From the beginning, Chang Yi knew Ji Yunhe must be hiding something from him. It was never hatred that made him imprison her, he just want to cure and nourish her. With her fragile state, he's scared that one day she won't open her eyes again. It's just that the two have misunderstandings because they can't be honest with each other. Chang Yi just wants an explanation, only from her. He may act harshly in front of her, but when she isn't looking at him, you can just see how much he actually adores and cares for her. The acting from these two is just superb!

I can't stop crying every time i see yunhe's face, i just hope she can breathe again, i just hope she can get the freedom that she yearned for her whole life! Seeing her (in season 2) makes me feel suffocated for some reason, Dilbara has done an excellent job playing yunhe, She really gave the character the life it needed. I am really so proud of her, love her🖤

He understands her, knows what she wants, and I'm pretty sure he also says "You're mine" and all that because he is really hurt by Yun He's doing. I can not justify Chang Yi's doing, but he just wants an explanation about what happened that day, and he even gave her the chance to explain, but she decided not to for her " I should shoulder all the pain on my own" attitude.
Both of them are the problem. If Yun He decided to shoulder everything with Chang Yi, instead of doing what she thinks is the best for him on her own and without taking into account his right to choose, everything will be very different. Yeah, the decision was complicated, and she did what she thought was the best, she released Chang Yi physically, but I think the pain, the betrayal, and the hatred he went through for her doing are even worse than being Shunde's attendant for a while.
Anyway, I'm sure they'll work it out. Yun He understands why Chang Yi is doing what he's doing. Right now, we just need that he understands that she's been doing what she thinks is the best for him, and that she loves him. Hopefully, they'll become a healthy, supportive, and "shoulder all together" couple.

I feel so sad for Ji Yunhe and Dilraba's acting nailed it. Kudos! Congratulations for breaking my heart like this 😭

I have never been this sad watching any female lead sacrificing or crying but ji yuhe. Fron the start she is suffering. Its so painfull to watch her like this. Her every line is so touching. The ost playing in background is amazing. I watched this drama so patiently but now i cant see her being trapped in this jail created by her loved one.

I can understand why Chang Yi is acting this way. He wants the truth but couldn't get it from the person he loves the most. He felt betrayed & used like an idiot. Love is the most powerful thing and yet it can also be destructive. I sympathise with the fml, we all know she's selfless & only wants the best for Chang Yi. Both of them will have to communicate well. If you love someone, like it or not, suffer together it's the only way to overcome every obstacles.
