- Today we will go on a road trip to pick up a parts car. Once we get it home we can do a little work to make it easier to move around and dismantle. I hope everyone is doing well during this worldwide mess!

I'm so glad you included the 'scream' when backing off the trailer!
Hope the afternoon crew appreciated that!
It is just SOP on this channel!
@@vehcor Bet the afternoon crew will never live that moment down now that little scream is SOP. :D
@@vehcor even though Im one of the safety freaks in the comments....I still appreciate hard work....I don't care what they say....your essential before this and will always be!
and I'd rather ship my car for you to fix or buy that Buick and let you take it back to the original color
and I'll still be watching and waiting on Rocket build Friday!
cause I'd love to find a 59 model super 88 myself
@@vehcor Yeah I probably laughed too much on that one!
Holy crap!!!!! 6:58 that’s me in the Silver Nissan Rogue passing. It was on interstate 65 in Indianapolis, I was on my way to Purdue University in Lafayette IN. to pick up my younger brother. I thought ‘oh my god what happened to that Buick’.
You should have waved!
vehcor - he probably did and you thought, “who’s that weirdo waving at me? Must be a ford guy.”
First time I ever saw anybody "raisin' the roof" with a forklift. Awesome.
Forklift? You mean mobile frame rack? 😆
@@vehcor ... oops. Sorry. No offense to the MFR.
@@vehcor a tool at hand works best, add a chain it can be chain hoist what works 'right quick' as my boss would say works best.
You’re not essencial because you’re a mechanic. You’re essencial because you entertain us to a point we don’t get crazy in this quarantine. Stay safe
The almighty governor says the opposite! 😂 I don’t like him anyway so I do what I want! *’Murica*! Take care.
@@vehcor VOTE HIM OUT! yall need a Republican in t here that won't make things as hard on people that live in that state.
I really enjoyed the parts of a job we don’t usually see. Especially the commentary! Love the primal scream too. Poor afternoon crew will NEVER live that one down🤣.
Thanks, I need to do something with the extra time I have with no gym. 😢 There are a few things she won’t live down from these videos, all of which happen to be my favorite parts!
@@vehcor "Lift down"
@@helivesonforever That is certainly another one.
I think the scream should be referred to as the 'safety scream'... Functions similar to a backup beeper
vehcor got a free tip to retire early....turn her scream into a ringtone!
Absolutely love your channel! Educational, humerous, and love that you are willing to share your skills and craft with all of us! Awesome job as always!
Thanks for the support!
Why do you hate fords?
I will say, out of all the youtubers I am subbed to I can honestly say your videos are the only ones that constantly make me laugh and about the only ones I can relate to. Its been a wild ride the last few years and I look forward to even more. Thanks a ton broski and stay safe.
Thanks for all the support!
I think its great you respond to everyone’s comments. One of the best channels. 💪🏼👍🏼
I try when I have time. Thanks for the support.
Your impersonation of the afternoon crew removing the vehicle was spot on.
I had some good training! 😂
Thanks for the yell when backing off the trailer, somehow I would have been disappointed if you hadn't !
I don’t think you can back a car off the trailer without that required step on my channel! 😆
Glad to see you did the afternoon crew's job properly.
I had a good teacher!
Another new project My good friend Vehcor very good vídeos Will come greetings and blessings
Thanks for watching.
The Dirtnali is one of my favorite video series you did. Can’t wait to see the Mustang project again.
It is one of my favorite vehicles I have owned.
I concur
When you backed it off the trailer, I was wondering if you were gonna scream...lol. You never disappoint! I guess maybe the afternoon crew is UNessential now? She must be home slinging tires around the yard...lol.
Of course, I was trained by the afternoon crew! lol The AC is essential, they have work and school so when they heard 1:00am departure, they were busy. Those silly Crossfitters literally have chalk all over my driveway! 😂 I was going to bring them a tire as a treat one of these days!
LMAO! If the AC is like our kids, they are still awake at 1AM and not up until lunchtime.
When I saw what was going on the trailer at 3:42 I thought "Well that should go straight into the pile!".
We have some parts to remove first on the way to the pile!
@@vehcor I like how you're adapting your videos on the fly.
Your comments regarding mechanics..... exactly how i feel. As a mechanic before all this we were looked down upon by those with clean hands. Now we are "essential".... i just hope we are still "essential" after all this is over.
I think we won’t be looked down on for a while but it won’t last. 😢
Thanks for taking us along on the trip to and from the auction lot. It was nice seeing some of the country instead of the inside of this house. Looking forward to you using the parts of this wreck to rejuvenate some other vehicles. Stay healthy. Take care.
I really needed to get out. Glad to bring you guys along!
Worthless to Essential ! ! !
Thanks for the humor... a gem in any case. 👍🏼🤠
The prerequisite mocking scream. Too funny.
😂 I was trained by the afternoon crew!
Scott, as always, your videos are awesome. Thank you for the effort and time you invest in showing us your builds.
No problem, thanks for the support.
Thanks for creating and sharing! Good job!
No problem, thanks for watching!
I sure get a kick out of these. I always crossed the chains before underneath the trailer hitch but didn't understand why. Thank you for explaining it!
You’re welcome.
It's lucky for you that the afternoon crew gave you the perfect cover for your fear of backing off the trailer.
Scott I really like your roof fixing technique! Well done!
That mobile frame rack is very versatile. lol
Another great video. Thanks for sharing Scott
Thanks and thanks for watching.
Hey Scott!
Great to see you again in a little behind the scenes adventure. Thanx for taking the time to put together another humor-filled production while you're suffering from gym separation anxiety!
The roof-raising with the portable frame rack was epic, but I missed Mr. Spotty tagging along on the trip and the "Afternoon Crew" at least making an appearance at the trailer unloading...lol
I'm glad to see you out and about, collecting parts donor cars for your future rebuilds, making good use of your spare time away from your "essential" real mechanic job. Here's hoping the "Afternoon Crew" is healthy and safe, you're coping with the Covid-19 situation as well as can be expected, and planning your return to your normal lifestyle soon! Keep up the good work here and don't lose your great sense of humor...lol Stay safe, work safer, and best to the entire production crew from here.
Doug@ the "ranch"
Mr. Spotty had a cough so he is in quarantine. The AC is essential and when I mentioned leaving at 1:00am suddenly they all had to work. 😂 take care! Thanks for the support!
It reminded me of Christine coming back to life when you raised the roof back up with the forklift!
This platform is just as evil! Ask the bank accounts of the owners they have gutted. 😂
This is the reason I love this channel. Humor at every turn. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!
Totally agree, got sooooo sick in early January. ALL THE SYMPTOMS OF COVID 19, one week out of work, still felt like shit. I am a construction-worker working at seaport Boston. Hmmm, all kinds of Chinese cargo ships and all kinds of travelers parking. I want the test to go back to work. I agree with you, construction workers and people that work with their hands and get dirty have a WAY MORE EFFICIENT immune system.
The afternoon crew had the same thing back in December. Between working In my conditions and a strong immune system from heavy gym workouts, I rarely get sick. People say I am crazy but it seems to work for me. Stay safe and healthy!
I laughed so hard when you backed it of the trailer.
I was trained by the afternoon crew.
Absolutely love your channel and I really appreciate the extra videos!!
Thanks for the support.
Great video, enjoyed you sharing your journey with us. You and the afternoon crew Stay Safe.✌🏽
Thanks! You too!
Made my brother-in-law mad at me the first time I helped move a trailer for him, wasn’t paying attention to his hand signals the whole time I was watching my mirrors and the back up camera on my 2014 Silverado, perfect alignment just like you did. He came to the side window and asked what I was doing, he was totally shocked when I pointed to my dash showing him the picture...he got over it quite quick as I was hauling their horse home for them....love the camera systems.
I’m pretty good with the old truck I usually got it in one shot 75% of the time. With the camera, it’s 100% of the time. I hear it works for parking too. 😂
I like the way you think.... I generally stay in the slow lane set the cruise at the speed limit and enjoy the ride....A few speeding tickets when I was younger....
Scrolling through You Tube what's this YES!! another Vehcor video. It just made my boring Michigan afternoon better. Stay safe
I’m sorry, you guys are getting shafted up there by your governor! Hope this takes your mind off of the worldwide mess! Take care!
LOVE YOUR CHANNEL! I wanted to bid on this lot for a light front end wrecked one that my wife and I own, I am glad you got it at least now I will get to see the process of how you do the repairs and might still get a good couple of "take away" pieces of advice when the time is right to fix ours. I loved how the auction showed the bags deployed and the pics showed them intact. Hope to see more. Good luck with this build.
Thanks, if you need some parts, there will be leftovers I would be happy to sell. Good luck on your project.
@@vehcor hopefully we will need parts soon. However until my guy (attorney) gets done talking to their guys (attornerys) and the entire settlement is done, my willingness to invest time and money into a maybe, is just a tick above no f-ing way.
Nice parts car, looking forward to the two other projects.
I like your videos. There is a pride in the way you work that I really appreciate.
Thanks!
Great video... Thanks!
Thanks and thanks for watching.
Yes! It's Car Doctor Tuesday rebuilds! Thank you Vehcor!
You bet
I love your attitude! Keep it up my friend.
Thank you! Will do!
I enjoyed your videos on building the trailer very much and it is good to see it in action this time. Especially to see the safety features such as the breakaway cable. Dutch people are famous for driving with caravans through Europe in the summer and I was one of them for many years. I know what it is. Keep them coming those videos.
Thanks for the support!
All your videos I've watched so far are interesting I'm impressed the safety measures you take when attaching your trailer guarantees it not whipping out things if it ever uncoupled great job 👏
I feel your pain. Miss the gym myself. You're a good mechanic always be proud of it.
Thanks! I’m going to fell like I’m starting from the beginning when I get to go back! I swear I will never half ass a workout again!
Outstanding, after watching for so long finally learned that you are also in Chicago!
Laughed my ass off when you backed off the trailer
I was trained by the afternoon crew.
I love that one. The best thing to happen to a GM vehicle is for a tree to fall on it. Good one man.
Although we did lose a perfectly good tree! 😂
@@vehcor true.
I loved watching the body adjustments with the forklift. Need some more videos of that kind of "repair"
That is a mobile frame rack. It just looks like a forklift. 😂
👍👍👍👍 You crack me up as usual. Great video.
Thanks!
11:16 😂🤣😂🤣😀👍Thanks for the Awesome Video. Stay Safe and Healthy.
Thanks for watching and stay safe and healthy yourself!
This was awesome!
Thanks for the video, I enjoyed this different outlook
No problem, thanks for watching.
I was not expecting the scream backing off the trailer, that was a much needed laugh!
I was trained by the afternoon crew!
You're not expendable to me. I look forward to every Friday thanks to you!
Thanks!
Thank for letting us tag along. Just picked up a 19 Subaru myself
Thanks for watching and good luck on your build.
Loved the video. Always enjoy behind the scenes.
Glad you enjoyed it!
My father in law was so good with trailers he could line it up blind to where he only had to lower the hitch into the ball. Amazing to watch.
By the way, I'm an old auto body man. I'm almost 86 and still operate a body shop in Wyoming. I'm working on 3 today; a 2012 Ford Explorer, a 2015 Mazda, and a Lincoln continental. Yep, I'm OLD school!
Like the lock knob. Easy and simple.
Scott, really like your philosophy on things right now! Best of luck selling everything over summer 👍
Thanks!
I feel the same way being a grocery store employee. I am around so many people that I'm pretty sure my immune system is better than it use to be. On a side note I always love watching your videos lol so entertaining.
The scream as you pull the car off the trailer - pretty hilarious
I was trained by the afternoon crew!
vehcor 🤣
You're the best all around all around body man and mechanic! You make everything look so easy. I love the little smiley guy you tape nearly everywhere.
Scott, love the channel. It seems your personality and mine are quite similar, so the stuff no one else laughs at ... I am dying over here. Anyways, I've learned more from your channel than anyone else's about this stuff. I watched you replace the roof on a Lexus IS a few years back and then a couple years ago I saw a QX60 with the same damage (small to medium-sized pine tree fell directly in the middle front to back of the truck) and got it for essentially nothing - a $800 donor roof (same color) and $400 donor tailgate (same color) later and my wife was enjoying her 2 year old $40k Crossover I paid some $9k for. It wouldn't have been possible without your videos. Thanks again!
People either think I am funny or an idiot. Lucky for me, I don’t care one way or the other. I just like to have fun. Glad the videos are helpful! Good job on your project! Thanks for the support!
Good to see some of the countryside on your trip. Unlikely we will get to the US any time soon, so thanks. Plenty of laughs, too.
Thanks, it was a nice trip. Stay safe and healthy!
Love the bonus videos!!!!
Another great example of saving the world.. That is from the grave yard. Ah, I think you should have a longer period Keep up the great work of your gym and your afternoon crew. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the support!
Your videos are great I always enjoy watching them. I laughed several times during this video.
I just laughed out loud when you backed that thing off the trailer. LMFAO
I was trained by the afternoon crew.
After you raised the roof with your high tech tool I was thinking hey a little buffing compound good to go 😎👍👍
I was thinking the same! 😂
Another great video! Can’t wait to see the follow up videos!
Thank you!
Keep them coming-- Tired of re-organizing my garage and tool box. Cheers, Jim
I’m making videos to avoid such work! 😂
I actually enjoyed this documentary! Cool seeing behind the scenes.
Pretty cool conversation, thanks
That's a good parts car. I find your videos really interesting andIi love love your sense of humor, keep on doing like this
Thanks for the support!
11:05 the scream 😂
Another great video, thanks for the entertainment Scott 👍🏼
Keep up the great work and stay safe ✌🏼
Thanks, I was trained by the afternoon crew.
Passed right by my exit when I was in central indiana. 5 million years tidal wave free.
I have traveled up and down 65 many times in my life and still no tidal waves!
When you were backing it off the trailer I thought to myself he better yell! You didn't disappoint lol.
Of course, I was trained by the afternoon crew. lol
Hey Scott, great video, as usual. Stay safe.
Thanks, you too!
You sure beat down the "wouldn't you rather own a Buick" crowd! I owned a Buick once and when I drove it I felt 20 years older, had to get rid of it!
I’m a GMC fan and still have no use for this things brother, the Acadia. I’m ashamed to call them GM products!
Ok you convinced me to move to Chicago and become your apprentice! The wife HATES snow so I know it's worth it.
No, you don’t wanna come here! I don’t want to be here, it sucks!
I've been driving tractor trailers for 28 years, when I bought my GMC Sierra....I appreciated the back up camera when hooking up my motorcycle trailer
Thanks for the lift!
No problem 👍
Enjoyed the ride along 😁
Thanks for watching.
My two favorite things i have learned from you are, useing a box end wrench to remove GM E-Brake lines from the frame and "Just wiggle and pull" In The Pile!!!
Both of those will save you lots of frustration! 😂
Your videos are so relaxing. I love them
Thank you for the heads up for the trailer hitch lock. There is really no good locks for my hitch. I know thieves will get it if they want it, but are going to work at getting it.
That’s my thought. It will save it from the lazy thieves and annoy the persistent ones.
Watching with the wife.
Me: "This is where he screams backing it off the trailer."
Wife: "No he doesn't."
Scott: Screams.
Me: "Told you so."
I was trained by the afternoon crew! 😂
LMAO, too funny
@@vehcor I'm only here for the scream, and the jokes that follow... maybe theducation. Hell, I rebuilt... maintained my own car with your videos playing, learning the Scott way of doing stuff haha
I like the trailer lock set up good idea
I thought so. It has worked so far.
Very refreshing.
Loved the video. Thanks for taking us along. I like the KY and NC locations They're public auctions NC are my favorite because they're an inspection state so generally you get better cars. Even though i'm a GM fan. I agree those are junk. Anything with a 3.6 just stay away. At least for my vehicle. I also agree with the picking up cars and the stay at home stuff. I traveled 600 miles on my last run and dealt with 1 person. I'm thankful for pay at the pump.
Sad thing is GM likes to use this horrible engine in everything. While most of the engine issues can be prevented with proper maintenance, the transmissions just sucks and same with the racks on these. We won’t even talk about the suspension or electrical issues! 😬 Thanks for watching.
Loved the scream of the afternoon crew as you backed off the trailer 👍🏻👍🏻😂😂
She will never live that down! 😂
g'day mate from Australia again. keep it up. love the post
Thanks for watching. Best wishes from the USA!
This vídeo have better technics than some pros can do it! and you are a mechanic! :D Congrats, stay safe and cheers from Portugal!
Thanks! Best wishes from the USA 🇺🇸
As soon as I saw this car I thought, He is gonna get to use his favorite tool ;)
Eventually! It is the prefect candidate!
Loved the video
Thanks!
The skyline on the drive was nice to look at. Been stuck in lock down for 3 weeks.
Oh yes and the screaming getting off the trailer....
The scenery in Louisville is the best part on the trip. The afternoon crew taught me the valuable lessons of backing vehicles off the trailer. Take care, hopefully they let us out of our cages soon before the animals take over the zoo!
Still the most down to earth car channel on CZcams. Proof that you don't need fancy hoopties and electronic music to be entertaining.
Is that a dig at Hoovies Garage? Lol.
Huaaaa 😂😂😂 good stuff bro & thanks for the videos I've learned alot from you !
Thanks for the support!
Cool stuff man 👍
Thanks!
