Cf is a bad idea... they're pretty brittle... They should try this veneer board again but change the veneer angles to strengthen certain areas... that should be pretty interesting!

By far the best ett in ages, these boards are awesome! I'd buy one! I'd love to be able to make them, I'm a carpenter joiner by trade, I just don't have the space or full knowledge to make a board, it would be worth the effort and something I'd love to do for a living, just there's not much call for it in England!

I know that compared to traditional wood and fiberglass it would be expensive to mass produce these, but wow. This material looks like a solid start to a great board.
You guys should make a snowboard that you can slip you shoes into like slippers that is make super light and that is glow in the dark , that would be sooo sick

you should put the middle veneers horizontal to the other ones to make biaxle strength or go all out and put one at plus45degrees and one at minus45degrees for triaxle that way you get more torsional strength
you guys should sell snowboards like that 100% you could make a lot of money off of them who doesn't want a strong durable and light snowboard I would defiantly buy one

+Rarest Gameing Do both. I prefer a board for having fun in fresh pow, and ski's for charging downhill on a icy days. Tricks feel a bit easier on a board too, but complex tricks look more fancy on ski in my opinion due too the crazy amount of grabs. Ah well, I don't see myself popping double corks anytime soon anyway so.. lol

A pycrete core would be cool. The core would have to stay under 32 degrees though..

I'm pretty amazed the full veneer board held up. That thing flexes like crazy. If you pause at 4:45, it looks like it's just about to snap.

I grew up learning to ski in the 70s how about taking old 70s skis and make a snowboard out of them.
