Hi all, I made a to scale timeline for the kings and prophets of the united to the divided kingdom because I got too bogged down by the difficult plot and details. The Royal and Divided Kingdom is the most difficult part for me because of the details and I wasn't a fan of war and battle stories. I tried looking all over for a timeline but they were not too scale - so it was hard to imagine the passage of time so I went on this process of making my own timeline. First putting down the years and kings according to the year of reign in the Great Adventure Bible. I printed them out, glued the paper together and make a long strip of timeline. I started writing note on everything I read from Day 106 up to 257. After a year or so, I finally digitized it, carefully typing and editing everything. Day 213 - The Redeemer Wednesday July 31st, 2024 Some of us who were attending the Traditional Latin Mass are mourning because the TLM has been suspended / canceled. In the Archdiocese of Washington, DC six churches / communities have been affected. Thank you, Father Mike!!! This is great! If there were more people like you in this world we wouldn’t be in this mess.

I don't really get the story of Job so far. So God let himself provoked by satan to test Jobs faith. But not only that, god just killed a bunch of people for that and even his kids? How would this be "just" or "love" towards the children to use them as a tool/fodder for his test. I really don't get it.

None of it ever makes sense to me until Father Mike summarizes and explains it. Then it becomes clear as a bell. I wish I could have the "wisdom" to read it and understand it on my own. Hopefully it will come in time.

I've listened to BIY every year since the beginning. It brought me back to Christianity and the Catholic church. Every year I listen to it I learn more. I'm also in my second year of listening to CIY. I thank God for Ascension Press and Fr. Mike.

I’m not a fan of polygamy I’m a fan of the truth. I believe God never rebuked David and Solomon about it, because he did not have a problem with it. In fact David repented and seek forgiveness from God after he committed adultery, neither David nor Solomon sought forgiveness for having many wives. Another example that proves that God is not against polygamy is Mat 25V1-13. There, Jesus compared the kingdom of heaven to marriage. It states that the kingdom of heaven is like a bridegroom marrying ten virgins. Now if the kingdom of heaven is something that is holy and pure I don’t think that Jesus would compared it to a style of marriage that is ungodly and dirty and state that they are similar. Keep in mind that the ruler of this world is satan and a lot of the world’s agenda contradicts the word of God. God tells us to be fruitful and multiply, but the world is in the business of reducing the population.

When I was a child I went to convent school. At the start of each class, we would look at the crucifix, take our pencils, put a cross at the top of our papers, and pray all for YOU, dear Jesus. No matter what may come of a class or the day our response should always be "ALL FOR YOU DEAR JESUS." We learned it doesn't matter what the class or day holds, as long as we offer it up to the Lord. It is not how good or bad things go but our response to it. Knowing that no matter what we are not alone Jesus walks with us. Our part is doing our very best to please Him in all things.

I am also feel Jeremia burden as I am myself hated by everyone and walking alone in life. :(

30 July 2024. The Scripture reading and Fr. Mike's commentary is VERY APPROPRIATE especially a few days after the 2024 Olympic Ceremony controversy. Thank you Fr. Mike for soothing my anguish and disgust about the blatant mockery not only of The Last Supper but of our LORD Himself. LORD, have mercy on us ALL.😔

I have a habit of picking up books in charity shops, they are a gold mine, today I found two and got chatting to the lady who was serving me, she is an avid reader, she said she had even read the Bible, so I said " oh me too a few times" then she said " even though we know it's a work of fiction!" I was so taken aback I just didn't know what to say. Oh for a brain that could give a lightening fast response, I did not want to shoot off a reply that would make her feel awkward, and in my hesitation lost the moment. I am annoyed with myself for missing the opportunity to witness, I had a mum-chance moment ! ( look that up if you don't know it, unusual but apt word ) My only consolation is at least she read it, not many unbelievers would.😔

I am not able to keep up with names and reigns.

Great reminders! * Egypt's help is worthless for Jodah. This shows that if God is not there to help us then all other help is useless. The same is true for our will to help. We can't help others if God is unwilling. We will be ashamed because of our uselessness. * Not all voices are from God. We must also not seek advise from fortune tellers, or those offering quick fix. We must trust on GOD. * Wait is hard but we must wait for God's help! * Five condemnation in the book of Zephaniah- rebellion against God, oppressing city (spreading the rebellious spirit / sin to others- we must not imitate others' sins and also not act in a way that will inspire others to sin), we must not ignore God's voice of correction, we must trust God, we must not be over indulgent (have a long term vision for the future and for others/future generations), doing violence to words of God. * The unjust and sinners know no shame. We see many sinners shamelessly sinning and being proud of their deeds. We often see those with grace and dignity knowing what to do and what not. We see repentance whenever we feel ashamed of our past sins. Thus, God will turn our shame to glory through Jesus Christ! Thank you Fr. Mike and Team Ascension. Really beautiful trust displayed by David especially when he sends Zadok and Abiathar back into Jerusalem with the Ark of the Covenant. It seems like David trusted God so much that even if he was making the wrong decision by sending the priests back into the city, he would accept what God would do to him- “but if he says, ‘I have no pleasure in you,’ behold, here I am, let him do to me what seems good to him.”” ‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭15‬:‭26‬ ‭RSV-C‬‬

Day 211..let's do this! Prayers for Father Mike and all the BIY family 🙏❤..

God revealed to me that I had idols - sounds dumb now but I didn't even realize it.....AND I had them on high places. I collected Elvis and Wonder Woman memorabilia - loved them. I had a hand painted Wonder Woman poster hung on my wall, and an Elvis clock on my wall made out of a record, both high on different walls - I had collected Elvis stuff since before I was 12, I was 12 when Elvis died...so for a long time. The LORD revealed to me I idolized my collections. The clock literally fell off my wall, by itself, the face of the clock fell to the ground and the "nose" broke. Needless to say I knew I had to get rid of my collections (I believe Holy Spirit inspired), I threw everything away, with peace. I had a friend say I could have sold them and given the money to the poor, I had decided I didn't want to cause anyone else to sin, I threw everything away and I am so happy I did........ look around, if you idolize anything just throw it away. I hope this helps someone :) The Bile is alive and active for all generations!!! Sweet Jesus, thank you for everything!

What a gift! Thank You Father Mike, BIY team, and our BIY community. I know I never would have read the entire bible let alone read it and understand it without all of you. I gave myself two years but with your prayers and support I finished in 18 months. I will continue to pray for all of you please pray for me - God Bless!

For thouse who are rightly disturbed by the violence God commands in the Old Testament think of it this way. To God, someone dying is not them being removed from existence but rather just them moving from one reality to the next. To put this in video Game terms God is commanding Israel to "log out" the people of the land from Earth, and send them to the "real world" aka the afterlife. This is done in order to quarantine those people. The evil people are stopped from doing further evil and harm to themselves or others and the "innocent" people are protected from becoming corrupted. This is only allowable when God Himself commands it. God now speaks to humanity through the Church, and that church does not have the authority to order genocide as it would contradict previous teachings.

Very interesting reading, I never knew the strange things Ezekiel went through! The 390 days seem to line up with the 390 days in Genesis (Noah's Ark), if I recall correctly :-)

I'm struggling with following along, with all the names and name changes. Perhaps it's my short attention span. I hope it gets easier.
