The fact that el alamein was released without the proper uniforms to go with it was a stupid decision imo. Among other things
ahh yes because the most important thing in my videogame is what fucking virtual clothes they're wearing.
look dude, as long as they're not call of duty fortnite skins and are somewhat grounded in reality I'm fine. these ultra hyper-realism boomer brahs are babies, I swear.
there's a lot of other issues regarding that map than clothes. its performance, and the British loadouts being just objectively inferior. fuckin clothes are the least of the concern.
The fact than BM released a game with a straight frontline is a stupid decision imo. The main reason why the map are crappy.
The developers do not care about uniforms. You can see Paratroopers on Omaha Beach. HLL is catered towards the casual audience that do not care about teamwork.
@@FutaCatto2 yeah I know, but seeing temperate uniforms in the desert is somehow alot more jarring. Don't even get me started w the winter uniforms
@@FutaCatto2it’s also a direct result from players constantly pushing “want want want” even when it unnecessary. I think some uniform customizations should locked out based on historical map locations. But again it’s the community that’s gotta crack down on garbage input because that’s what hurts it.
As someone whos played for years now yes they had a rockey start taking over earlier the year and i was pissed af. However there is still hope for the game , its still amazing and what i remember it to be . As for lack of communication, we just gotta make it more common and encourage it . The games amazing but has some issues , but if we keep bringing it down too much well lose everything
Yeah I still wanna hop into a match again and again. I play a little less now after 2000 hours of course but I'm still pretty positive about the direction of the game.
the game is just as good as it was in the beginning. i don't get all the complaints. i wish they would focus on quality over quanitity though. not too fond of the other theaters. if they focused on ALL the european campaigns it would be amazing.
There’s reason people don’t want to use their mics... especially on Xbox
There is no hope to be fair, its a cash cow now. Team 17 is owned by Debbie, Lloyd's Investments and Astragon (of all cash cows)...
I've had this since it dropped on Xbox. And i was on it all the time. You could jump into a game and 90% had headsets and played this game has it should be played. Now I'm on it 4 times a week... too many C.O.D players.. I'm desperate to join a clan and play with them.
As a console player, I just want a server browser or even just the ability to choose whether I’m playing offensive or warfare then I’ll be happy.
PC players have agreed with this since the inception of console.
I’ve tried my best to love hell let loose but one of my major issues being I join a server and no one talks at all, I switch squads and no one speaks, that key component is missing to me
Thats not a problem for me, last night I heard the most mentally stable person possible in game chat and followed then around cause it was so much fun
This has been my experience 90% of the time
@@bruhism173 This dude having that issue must be playing on console. Sometimes you can't get people to shut up in command chat on PC servers.
@@toysarealive1 I play console yes
@@bruhism173 I started on console and went up to lvl 70. I don't envy you. I'm now lvl 200 something on PC. Much better experience overall.
Thank you for this video! The problem is, that many experienced players do not think positive, the game isn't destroyed by Team17, it is destroyed by people which now focus on every bad things and do not encourage the devs, which would be saving the game. It doesn’t help telling people this game is bs. Yes, there are flaws, but better tell new potential players the devs listen to the community, and try fixing the game. They can make it, if they want
your simply delusional
Like any other good game, this generation of stupid, spoiled people contribute nothing. They only know how to complain about everything!
Here here. Someone with some sense
Focusing on positives is all well and good, however, if the devs don't receive complaints on issues with the game, how would they know what to fix?
Guys, being positive After 4/5 Years could result quite difficult. Especially now, after they released the English faction in that state, after a long series of wrong decisions in general. I'd like to be positive, but the only way for me, right now, Is being sick of COVID. Then, and only then, i'll be positive.
I hate that they make it more and more Arcadely...
How so
I first played HLL in 2019, using the last 30 minutes of a free weekend. When I entered the game, I deployed in Foy and the game offered a devastating experience. A whole team of 50 had to fight and crawl through a forest under mg fire in order to secure an objective. There was some clunkiness in the way the game played. But the clunkiness made the game different, slowpaced, more tactical. Coming from years of COD, Battlefield and the likes, aiming felt hard. Running around to aim and shoot at the last second was not an option. Coordination with other players was essential (with or withour mic). I bought the game and played a lot. Eventually I got into competitive gaming with a big clan, was even offered being an admin in it but turned the offer down for unrelated reasons.
IMHO, update after update, HLL’s fluidity has increased, and the game has evolved away from the clunkiness that characterized it at first. HOWEVER, the devs have failed to realize that the clunkiness was producing slower paced games and preventing run-aim-shoot battlefield-like gameplay, making it a must to use real world tactics in game. Thus, while making the mechanics smoother, I think the devs should have replaced the old clunkiness with FEATURES that preserved the old pace and feel of the gameplay. They have not. The evolution arch of HLL has basically been the opposite of that of SQUAD with the new Infantry Combat Overhaul. With better mechanics, bug fixes, etc. HLL has become a big and very cool battlefield. It’s not a bad game. It’s just not a realistic fps anymore.
Completely agree with everything you've said, also it seems all the OG players of HLL have left now (about 6 months ago) and theres been a huge influx of Battlefield/CoD players. I'm all for new players, but none of them seem to want to learn how to play objectives or think about the best way to attack/defend.
Everyone just cares about K/D now, and run around like headless chickens. The peak of the game has long gone
It's always been like that?
Definitely not another run and gun game by any means. You run you die immediately. It's still highly tactical, it's still realistic only to a certain point, the only thing that's really changed is the pace got a little faster. Game that try to be super realistic aren't games they're reality. I think the only real realism I can advocate that isn't really present is switching to a sidearm to run slightly faster.
Honestly bro I swear you copied my brain because I 100% agree . The clunkiness, slow pace, slow movement, slow gunplay, hard to aim and see . It all added to the game and made it more real and difficult. The faster they make it and the easier to aim it is only brings the game in the opposite direction. I'm loving the new players and game pass tho, it's really bringing the game back to life . The bad players will leave eventually and get bored
@@thymerhemann3230 see that's what's we're trying to approach. We want more reality, the majority of us vet players wanted a more realistic milsim. I like that it doesn't feel like a " game " , its enjoyable to get shit on , and struggle, and be board in the game . Hell half my fun is driving supply trucks and hanging in the back lines using my map directing arty or my squad , building up fortifications. I barley spend time on the front line now after hitting level 100
I just started playing this game this week on PS5 and got 4 of my friends to buy it. We’re really enjoying it and I hope the game has many more years behind it
It just keeps getting better
@@nickcolombo5405 i play enlisted currently is this game worth buying ?
A game remains popular by its playability and enjoyment. The technical issues won't kill it if it remains enjoyable. The most enjoyable aspect of the game is when people communicate. If they don't,it's just a dull shooter like any other.
In hell you don't mind losing if you have enjoyed the match and that is usually dictated by the interaction between squad members.
You can’t communicate when voip is completely fcuked
In that I am with you, the only really good thing about HLL is a part of its community, the most conscious and that plays it as it should be, no stupid tactics or military nonsense in those times it is like Ukraine now pure firepower and mass
It's the fact that you need to be commander/squad leader in order to have a chance of winning the game these days that is a deal breaker for me.
Most of the vets left to other games or don't play pubs anymore, and if pub experience (90% of your gameplay let's be frank here) is abysmal the new player retention will not be good.
Well said.
Honestly what did y’all expect in a desert
Welcome to the era of MODERN GAMING. Where boards and investors make the decisions....
exactly this, but humanity is lost, they will never get it, even quite the opposite is happening, people start to believe more and more the bullsht that the companies indoctrinate them with and those who tell the truth are always immediately "toxic"
bc it hurt potentially hurts the financial success of garbage
I have about 400 hours in hell let loose and just recently got back into it after taking a break when team 17 bought it and released those stinker updates. I think it’s still a ton of fun
legend has it that one paratrooper is still vaulting over air to this day
And kept on moving after taking the german op with his m1 garand and 16 round extendo clip that can somehow penetrate german artillery armor while his teammates do nothing but either stand there looking at the floating german arms or die very dramatically in the beautiful french countryside that is a couple houses, trees, and planes slapped onto gm_flatgrass from gmod.
Oh and before having a staring contest with some random german guy thats just standing there doing nothing.
While the initial British update and the other events surrounding it weren’t ideal, Team17 has for the most past won back my trust. They have fixed some of the most annoying and persistent bugs that have plagued HLL for years. The British rework looks pretty dang good as well. There are certainly still issues to iron out, but if they continue in the form they have been, I don’t think we have much to worry about.
Im addicted to it! There are bugs, but most big games do. This has variety and is great for the social aspect. Loads of us DayZ players have come over.
I don’t understand half this comment section. “Team17 should accept defeat and give the game over to the player base for modding”, are you all that mopey? They just fixed the last of the major long-standing bugs this update. You know, the ones Black Matter wouldn’t touch for the longest time? After we asked them to focus on fixing all the bugs first? And they’ve been intricately telling us step-by-step what their plans are for the game each dev update. We asked for more communication and transparency, and they *gave* it to us no strings attached. They’re doing everything we asked of them. It’s like you didn’t even watch the video.
Half of the comments have major spelling errors or horrible grammar. Hard to take any of them seriously.

What is PS?
I always think that maps (In any game not just HLL) should be generated so that every game is a new experience for everyone... this way it's about tactics rather than just getting to know the maps. - That would be a far better experience... too much of gaming is just people who know the maps and spawn points rather than just have the skill to deal with a new experience every time...
This! It's like on war of rights they want officers to be people that know the maps so they can exploit the advantage of knowing the spawn points and crap instead of deploying actual tactics.
Imagine if you had to actually deploy scouts and skirmishers to try and locate the enemy instead of oh I know this map they are over there
@@trickyfoxx6941that requires too much brain power for the children and the virgins
Terrible idea. The maps are meant to be based upon real world places where the battles were fought. So it doesn’t work for this game.
Might have to wait 10 years for any technology anywhere near capable for doing this in a 50v50 game my guy. What you're asking for is so advanced compared to what we have. It takes them months to design a map, then another few to polish it, and you want them to be generated randomly.
I took a 2 month break and came back to it a month ago game has improved greatly
I’ve been playing HLL since the very very beginning. I can’t even begin to tell you how big of struggle it was at the start and how far they have come. The game is incredible! Are there bugs, yes! Are they going to fix them? Yes! But they also need help from the community. It’s difficult if you don’t get detailed feedback. What hurts it is players coming in expecting a AAA experience and trashing it constantly even after they stopped playing months/years ago. The devs have a small team compared to others. BlackMatter really changed my view of developers once I started to see how awesome they were at responding to feedback. It’s made me love the game and enjoy support them. Changes to it have been back forth between good and less desired. They try things out based on what players are saying and if it doesn’t work out, they been good about reworking things. Over my time with it, 85% of their updates have had positive effects. When T17 came in the picture. It’s been the same thing. They’re still amazing with the feedback. I WISH many other devs gave the time and day to listen and respond like they do. They could’ve easily abandoned it and started a new project after console release long ago. I hope new players coming in understand that.
New devs are the publisher, OG devs left
It's not even the bugs or tech/graphical issues for me, it's the fact that in 8 games out of 10 I look at the map 90% of the team doesn't know how to build garries, how do red garries work, where is the actual cap zone, the fact that you don't need to defend on offensive when you're attacking, or stay on a lost objective when you're defending.
After 3500 hours, honestly, playing this game feels like a chore and when you need to play 10 hours to get 1 maybe 2 good hours of enjoyable/good gameplay that's where you see the inherent issues with the game design and how it was handled not only by T17 by black matter themselves.
Honestly I could look over most of the bugs only if the core experience was good but it's not and I'm pretty sure you know the feeling I'm describing when you need to be the person that builds all the garries/nodes/OPs whatever. There has to be a tutorial or there will be a moment when there are no vets left to teach new players.
These days I only come on when I see 5+ friends on one server, otherwise don't bother.
TL:DR outsourcing the tutorial to vet players is big (if not the biggest) mistake by devs that's going to bite them again and again on top of all the other issues you've mention.
For 45 million they could have built a new game. BM was 15 devs at the beginning and by U10 then they had 70+. If you watch the credits of the game, you will see how that number has risen a ton.
T17 has so much info on what to fix that they shut down the chat regarding issues/fixes in their own Discord.
Let's be honest here, T17 needs to do whatever to make the game profitable. That will lead to bigger ideas and better content. You cannot convince me that losing half the playerbase, raising the price, and adding a couple $5 DLC's is bringing in enough revenue.
They have no choice but to listen to the playerbase now. They tried to ignore us, by not mentioning the run speed increase, because they're Gods, and we are just plebs, and look how that went.
There goes that old adage "cheaters & thieves never prosper".
I loved how i once sniped a sniper with an M1 Garand around 350 or more ish meters. Dude never saw it coming.
I know hell let loose has had some bad times now after team 17, but Still. Team 17 is one of the best publishers at this time, they have published some really good indie titles. They give opportunities for small who have great ideas.
Look at who are the majority holders of the company since recent purchases... Astragon own part of T17, as do Lloyd's investments... You got an investment banking arm, and the worst publisher this decade buying into a gem of a publisher, with only one aim.
Profit... And that's the outcome 👌
I have to say, 4 months later the direction of hell let loose is getting good. We will see how it will perform in 2 months
I purchased Hell Let Loose 2 days ago, and run on mainly Band of Brothers server, Hell Let Loose for me is by far the most enjoyable FPS I've played, I love everything WW2 themed and this hits so many tick boxes for me, I also love how much more methodical the player base needs to be over the likes of COD and Battlefield, the Run N Gun method on here will always get you killed. The learning curve is steep but if you're looking for a historically accurate game alongside a good player base and wanting to avoid the toxicity of cod lobbies this is the game for you
Not too late, but it’s getting closer to being too late. The Team 17 company is having a terrible year. I stopped playing after they took full control from the original devs this year. I’m waiting for the game to return to glory before I play again.
I stopped as well, but just recently got back on, it’s good enough too enjoy again for the most part
The game is feeling good again. Played a few rounds the other day and it feels like Hell Let Loose again. I recommend giving it a go if you havent in awhile.
I'd give it another shot. Play the original 5 maps, because they run well. The fun is there again, but if they take 57 hotfix patch updates to fix the British, then it will go down hill.
I loved this game because of the quality of the community and how collaborative it was. Which is one of the first things that went down hill after the buyout and the game got bigger. After a while I just stopped playing on "free weekends" then all together. I don't see myself coming back this anytime soon.
I remember years back it was more like Post Scriptum. Don't play games anymore, haven't played this in a year or two so it's sad to see this.
I have 500 hours from the past 2-3 years and I don't play anymore. The British update was atrocious, but the biggest factor is the fact that all the OG, original playerbase has left.
Now it's full of people without mics, people who take Assault class then sit on artillery with no mic, people who have 0 understanding of strategy or teamwork, people who create squads and then drop the Officer class so there's 3/4 squads every game without an Officer.. and everyone just treats it like Battlefield or Cod.
The game has died because the original community has died, everyone that I used to play HLL with now plays Squad, Arma, etc and haven't touched Hell Let Loose in months and months. It's going to remain this way until the Devs do more to encourage communication and teamwork, instead of encouraging arcade playstyle (like the idea of a 25v25 gamemode.. WHO wanted that?!). Big failure by Team17, not just because of the short-Fallings with the British update, but because of the direction they're trying to push the game and the playstyles that they seem to be encouraging.
Ive only been playing a couple months now or so. And ive been enjoying it. Hoping they continue to improve things. Would love to see the pacific added way fown the road with the marines and japenese.
I think this was talked about somewhere, if they’re going to add the Japanese and the pacific, it’ll probably be in a HLL2
@@polizniathey need to spend years finishing and fixing HLL 1 before I'd spend a penny on a number 2.
Can't wait to do a banzai charge 😅
Good points. Nice to see you playing on our servers. Cheers.
Post Scriptum on its way to the top once more
All you have to do is look at the maps the servers run to know there is something wrong. Pretty much all of the Russian and English maps are panned by the community. It really says something when you've added years worth of content onto something, but the players prefer the very first batch of maps released...
I never had much problem with the game. I like how “raw” and uncut HLL was when i randomly stumbled upon it at 3 am. It was different
Personally I don’t think HLL is too far gone at all, they had a rocky start at the beginning of taking over the game, however after theses past few patches they have been rather improving the game to the specs it should be, I believe they expected the community to be more like COD players who are used to being shovel fed low quality garbage, however it seems they have realized that is not true and hopefully when the final update 15 comes, they will have come to their senses as it seems they are and make an actually good completed update
Unironically them firing WombatMedic was the finale nail in the coffin. Team 17 doesnt have the slightest respect for the playerbase.
I'd like to see something like squads ICO implemented in HLL, definitely needs more content though
Kind of unrelated but is it worth it to re install post scriptum? Or is it totally dead? I haven’t played it since I got into squad n want to give it another shot now that I understand mil sims better
It's all the new players. For about a year now. No coms. It's rare for anyone to build garrisons and nodes. And for God sakes, they need to cap lock squad leads and the commander position.
The game definitely started failing with BM in charge. They developed the British faction and maps (T17 definitely released too early though). But long term players have had frustrations way back to 2020 and update 7/8.
The implementation of a tutorial was way too late. The problems with squad leaders and command chat, etc should have been fixed years ago and there are so many other QOL changes that BM failed to address in good time. BM always focused on new content when QOL changes were desperately needed.
I think there's an unfair focus on the new Devs being the cause of the problems. Yes they've made some big mistakes but i think they came in at a time when long term players were already frustrated and a bit burnt out.
HLL could have been amazing but they just failed to get it there. I actually think it's quite refreshing that the new Devs are focusing more on feedback and QoL changes.
There's definitely life left in the game. I've been playing a lot more now than I was in 2021/2022 and hopefully, if the new Dev manage to address the long standing issues, then there still quite a bit of life left in it
This is exactly where I stand too, the community understandably has gripes with issues but many have been around since well before T17 and they at least had the integrity to address the negative feedback head on..
They're taking over a whole bunch of spaghetti code that's been patched over a bunch of times and are in unfamiliar territory, they've taken steps to work on things rather than commit to a new game mode which is a wise decision and they seem to face things head on which is commendable. I'm ready for them to keep tackling the constructive criticism with a focused approach while disregarding any of the useless toxic negative trash talking.
I still play HLL regularly and there's nothing else like it for me, and I'm cautiously optimistic to see how things progress from here. A rocky start for T17 but they aren't beyond redemption in my eyes, here's hoping they can rise above it all and bolster their passion and pride to their work moving forward.
I personally think the game started to fall apart back when the eastern front was added. It was added only a couple months after the T17 deal was announced and with it came the 1.0 release and a bunch of publicity. I thought it felt super rushed and buggy, plus the player base multiplying every week didn't help.
With U14 and the run speed change, it made people not wanna play and it didn't just split the community, it split the discord communities.
When BM still had control, we knew there was attention to detail but it would be buggy, and then T17 came in and raised the price, and inserted poorly implemented content, that lacked detail, we could see and feel how bad it was.
Players had their doubts confirmed with U14, and the snowball got too big, and now you have 20% of the old playerbase, playing the actual game, so the other 80% can just run around and shoot things.
The game is currently fun again, and within a year, I'd say it could be back on track to pre-U13 levels.
I still thoroughly enjoy a round where I get stuck in with a good squad.
for me this game is amazing, i am in nice clan, and its so fun to play with people who speaks to each others
The game is fine. It's still fun. To me, it's the same how it was when Black Matter were still around. T17 just made a bad first impression, but they are slowly fixing it.
the fact that they are still changing and tweaking stuff like vaulting and going prone in patch 14, should tell you all you need to know about status of this game.
Not really. Squad just had an infantry overhaul.
So you’re saying they shouldn’t optimize things as they go? I mean, under BM these issues were not being addressed afaik, but now they are in T17. We should be grateful they’re trying to even optimize it in the first place
@@polizniaI'm saying, these are basic things that should have been finalized long time ago. They dont know what they want and just try and turn knobs back and forward, hoping it will be better.
@@RenegadeRamthat was a planed and structured overhaul, this is just tweaking stuff, hoping for the best.

No, you still shoot from your chest.
I only started playing this game in April of this year, my friend and I were so happy that we finally found a game we both enjoyed that was somewhat historically accurate and still fun to play, then the British update came out and it killed both of our wills to play, and we haven't played since. I still follow the game though, and I keep seeing them screw up the littlest things like making new bugs, being unable to fix old ones (loadout bug), and they have the audacity to raise the price of the game and introduce an ingame shop in the future, I'll pass.
the last update aparently fixed the loadout bug, sooooo, thats a start
In game shop? You do realize that was always there just not IN GAME, there was always a shop. It’s just cosmetics. If you’re pressed about that maybe it’s a good thing you aren’t playing lol
The British update ruined the game that's true. But the game now is just like how it was before that. Maybe some matches it's a little quiet but most of the games it feels for me just like before that update. You should try it
I just started few weeks ago, and I love this game. I hope it stays around and only gets better from here
I recently started playing this game, I don’t get the el alamain map at all and it’s amazing.
I have a lot of fun with it, but I do see the criticism on the game, I hope that in the future we get a game that expands on what HLL did good.

my buddies and i a year ago played HLL everyday. we loved it, and nearly every game was amazing! (we always did poorly on purple heart lane). its always been a part of our friend group, but with the past 6 months of changes have ruined it for is. its hard to enjoy a single game now. we have a long list of issues we all have, my biggest issue being the UI issues. we have just moved on to dofferent games and dont see ourselves coming back unless t17 fixes the game.
Any chance for an update video?
Post scriptum is back 🎉🎉🎉
It's still a great game. I will keep playing as long as i can.
No. The game is fine. Thousands still play it.
What ruined HLL for me was that instead of focusing on it's strong point, which was that of semi authentic combat immersion, they made it a spawn point and resources management game. Avoiding getting bogged down in repetitive busywork that had little to do with the direct experience of battle guaranteed the loss. And as time progressed and the regulars honed in on this fact, the more one dimensional and one sided it became depending on which side played _that_ game the best. I've never seen a design so vehemently working to circumvent what made the game good. It was truly bizarre. Because at a glance and before the regulars figured out what winning the game was really about, HLL truly had something. The dev's just didn't realize what it was.
Honestly all the game needs now that its back on track with bug fixes is new content that'll bring a lot of attention. Saw the same thing with halo infinite. It was pretty much DOA and now its coming back to life.
I could name 30 bugs right now that need to be fixed. Every bit of new content since U10 is buggy. Every bit, from mounting the MG, to playing on Stalingrad, and hit detection, as well as rubberbanding, desync, and origin rebasing, etc. Remember that the player base played on
That game lost me a few months ago, and I just haven’t looked back.
I freakin love Alamein. I can’t be the only one. I guess I like the different challenges each map offers.

@@JVMaurothats cute and all but your little 'learn how to play' falls flat on its ass when its back to back spawn deaths before your screen even fully loads in. And being looped in that for half an hour. That is for suckers. Dont be one.
Ive been with the game since very early on and definitely feel that the game has progressively gotten worse. But i would say most the changes that i felt were for the worse occurred under the original development team.
Reducing the map size, dropping from the two or three control points to take a point to just one, revamp of resources where it went from the deeper in to enemy territory you were the more resources were produced. The latter basically eliminated half the purpose of recon. And all but eleimated the whole point of reaources.
The maps were larger, each game you had one or two squads startegivally and covertly advance deep in to enemy territoy to deploy supplies and build resources. Recon was focused on working their way forward to try to intercept garrions and destroy enemy reaources. A good squad deploying resources and a recon team working the middle section of the map could be what won the game. The deep teamwork and strategy just isnt there anymore.
You are 100% right. I would love for T17 to revert to the old node meta, and 1 minute buffer on cap times, and the 2 objectives per sector on offensive. Also get rid of red zone garrisons, and let artillery destroy spawns again. The removal of all of these combined is what has led to players not understanding the importance of defense, and which is why now you see the commander having to build a ton of spawns.
The only bad part of the game is everyone wants to defend no one wants to attack
After playing the test update I think it's a massive improvement..
I like the training course. But i have had trouble bringing my buddies in it with me. Idk if its just not possible and its meant for 1 player only or what. I got friends that want to play and i was really looking forward to acting like a ww2 instructor😂
Join 1 of 250 empty servers. You cannot team up in the training.
Have a lot of great games, hell let loose is the best ww2 shooter I’ve played in years. I’m sticking with this community to the unfortunate end if that unfortunately happens. Seeing hell let loose disappear will be devastating to me. Don’t even like talking like this about it. I am a bit frustrated that the British uniforms were butchered and I was not happy with the wait time between new maps. Which is for me, what made me walk away from post scriptum. We as a community need to speak up and fix issues. Been playing the game since 2020 and want to continue to do so lol
The historical accuracy of this game (real locations, real battles) makes it difficult to balance and make a fun experience for some battles. The African theatre didn't see tons of CQB. It was a lot of tanks, AT, AA, etc.
I'd be more interested in the Pacific theatre.
I have been having a blast with Hell Let Loses this past week game is still great.
I hope they continue to polish this game like rockstar or ghost recon does rather than a new game like cod every year. I hope it goes from the pacific theatre to the Korean War then have it go to Vietnam and then operation Iraqi freedom. That would be cool to have a historical war game with different eras. I’d pay for new theatres of war every couple of years if you can jump in and out from one war to another!!!
Ohhh, I played night time
and fog time
So awesome , especially full moon on background
El Alamein is a great map. It's always full and fun, especially for tanks, snipers, and mg.
We also have enlisted for more options
I gave up on HLL , constantly getting disconnected in the first second of a match . Enlisted is my go to now ,
As a new player I am honestly finding it so hard to get into the game, hell let loose was recommended to me by a friend, I'm finding that there is insufficient tutorials to teach new players about the game modes, how to play, objectives, yes there are brief summarys however that doesn't help "noobs" like myself get better at the game 😔
I’ve seen this game about, a few videos, it looks good. Is it worth getting in late 2023? Honestly
People complain about the maps and the disadvantages of them. But I like to believe that it’s exactly what the factions had to overcome in that very battle. El alamain and Stalingrad are both rough. But throw in communications and they’re some of the best
I don’t understand why so many veteran players are talking so much crap about HLL. Been playing for a year and I LOVE it! I don’t like playing as the British either but that’s just a small part of the game and that update added the map Driel which is one of the better ones IMO. The devs on this game actually listen and are actively fixing mechanics/bugs us players suggest in the forums. Bashing it on YT does nothing to help the community.
The latest update feels much better than the sh!tshow that was the British faction update. The newest dive-to-prone feels more realistic and is usable, the game speed is close to what is was before, and I haven't had the loadout bug yet. However, the loss of many veterans of the game, and the huge influx of new players that don't have a clue about defending a point leads to many frustrating game, and the toxicity in voice chat is way worse now than when the community was more together on things. Still fun for me, but I run with a group of level 200+ players that use a discord channel for comms, and we play squads like a squad should be played. I can't imagine how frustrating it is for pugs that join a squad with a level 1 squad leader that doesn't know how to build an outpost, let alone a garrison.
My man!
Everytime I play I try to coach players on how to work together. Because most of the people who take a squad lead role have no clue how to place anything or how to defend objectives.
I was sniping on Driel yesterday, when I died it took me bk to the screen where I had to choose a unit and somebody had my sniper spot! Why was this?
I stopped playing at the British update, and uninstalled the game and haven't touched it since. As daft as it sounds, one of my major complaints (aside from the movement and general feel of the game) was giving the British forces the pattern 14 Enfield as like the main service rifle. Piss off with that shite, and the bipod-less Brens.
Might come around and try it. Honestly if some big brain genius figured out how to reduce ping latency the world would be a better place.
The only compliant I have about this game is the constant disconnecting from servers. Hopefully they fix it asap now it's on gamepass
I stopped playing after I got banned from a server because some team was butthurt that I was farming kills on a garrison they built out on the open. That was after I was called the N word to my steam chat multiple times.
I felt like playing again, but cringed nearly to death when I saw that the British were issued Enfield 1914 rifles, no desert rat or afrika corps uniforms, and people wearing winter gear in the desert.
Fk this garbage game to death. I miss post scriptum and RO2.
The last bastion is Darkest Hour 44 -45 - We made you
FINALLY I CAN PLAY D DAY ON A GAME BEACUASE I CANT PLAY THE CALL OF DUTY WW2 CAMPAIGN
Bro the soldier cant swim in very shallow waters???? Cant jump over a small bump???? Cant jump over a rock??? A very small wall? Sometimes i wonder if they do it on purpose jusr to not create a perfect game
And am not very new , am 102 level , 10th in officer ... i know this game a little bit ... it makes me so mad when how smooth is battlefield 1 compared to it
theirs 4.5k just on steam right now at 5pm on a tuesday. id say its chillin idk.
Garand in Eastern front... Very interesting!
Post Scriptum/Squad 44 is alive and well and better with recent updates
If the game is so good, why is it failing? - Gamers are generally young, immature and have no patience, maybe.... judging from playing insurgency Sandstorm, where no one uses their mic, and some 12-year-old decides to spend the whole map throwing flashbangs at his team mates... Or BF1 where 99% of players are hackers but just deny it, completely runing the game.
I got the game shortly before Stalingrad got released. Ive played for 20 hours and stopped due to performance issues with my old hardware.
Recently I got back into it and played another 20 hours so far. Mostly enjoying it. But the performance optimization is still horrible. I have a pretty good setup (5900x, 4090, 32GB 3800 MT/s cl14) and still, I find my game running with less than 80 FPS pretty regularly. It just feels bad and often kills my mood to play.
to summarize, Team 17 started in January 2023 (officially started transitioning teams since late 2022), but since then:
released a british faction (which was already there under BM)
increased the sprint speed
added dive to prone
put out a garbage trailer
added PTE to resolve issues, that THEY caused...
and we are heading into november..
almost 2024. and really , a year of nothing. but half baked. half quality BS things.
the night maps are good, but even then that's not huge work since those maps already existed (i should know , i've done custom maps for several games and turning a map into a night variant is not a huge undertaking)
i don't have much faith in them.
Lt. Col. Soundboard stated that the British Faction was all T17. And from the looks of the characters and guns, I'd say it looks outsourced.
You know they stopped caring when the reskinned a Churchill. When they could have given something cool like a Churchill AVRE. Having a more powerful front gun means nothing when any German tank can one shot you.
I think that HLL needs a Pacific update. And having two other separate factions or “faction” but separating the US Army from US Marines to keep that customization separate
I’ve played probably 15 hours and had a couple squads that communicate. When people actually start talking it’ll be more fun
if they dont give the bren a usable bipod and fix the damn "misfire" bug on bolt actions then im quitting after that big patch..
It was around the time they added the Soviets that I dropped the game.
Streamers started bringing in stacked teams onto the servers I used to play and things just went downhill from there.
The role changes and leveling also cemented my dislike of the direction the game was going.
40 millions and cant fix the mount of lmg
