This Soulmask Temple building is designed to be a centrepiece for a town and houses the bonfire as well as some crafting benches and storage until
you spread out past the safety of the temple. this building has enough to be used for any task you might need within soulmask, from crafting, to smelting.
storage, to a fallback point for your villagers not designed for combat.

A build I have wanted to make for a little while, but I was not sure how big I wanted to go with this, I settled on something slightly smaller just to make it possible to place in a veriaty of locations, while also remaining very useful as a "do anything you need it to" building because of the large space inside.
how I would use this would be as the first building in a new town or city, and then smaller buildings created around the temple, with a wall all around the edges of the bonfire radius. but! how you use this build is upto after all, I hope you enjoyed the video as always, and thank you for watching!

@@user-cx9ti9fu6g yup, its designed mainly for beauty, I like to build cool things for PvE, and If I was to make bases for PvP / defence focused buildings i would most likely be playing 7 days to die or rust.
Another amazing build - my favorite part about this one is that it lends itself very well to having smaller or bigger versions of it connected by walkways! Its core concepts can easily be replicated on a more rectangle side buildings for dedicated spaces.
Thanks for another great build! This one is exactly like you describe, an easily expandable focal point. The raised nature allows for easy connection to making walkways. Thinking of using the techniques shown here for a square on doing a few 2*6 rectangular out buildings for mounts, barracks and mess.
That would look really good! I hadn't thought of having walkways to connect to it, but It would make the temple look like an integral part of the village that everyone needs to get to frequently.
also, I have seen comments saying that mounts can merge through blocks, so if you do make the small buildings for mounts, keep an eye out for that, I haven't seen it myself but others have said it happens.

I originally thought of making this build 13 x 13 and having a second floor in the middle, the ground floor was going to be storage and crafting benches, and the above floor was going to be weapons crafting. but because I wanted this to be buildable in most bases and locations I downsized it a little.
but the only thing that would change would be the support beams inside, as with a bigger structure the structural integrity system of the game starts to kick in a tiny bit.
It's still something I may do at some point If I can think of a nice way of designing the interior.

Love rhe videos. Waiting for bigger endgame bases with steel and the windpowered workstations.
pretty close to fighting the monkey boss in my single player, once I unlock portals im going to have a much easier time moving resources around so bigger bases will be more of a possibility.

Yeah, I try and make things that fit how a game feels a lot of the time, temples and huts just seem to fit the asthetic way better than castles and mansions in this game, not to say I won't do the later, but I like tribal and aztec looking builds rn.

these are so amazing zero. any chance we can see a endgame sized final base build? so it would be nearly or is a full 60m diameter bonfire sized base? would be so amazing
I am considering it, I'm not used to making larger builds, but It's something I have been brainstorming more and more, so I probably will at some point.
I am also only just getting into the iron age in my save, so I still need to find out what is needed in an end game base myself.
But I plan on making more videos, some smaller builds some larger builds, If I think of something larger and end game, which realistically I will need myself at some point, I will share it with everyone

I would use this as part of a town / the middle of a town to utilise the full area of the bonfire, so if you wanted to keep all the crafting in this one area, swapping out the 3d printer (mask altar) would be a good thing to swap out as it would most likely fit nicely in the center.
Edit: and then place whatever extra things you need in buildings outside the temple.

I don't think so, honestly this build is designed more as a temple to be in the center of a town, and buildings to be built around it rather than it being an all in one base, it just has enough space for crafting benches to make expanding easier, as moving resources across the map before getting portals is tough.
@@ZerosterGuides exactly. I was thinking about small village with this temple as "main house". And few more buildings for comfort, farms, animals, etc

unfortunately im not sure what the best way to hit comfort level 3 is, as I often ignore comfort for the most part in favour of looking visually nice and I usually accidentally hit high comfort values in most games by doing that.
@@ZerosterGuides maybe hide bed and chairs behind walls. As far as i know you need at least stone building/iron bonfire chair and bed.
Can you do a larger like level 35+ build please?
This to me is a large lv 35+ build as It's built out of stone, I usually focus on building villages when I play so my builds are often designed to be part of a village rather than the only build within a base.
If I have an idea for a larger all in one style base I will definitely make a video on it though.

@@karbay hopefully there are more to come, I like this game a lot, I am surprised that Im the only one making building videos even after a few weeks of the game being out. I thought at least a few other builders would be interested in having npc's run around their builds and use their creations.
