    Nonsense, they are emblems representing His body that was broken for us and His blood that was poured out for us. His words are spiritual words, not for the carnally minded. Example, He stated He was the true bread that came down from Heaven. He alone can give us water by which we will never thirst. We must spiritually ingest Christ into our being who is the source of eternal life. Spiritual words, spiritual words, spiritual words, what is it, and why is it there remains so much misunderstanding.

      John 6:52-59 he doubles down when people are offended saying "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?"
      After sacrificing the Passover lamb, the covenant people eat the sacrifice.
      We eat this perfect sacrifice of the Lamb of God just the same to participate in the sacrifice and enter into the covenant.

    It seems incredible, doesn’t it? Guess what? God is incredible and can do that and so much more! Why, if you truly believe in the power of God, do you not believe the Eucharist?

    Same idolatrous sin as Aaron with the golden calf. Here is your god who brought you out of Egypt. The eucharist, here is your god who saves you from your sins.
    A god made with with hands.
    ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭20:4‭-‬6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
    [4] “You shall not make for yourself a carved image-any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; [5] you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, [6] but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
    Repent and be saved.

      Jesus Christ is God and saves us from our sins. A golden calf can’t do that. Only Christ can. When we receive him.
      This is my Body.
      Repent and be saved.

    There is only One mediator between man and God, and that is Christ Jesus.

      Yeah, you prots always get this one wrong. Jesus is the One Mediator of the NT and of salvation. If you were to have read two verses earlier, the context of I Timothy 2:5 shows St. Paul commanding us “supplications, prayers and intercessions to be made for all men…” Intercession means mediation. Silly prot.

      @@TheBadTrad so, if you're looking at what he quotes, you'd understand my comment. He is talking about the eucharist and having to have a priest give,it as a pure mediator, not discussing believers praying and making intercession for one another. It's great you looked up scripture, keep reading it. But how you took what I said was out of context to the video in which we are commenting on.
      It's also, good to know you assume PROTS...seems you have some assumptions of your own you need to work on. There's only One Church, it's not Protestant, or Roman Catholic, or any other denomination or non-denominational body of believers. The One True Church or faith are all those who really know Jesus as Lord and Savior, are filled with His Holy Spirit. The Heavenly Father knows who they are, and His Son (Jesus) knows them, because they are His. This be said, repent, turn from your wicked ways and recieve Jesus Messiah as your Lord and Savior, and be born again. Praying for you. God bless!

      @@The-Great-Badge And what do you think the priest does on our behalf during the Mass? He’s making a prayer-in fact the highest form of prayer-to God the Father through His Son Jesus Christ on our behalf. That’s called mediation. That was my point.

    • @The-Great-Badge
      @The-Great-Badge Před 8 měsíci

      @@TheBadTrad I believe that's the point I'm trying to make. You see Jesus is our mediator, you can go to the Father yourself through Jesus. You're saying you want to go through the priest who then goes to Jesus, to the Father on our behalf...in all truth, we are called to walk in such a way, that when we pray to the Father, in Jesus, we don't need a secondary mediator. Thus there is only One mediator between people and The Father, Christ Jesus. Priest performing mass, is a man, just like you and I, we have the availability of the same access to the Father in Jesus. That's the point.

    • @TheBadTrad
      @TheBadTrad Před 8 měsíci +2

      @@The-Great-Badge What you’re missing is the fact that Christ established a priesthood-one that could confect the Eucharist which is His Body. Just anyone off the street can’t do that. And again, Paul says in Hebrews 9:15 and Hebrews 12:24 that Jesus is the mediator of THE NEW COVENANT, not prayer (which is the Mass). Intercession in prayer does not equate to being the mediator of the New Covenant; they are 2 entirely different things.

      @@HeyMichaelLeo let’s think about this. he was a protestant pastor and Biblical scholar who had everything to lose in converting to Catholicism. he heard all the same things you did about the Catholic Church. yet he still converted. there’s two possibilities here:
      1) he’s a madman who threw away his life for a Church he KNEW was corrupt
      2) he realized that he was wrong about the Church and was thus willing to give everything up to be a Catholic
      I have a feeling it’s the latter.

      It's what Christians should believe. Even Jesus himself said it. And even his apostles said it was a tough phrase to accept. But when you understand how sacrifice was performed in Moses time and how you partake in sacrifice, it makes sense that Jesus as the new paschal lamb is to be consumed.
      For God to be within us, we consume him literally.
      But yes, from someone not knowing anything about Abrahamic religion this would certainly seem odd.
