@@NitroAcr1d it is line of sight based. A lot of people including myself have tested it. How else would it be able to speed up around loops? If it doesn't see you, it goes super speed. If it sees you, it goes slow. I've seen videos on this of people having it go slow when it is in another room, just because you are close enough to be seen by it. That is why it is so dangerous when you hide from it, as you have the least amount of time to get away from it, unlike if you are out and about so you have a lot more time to figure oit that you dont need to hide.
Correction: it gets slower the closer it is to you. You can easily loop it, though it is sometimes unnecessary as all you really need is enough space to keep moving.

You don't actually need to loop it, just walk while looking back at it, while seeing you it is reaaaallllyyy slow
It isn't LOS based though... You just need to be in 3 m radius of the ghost
