*Very easy to set up and use, attractive but be sure you understand the height--it's not tall. The heat is not overwhelming, but steady and pleasant fireplace **fireplace.homes** . It's quiet, too. I like the possibility of easily moving it from room to room in the event we want supplemental heat elsewhere. Definitely a good buy.*

Thank you very much for this install video. I bought a home that had just been remodeled and they installed this exact fireplace. Well they half installed it because it just fell out of the wall!!! They had only inserted it into the fireplace, it was not secured to the wall. I can't believe some of the half assed workmanship I'm finding in this house!!!!!!

My husband couldn't get the front glass off of our new fireplace to install it. Just watching you
'unhook' yours helped him. Glad you posted this because I was getting tired of trying to figure out why unscrewing the screws wasn't enough. These manuals need to be written by people who are not installers.

Hoping a model in the future will have more than 3 color's. White flame with crystals is a really nice look with white framed fireplaces.

Hello, if I am using real stone, how many inches should I give on the top of the unit so that the face plate can be installed? If the unit is installed flush with the mounting surface of the cement board or durarock without the face plate, what is the maximum thickness of the stone? The face plate goes in and then down, correct? It would be a disaster if the unit and stone is installed and then I couldn’t get the face plate on. Thanks for your time and answers.

What was the depth of your recess in this video? I'm framing a basement and trying to decide what to do? Do you have any photos of the fireplace recessed in standard 2x4 walls? I'd like to get an idea of what that would look like, partially recessed.

It's designed to be used with one media option at a time, although some customers will use the log set and put crystals on top. It's really just a preference and won't hurt anything if you do!

"Yes, the Sideline glass face lifts up (approximately 2") and off the unit, so it would need clearance to remove. We do not recommend using stone/tile around the glass so that you can remove the front panel. If you are looking to use material right to the edge of the fireplace, I recommend our Sideline Elite fireplaces. The glass is able to be removed even with material flush against the top/bottom and sides."
