I have been looking forward to this game since I played the early previews many moons ago we are going to be smashing out a full let's play on this fella I am not sure what is going to be in store for us but I'm sure we will manage to survive!
No recording schedule for release as this is a 2nd channel series however If I have spare time I will be recording and playing this game so will aim for daily but do not count on it life finds a way to mess stuff up XD

to be fair, that sniper is only in .308, and the LMG is nothing compared to the .50 cals on the humvees, as for the Smaw.... well, it's not all that useful vs anything tougher than these cartel tanks in real life, so maybe that's why it is allowed in. however, all this is considered "light" in that the infantry using it can carry and fire it while standing up, which is something most people can't do with, say, an actual minigun.

Damn, "sell instead of disassemble vehicles" is a lifesaver tip (thanks whoever commented it), that difference in value seems completely busted. Also did not expect an RPG quest phase inside a mission, campaign team really went all out. I think I've seen enough to give this game a try too.
When buying weapons from Haluk, get the plasma shotties first, or somebody else will buy them. The sniper rifle and minigun will still be available later.
The reason the tractor is so good is that with armor upgrades and a turret mount, it basically returns to monkey, so to speak. Which means it becomes a Bob Semple tank. So it's a cheaper cost effective alternative to the bradley. It can shrug off most small arms fire for a decent while, if you want a modern example of why tractor good, look at the Killdozer.

@@ThreatXtra oh no it's a very time consuming game, from what I've seen most realistic rts games are.
The Movement passenger trailer is also very good if you 1) put on good armor 2) put a mount slot with a weapon like a minigun or recoilless rifle 3) put a turret with a 20mm rotary cannon 3) put a couple militia squads with plasma rifles inside (they will shoot from the loopholes). This is a fortress on wheels. You hook one of these to dozer and no one will come close. And this trailer does not require a crew. The troops in it is its crew. Those there will always be someone to use trailer's weapons.
the trailer can have both an LMG slot and a cannon slot on top of armor. mine has plasma both and is pulled by a tractor with a gun of it's own. With two infantry squads inside of it it's an actual fortress, only issue is when stuff outranges them

I wish there was a easier way to contact the TAOS faction. After the last mission they might have some good upgrades for Big Bob's tank. As it is it'd probably cost more in supplies that it's worth to get back there.

28:29: Panhard ERC, it's a mobile gun system made by the French and exported to Mexico. About as armored as a Stryker but has a main gun to deal with armored threats or technicals. Looks like it doesn't even require a tank crew and can be driven by regular drivers

59:55 you finished the conversation before the van even came to a halt. In my head canon, Church is sticking his head out the passenger window, yelling his questions at the cartel guy, while the van zooms toward the gate at 40 mph.
M113 at least in real life is basically a taxi cab with armor plating. Put dudes in, drive them somewhere, and drop them off. Though just because of how ubiquitous the thing is, other militarys worldwide have just thrown a big gun on it and some more armor and called it a light tank.
Yup, I find it problematic that the game does not give you full info about armor quality - you just have to guess.
The M113 was used as an APC during the vietnam war with lets say "mixed success" as it really has no armor to speak of and convoys using it suffered a lot from heavy MG fire, RPG 2 squads & IEDs/mines. After vietnam it was more relegated to carrying equipment and towing stuff more than transporting troops, as the APC role was served by newer/more capable vehicles like the LAV, Striker and later on the Bradley. Some variants especially on the foreign market (Israel, S. Korea, Japan and so on) were slightly upgraded with better frontal armor to atleast somewhat resist .50 cal and they put all types of weapons on it, from 90mm recoilless rifles to 20mm turrets, but not because the M113 platform is good (because its not) but because they had to make good use of their limited resources to face an usually numerically higer potential enemy with a lot of APCs like the BMP1 & medium tanks like the T55. But especially nowdays its a sitting duck, huge silhutte, slow, very poorly armored, pretty hard to maintain for what it is and generally outclassed by everything in its class since the 70s except maybe the iTOW variant, wich still has all the drawbacks but the iTOW provides up to date anti armor firepower, but good luck staying hidden with that huge thing on thermals or from drones in modern combat scenarios. I have never heard it being classified as a tank/light tank in any configuration (maybe the very rare variant with a 90mm light tank turret in the 80s).

Dozers are decent if you use 1) engine boosters for them 2) drivers with the drive speed training 3) heavy armor and any weapon you like on roof. With speed boosters they are not so slow and with the armor (especially with "cage and steel" armor) they become very tanky.
This mission has definite RPG vibes, like the original Fallout 1 and 2, or Wasteland 2. I dig it!
28:32 it's a French ERC-90. Used by Mexican Army which is probably why they made it the cartel tank.
APC stands for Armored Personell Carrier. IRL they are intended to be sturdier and reasonably quick method for troop movement, they were never intended to be frontline fighting vehicles. Good for small arms. but anything Rpg size or bigger will wreck them in short order generally.

The Telos guys sell the military grade gear which you can use to upgrade the tank or the APC and they even sell IFV's and humvee's

Im too much of a coward to play a game this hard. with such amount of micromanagement involved, but your videos are really satisfying to watch. Thank you for allowing me to experience the game through you!
Have you played Syrian warfare this game is pretty much the same mechanics combined arms crawl infantry close to buildings while using smoke and have vehicles provide covering fire .for the micromanaging your troops you can use snipers in stealth to get advanced warning to react quickly and also make sure to pause .
Remember that ThreatX is playing this on realistic mode. You can set an easier difficulty level at first to get the feel of the game.
ThreatX just enjoys crying himself to sleep due to machine-induced PTSD. :D
From playing the skirmish mode in the old demo, you could equip tanks and heavy vics with ceramic armor (for plasma) or combined ceramic (For all around extra protection). Pretty sure you can also get some pre-judgement day ERA armor instead of the heavy steel and junk stuff

i think the dozers are a lot more armored. the trailer gets things places faster while the dozer can survive a little bit of combat, i also imagine the faction has some crazy armor for it

Also, worth noting if you are down people in your squads due to fighting the gangs/spiders. You can go to the prison and refill them for 300 pesos or once you kill the reverend and get Lucia and go to pick up finch the game refills your squads for free.

The cartel vehicle you mentioned in the beginning of the mission looks like an AMX-10.
With how much supplies you use up, I would really recommend getting the survivalist trait as that 10% can really add up with how much your burning per day.
i haven't tested the numbers but the tooltip says the repair speed upgrade also improves efficiency, also theres always a chance your engine goes down while fleeing and a quick repair is needed, also survivalist is worth it for tanks considering the supply to goodwill conversion rate considering its around 1000 supplies per day so even on one trip its the value between 200 good will vs 5000 supplies, add on if it survives more than one mission and the value increases

looks like legion arty is firing on the cartel as well plus the fight at the intergrators camp but im fairly certain the cartel killed the bots at the plaza but drew alot of there forces there

The light tank at 28:30 I'm fairly certain was a French AMX 10RC? It's supposed to be a type of armored recon vehicle with "Tank Killing capability" Mind you I would never want to put one of these infront of an American Bradley IFV or god forbid an American M1 Abrams or really anything the Americans have in terms of armor that isn't an M113 or Stryker with a 50 Cal Nor most IFV's and MBT's in general xD.

One thing thou, watching though your Lets' Play it seems that the game is really repetitive, don't get me wrong - it's engaging and dynamic, I just get this feeling that it's mostly a: Ow look there's an attack, go defend while being aware that 2 or 3 heavy units will absolutely obliterate your forces if you're not careful.
Would like to see your Super cuts.
The weapon colors are not their rarities but the class type. For example all assault rifles are blue, all portable quickuse rocket lauchers for infantry are light green, all sniper rifles are purple, etc, etc.
I also got a little baited thinking it was rarities :(
What abou the little lines?
@@Neyreyan Just like the colors represent the class/type of the weapon, the little lines below each weapon represent the "weight class" so to speak, to give it a name, of a weapon. Meaning that a unit that has a green slot like the humvee, can carry up to weight class 3 green weapons , whereas the Stryker, can only carry up to class1 green weapons.
Example:
Humvee= can equip recoilless rifles which have 2 lines, green weapon. Because humvee has base 3 green lines.
Stryker=can equip only green weapons with 1 line. (Like the grenade launcher)
Same with the light trailer platforms with base yellow weapon 1 line, but if u equip the artillery component, it allows to carry yellow weapons with 2 lines.

Drivers are kinda wierd. Most squads have the driving skill, as indicated by the wheel icon in the top right of their portrait in tactical battles. Pay attention, as you could be getting mountains of wheeled vehicles if you need them. Make T-Force a "ain't no way I'm walking" force today!
Drivers have unique trainings for vehicle shooting and speed. They are really useful

i9 13900kf it only seems to use 1 core though so I cannot keep solid 60fps but its also not going below 30

@@ThreatXtrasame issue here, this game seems to not have been optimized much at all. I get mostly 60fps but it does drop however CPU utilization and GPU doesn't increase.
It's weird I've been playing it on my 5600x with a 3060 On 1440p and high graphics never have any issue and stays on 75 fps with my 75hz monitor and I only have 16gb ram

never just remove weapons like that for sake of removing them cos that loses you all the ammo and means you need to use more supplies to get ammo back

Not for bob he drives the tank but we have it on another squad if we find a heli. We also have 1 back up tank crew if we find a new one

Nope, extremly bad optimisation, even worse in skirmish or multiplayer. Game on rails, not balanced, buggy, infinite enemies, weird objectives, long dialogues but fun to watch.
The question is always: full price or not? This is not a full price game, good when its 50% off

well when my army showed up and was attacked by 10 or so squads remember that is where that tank was when the battle started so it would of been instant killed i cannot control ai units

yeh it is a literal legion tank so we had a hack thing to make it friendly but like the artillery unit I cannot actually give it commands
