@@kamalalagarsamy2583 Vani jairam amma was a classically trained singer and she can sing this type of songs easily. Same year she recorded “Aana kana” song. That song also very very difficult like this and toughest in Vani’s career. Both SJ and VJ recorded many difficult classical songs in 70s and 80s.

I have trained in both carnatic and hindustani music and continue to do so and even I would have a really difficult time with this song unless I actually practice it with a live mridangist to get the thalam exactly correct. I would have to split up the swaram sections part by part and practice, practice, practice and then put all the sections together and try to sing the whole song several times. It would take several months of hard practice to do a decent job on this song. It's not a joke. Believe me.

well smt. ms subbulakshmi was a south indian. she was a tamilian and she sang beautiful hindi bhajans. her " hari thumharo" became very famous and so did many other bhajans. even the great lata mangeshkar respected her and has said that even she cannot sing bhajans with the devotion and bhavam or bhav that MS Amma sings with. MS AMMA has received the bharat ratna. another example of a south indian who has received the bharat ratna, pundit bhimsen joshi was actually a kannadiga. he was born in dharwad, a place in north karnataka, but later settled down in pune, and he received the bharat ratna. and there are a few other south indians who have received the bharat ratna for various fields. you can go and check it online. so it does not matter if you are north indian or south indian. these two artists that i have mentioned were equally respected by both north indians and south indians.
