Not gonna lie, the water starters have always been my least favorite overall, because they counter the fire ones a bit too well. But in this video I have put aside my pride, and created a ROM Hack of Pokemon Emerald were you can catch all of the water starters, from generation 1 to 8. Basically, I want to play through Hoenn as a hardcore Nuzlocke, and see if these water guys are strong enough to make it.

Hardcore Nuzlocke Rules:
1) Only Catch The First Pokémon On Each Route
2) If A Pokémon Faints, I Cant Use Them
3) No Items In Battle
4) Set Mode
5) No Over Leveling

HA Shell Smash Mega Blastoise is such a cool and strong ace to play. Especially if you switch it in after a support which paralysed or confused the enemy beforehand.

The first attempt was to check if the landdwellers have a chance against the might of the water starters, but apparently their champion, who should not be named, had a chance, until the second attempt that is!
Yeah I figured that not choosing Mudkip was a bad move, but for the other starters, I didn’t begin with the Hoenn starter, so I wanted to follow that trend. At least at first

Watching now and enjoying it, but I'll admit it's a bit confusing when I'm mostly listening to it as I do some work and the Pokemon are all named after other Pokemon. Kinda funny but something to consider

As in creating or playing Rom hacks? I haven’t actually played all that many, but emerald rogue, and infinite fusion are good ones

Yo joe i tried to reset the starters but that single set of starters(squirtle,mudkip,sobble) only appears.And how to get the hidden abilities of it
So the three starters are fixed, but you can get the rest in that tunnel.
To get hidden abilities, buy a ability capsule in the OldDale mart
Its a shame that so many water and grass starters are not dual type
Yeah that is weird. I guess fire types are just special with their dual types
You should do poison types
Favorite water starters are Popplio, Mudkip and Oshawott.

Google Marc robledo patch and click on the first link. You can apply patches to a base Rom and play from there

I don't really care much for any of the interludes (ie the NPCs, running shoes, etc). Get to the battles and encounters. Friendly feedback. :)
