layers that operate seperatly from eachother, and the parts of the lower layer are bolted on? Awesome design!
