I installed a similar system on my 8.5 M Sail-Boat off a(KAWASAKI,Supercharged Jet-Ski Motor(310 HP),,with a pneumatic set-up for reverse and controls, took me a week to make-up my mind to finally cut-down the bottom of a perfectly sound and water-proof vessel....!!!...But what a relief and satisfaction when all was installed. After my old tired heavy Penta motor,I could now take my boat on high rough Seas with a super reliable, powerful set-up,already sailed to Portugal, from France and back, fishing on idle but also pushed the engine to max power, lots of torque, now,it's new GARMIN electronics,AP,radar, solar panels all LED lighting and prop,to next year, hit the"big"trip of my dreams to the Philippines.
I worked on jet boats for 8 years, the experience is different base on different designs, some can be frustrating if the operation principle is not well understood by the engineer and some are just as easy to use like the kids toys. It's a very good propulsion system.
When I was younger and watched this I thought the impeller was magically powered by water and that this was the way of the future because there was no gas to be burned
A company is developing a water turbine that will be used in front of the intake to produce power and feed low pressure water into the pump intake stream
This is a good way of protecting animal and plant life in marshy or lake area from propeller damages. Wonder why this type of propulsion is mandatory in wildlife(aqua) and marine tourism
I'm quite sure the whales would like to see this system on large ships. Ever see a whale with large diagonal cuts along his back? He's not getting ready to be barbecued. He's bee run over by a ship.
I'm assuming this is more expensive than the regular propeller sticking out? I see this engine as being helpful for conservation of wildlife, actually. I hear a lot about the Florida manatees being killed or maimed by boat propellers. This just has high velocity water hitting them, which I think is much more safe for the survival of manatees.
The jet is also a good idea for boat operators who have a habit of running over swimmers & downed water skiers. Jets are also very good for river boats running in shallow water with many obstacles.
Hi sir,,,, I had question... Does the nossle need to be submerge same as the stirring nossle? I'm just wondering,, cause the stirring nossle might generate a resistance.. Tnx for the answer ..

Been working on jet boats and jet skis for 40 years.they turn on rails but reverse is horrible and maneuverability in reverse is horrible also.and they are not very efficient
Hi How to become an agent for your company, and what are the conditions and how the processing, and your final prices continued to Iraq / Baghdad . We need an email / phone company with sending some blocks to the small and medium boats industry, or any plan or layout with the measurements and sizes of aluminum and measurements of the aluminum layer and the type of engine and parts With respect and appreciation
Jet powered boats have more torque, quicker response and are less susceptible to cavitation and a shallow draft making them operate more efficiently at the cost of much greater fuel expense. Turbo-prop aircraft engines have more torque, much lower horsepower to weight ratio(higher useful load), and fewer moving parts that don’t reverse direction 5000 times per minute at 2500 rpm like a piston engine. This makes them very reliable and therefore safer but at 10x the cost. Bottom line is how efficient something is requires a definition of terms. $0.02
High bypass turbofans are getting to turboprop efficiency and prop fans completely obliterate turboprops in efficiency at the cost of higher noise and vibration.

Not impressive a waterjet machine can cut hardened steel. the problem is you have to replace the nozzle about once a month. the water pressure will simply eat the entire pump. it a short time. those nozzles are made of impregnated tungsten carbide. same material used on Jet engines. water has a tremendous amount of strength. when you force water in high pressure is will eat just about anything. it can be done but extremely costly to maintain. also, high-pressure sand will also eat away just about anything. so when you combine water mixed with particles of sand that pump would not last a month .
And yet there are Hamilton Jet boats all over the place that have had little to no maintenance of the jet unit for decades that still run great. Your concerns don't bear out in practice. This is not new tech, it was developed in the 1940s, and is proven.
This is the only video I have find on CZcams that shows how the water jet works
Very informative video. This is exactly what i was looking for. Thanks!

These seem like a vast improvement from standard prop systems.
the most video ever; thank you 🙏🏼
I was curious, I youtubed it, i now know how it works. I thank you. Lol
I feel this exactly

Hahah same here
Yup, same

insane idea. masterpiece of engeneering
Cool! I finally get the point of having fixed stator vanes.
Very impressive! Good video!
great explanation!
Thank you for great explanation
Okay, I'm sold. I want one!
, you can buy product from www.liangtongda.com/
Hook it up to an electric engine and you are good to go.
Great explanation.. Thank you
This is very impressive technology
Jeremy Clarkson should've watched this before doing their first episode of Seamen.

Thats why im here 😁

This was done in Lightwave 3D, about 8 years ago.
thank you so much for this video do you can show me how to install water jet?

How do you "Crab" or walk to the side as in docking? What position should the buckets be in and what should the RPM be?

Is it possible for a small animal to get sucked up in there? Or is there some kind of grate covering?
Excellent invention!!!..a boat propulsion and brake system! Would have saved the Titanic.

Does Kavitation in the jet affected?
Very cool video
I am also working on water jet for ocean going marine vehicles like container liner also using renewable energy like solar and wind .
It’s called a sailboat + water hose
nice vidio! I clear!
I always wanted to know how this works but i keep forgetting. Now i know.

and how much is this waterjet propulsion?
What is a "visel"?
Awesome 😎 😎
Could this work on a mega vessel or would the weight of the vessel be to heavy for it to properly steer or go in reverse
It could work, but it would not be economical.
Excellent

Все верно, но шум создаваемый таким двигателем слышен за много миль вокруг, если это актуально!
Can someone tell me why the stator veins are necessary? Why not just let the propeller spin the water?
Unwanted torque most likely, and probably to save energy that would be lost in the spin.
where do they burn the fuel?just like air plane jet or what?
the turbine is powered by a engine further up the vessel. notice the drive shaft thats powering the turbine

JET BOAT🙏🙏🙏
Have fun super2 jet jumbo

a jet will never be as efficient as a prop... whether in planes or boats
you are right, not in boats, but in planes they are more efficient
Props have an increasingly difficult time moving air as the forward speed of an airplane gets closer to mach 1.
Jet propulsion is more effective than propeller.

I wonder if it’ll become improved in the future
