I own cloud I smell whipped cream, lavender, marshmallow, coconut, and something else I forgot how to say. Anyways this fragrance is so good and far better than 100$ ones I recommend it.

There are more mature scents like sometimes tuberrose can come off as more mature and some Aldehydes but doesn’t mean it has an age limit.

Does anyone notice a medicinal/ dr office smell to it? For those of you who don't care for the cloud it comes in, I use it as a phone holder when facetiming someone! Efficiency is the key! haha

omggg i get that too, the medicinal, dentist office + candy floss smell, idk what it is but it makes me so sad. i wanna love it so bad and i know i would if only it fifnt have that. i don't know if it's my skin thats pulling notes that make it smell that way or my nose. i've sprayed it on my clothes and still get it, so i think it's just the perfume.
I have Cloud..I actually like Cloud better than the original 540. Now when it comes to the extrait version on Baccarat Rouge 540 (the red bottle)...Hands down the BEST!!

Never smelled the cloud but bought a sample of the Baccarat and I am in love! So in love, I bought the 6.8 bottle.. 😬 such a beautiful scent. I’m definitely going to have to try the cloud. If I don’t care for it, I’m sure my 13 or 20 year old daughters would like it.

Today I compared Cloud and Baccarat 540. I first smelled the spray cap on each before spraying them and they smelled identical to me. The initial spray on each wrist was also very close. But when they dried down I really smelled a difference. I agree that Cloud is much sweeter and lighter than 540. I think Cloud’s scent really changed after drying. The Baccarat had more of a depth and intensity after drying down and kept that rich and sort of minty smell. The initial scent continue to remain after drying. My take on the two. I bought Cloud first a few months ago and it was my fave. I just got the Baccarat for Christmas and prefer it over Cloud.

I find cloud smells like BR 540 when sprayed on clothes but on the skin cloud smells much sweeter and a bit creamy. When I first smelled BR 540 I actually couldn’t smell it until about 20 mins later, the sales associate said it was due to the ambergris in it, which is supposedly a scent collected from whale sperm 😅 and tends to be undetectable by the nose. When I finally was able to smell it, it had an airy burnt sugar/salty ocean mist smell to it that somehow created a unique elegant vibe. I love both scents! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it!
Soyin B. Luxe Baccarat Rouge is actually an all synthetic ingredient perfume, it doesn’t have real ambergris in it, which is whale vomit lol, still love it though! 💖

@@lyssbeth on me the ones that last the longest are Cloud and Ari, not that Moonlight and Sweet Like Candy don't last but the first two have better performance.
I got the Arianna ☁️ on the 16th of this month and it smells Amazing. I got my first bottle from Wal-greens and it was the last one. I also had the Ariana Sweet like 🍬, but I took it back and exchanged it for Another Ariana ☁️ and this fragrance smells so good. I don't want to ever run out.
I love Cloud! Now I really want to try the Cloud 2.0 Intense version! Haven’t smelled Bacarat Rouge 540 yet… maybe I will some day. Too expensive for right now. 🙃
This is why I'm down to 5 Cloud perfumes already since last year!! 😆😆😆 I have BR540 btw. Use BR540 only on special occasions! 😂

This is how I accessed cloud! Some people said it was a fresh kind of skin scent. I definitely sense more whipped cream praline coconut Ty sweet ness! I love it. But I’m not a mean girl, and I’m past being considered a “girl.”

I very much enjoyed watching your video and comparison. You are so accurate in the description. I am not a huge fan of BR 540, as there is something in it that smells a bit too “dirty”musky. I really wanted to like it. For being 450$, I better LOVE it! There is also a shared/common after affect, lingering scent, that I’ve noticed some other super expensive perfumes have. It’s definitely an expensive dry down affect and I think I have figured it out....ambergris. The musky scent I don’t like is ambergris. What are your thoughts about the ambergris?
So.....
I heard Cloud smells very similar so I went out to try it. I sprayed it on myself at Kohl’s...2 sprays on my neck around 7:30 pm while wearing a turtleneck. That night I took a long warm bath, and went to bed. Woke up a few times during the night and I would get a very faint reminder that I had sprayed myself with Cloud. The next morning, I would keep smelling it just ever so slightly. In my opinion, it smells very much like BR 540, minus all the things I don’t like about BR 540.
I think I have to agree with you; Cloud smells better and it’s because it pulls it’s musky notes from a different source. It’s also sweeter. I ordered Cloud because of this accidental discovery.
I think I’m definitely going to try out the cloud perfume!

I personally think spraying makes a difference. Also, Cloud smells good but I would only recommend it over Baccarat Rouge 540 if the person did not appreciate paying for quality.
The perfume smells so good I got mine at kohl’s for 40 dollars definitely worth it, I got the bigger one cause the small wastes faster depending the amount of time you want to use. Although it’s what I would prefer to the aRiana grande fan

Baccarat Rough 540 Extrait is more refine and last longer on me. It is worth paying more for a better version BR540.

I feel like cloud smells like sweet cream and plasticy chemicals. I sprayed myself with the tester and luckily the scent was gone after a couple hours. I actually prefer her other one, thank you next over cloud. I am kind of disappointed because there was so much hype around cloud. I wanted to like it, just didn’t work for me.

I think it's your body chemistry. Cloud smell like cream and vanilla to me.

Cloud is not a dupe I’m sorry 😩 The opening of cloud is reminiscent of BR540 but after that initial scent Cloud is nothing like it. A better dupe would be Oil Perfumery’s version which retails for $20.;
True, and if you use a couple of drops on the skin and then spray Cloud on top.. sublime combo, the sillage and longevity is very good
I really wanted to love this perfume based on people recommandations but it doesn't work at all with my skin chemistry. I can barely smell it on my skin and it doesn't last. Maybe a bad batch? I don't know.
Where did you purchase yours from? Be careful. I went to get mine from Walmart and it was definitely a fake and watered down. I suggest getting it from her website or from Ulta.
I bought mines from Ulta and returned them twice because they smelled like water. I wrote a whole blog about how I truly believe they were reformulated.
It smelled like water alcohol and maybe a bit of melon. NOTHING like how cloud usually smells

I blind Bought it too! It’s Extremely Crisp and Green, Think of the Dry Marijuana Plant yeah weird description .. very Similar, Get the Small Bottle For sure, it’s a very hard to describe scent. It also makes me nauseous... one spray is all you need . I’m still trying to give it a chance, I regret getting a big bottle.

Is it a long lasting smell? I really like sweet scents such as juicy couture and can can by Paris Hilton, Donna Karen Cashmere. not very floral or too musky. Would you recommend cloud by Ari for me, it’s sold out everywhere and I haven’t been able to smell it.
You can get it from Walgreens for $25 !! They sell the actual perfume in a gift set it’s the 1.7 ounce / lotion !!! Or if you don’t want to spend that much they have the body spray ( more of a diluted version ) for $12

Just bought cloud love it but the scent doesn't last unfortunately I smelled all her other ones but cloud was my favorite and I was told its the most popular. The ladies I asked at shoppers drug mart said the demographics is for for teens to early twenties but im in my 30s and ill wear it and im a nice girl hehe

I’m gonna go ahead and say as you haven’t said nothing about BR 540 yet I’m going to guess you don’t like it and mainly because it probably does have notes for men in it,(cedar and amberwood) it’s not too girly and I think you like more of the girly fragrances which is fine.. I love fragrances so much that I smell them and just smell them for the notes and see how they make me feel
Whether they live in feminine or masculine or in between does it matter but I would not wear something to feminine LOL and I bet you if you were to smell them apart and not back to back they would smell like I cannot wait to do a test like this with them.. Because I only Cuba gold and Le male by JPG And smelling them a day apart they smell the same but wearing them on the opposite hands throughout the day they smel completely different
@Queen Khanz could you please tell me the batch number of your perfume? I recently bought a 30ml bottle and judging from fragrantica reviews and my own sad experience with this perfume, this has been badly reformulated especially this latest version. It now smells like sea salt and tamarisk, no sweetness whatsoever, no other notes, this is just medicinal saltness like a bad mens body spray. I have contacted another fragrantica member seeing as her review described what I was picking up and we both had the same batch number (and bought our bottles from reputable sellers)*so I am looking for batches with positive reviews just to avoid another sad purchase of this one-if you could help, I would greatly appreciate it

I smelled cloud today and I kept smelling this like, sour candy (sour patch kids kind of???) kind of smell. Do you get that? And when it dried down more and I wore it a bit THEN I got that coconut layer coming through a bit. But still the sour candy too
Same haha If I spray it on my skin, I am left with a sour candy smell, not my favorite. HOWEVER, when I spray it on my clothes, it has a coconut smell and I was amaze how the smell was different depending on the material you spray on. Also, I can smell the coconut note when I move my wrist across my nose accidentally, not when I sniff it directly on my skin. This perfume is confusing 😂, but every time I sniff it. It makes me happy, positive and confident? So that is why I decide to buy it.
Another similar frangrance to Arianna Grande (imho) Is the Burberry Classic from 1995.

I fell for the hype, Baccarat Rouge 540 smelled like nothing on my skin. The Extrait version is a bit better but Arianna Grandes Cloud is just like it but better, way less expensive, has more projection and is longer lasting.
Same here.. bought a 35 ml bottle of BR 540 and it doesn't smell like anything on my skin. I couldn't believe I paid so much to just look at the perfume and cannot using it... One week before the BR, I ordered a dupe, called Ana Abiyedh rouge (25€) it smells incredible, sweet like cotton candy and lasts 3-4 hours...

I don't think the two smell much alike at all. I can't understand how people are saying they are the same. I smell mostly sweet vanilla from Cloud. It reminds me of something a teenager would wear. Baccarat has a much more complex profile with the woody notes and amber. I was hoping to like cloud to save myself some money but it's just not close enough for me.

Im personally frugal in many areas that girls usually splurge on like I do my own nail instead of going to the salon and I wear minimal makeup so I don’t spend hundreds in Sephora. I love fragrance and that’s the avenue I choose to self express so buying a 400$ perfume is definitely hurtful to even say it, but it makes sense as well for an average girl like me.
I got it for myself after I graduated from the university after I defended my master's degree. I knew that I want it and that if I managed to defend my master's degree, I will treat myself to it. I get such expensive things on very special occasions, it adds to a motivation to persevere to get shit done, lol :D

This is going to sound so mean but I smelled the Ariana Grande cloud yesterday. I sought it out to see if I would like BR540. AG cloud …hmm, it reminded me of a working class, heavy smoker lady with a smoker cough. It’s the way she smells at work to conceal coming from a smoke break by spraying a cheap body spray on. This is so awful but that’s where it takes me 😳. I don’t like it, sorry. I’m happy to hear you don’t think they are the same - there is hope I might like BR540 😅

I have never in my life sprayed a perfume more than three times. I used 6 sprays, hoping to smell what people seem to be raving about. Nothing! Not a fresh, clean, sweet nor spicy scent. Nothing but a chemical smell. And 2 hours later the smell was gone. 😆

I agree! I’m 27 and it’s so sickly sweet in the beginning but then it gets a lot better and deeper as I wear. I don’t like sweet perfumes...but I’ll wear it at home because it’s cheap and nice otherwise :)

I decided to request Cloud as a secret Santa gift based on reviews. It’s soooo Not Me! IMO it’s so musky and masculine smelling....and cheap. That’s what I get for not seeing for myself first. I was soooo disappointed and felt bad that someone else paid money for it.

You have the 540 extrait not original. The one you have is sweeter with almond. To me all 3 smell different especially dry down and they all have that medicinal scent on paper, clothes and skin. Either ppl love it or hate it. It’s very unique dry down for baccarat rouje 540

So I always get compliments on my perfume and it sticks will to my skin. I swear this is the only perfume that doesn’t smell good on me that I ever got. Like it’s just smell cheap and bad . I like the pink heart but still I’m not loving the pink one. Her perfume line isn’t really good

Same. it’s cheap plasticy smelling. But for 50 bucks honestly I am not that shocked. It smells like any other celeb perfume that will probably be in tj maxx in a year or two. I could defiantly see this as a go to for a middle school or high school girl though.
