God has blessed you with a lot of heart Mr. Glover . I am so" glad that he has put it in your heart to increase our chances of living through a bad " day . Thank you for being a good shepherd . God bless You and Kevin and everyone at Field Craft Survival .
Couldn’t have said it better myself. They’ve opened a Fieldcraft NC and I am going to give myself an early Christmas present of some of Kevin’s fundamental classes.
Psalms 44:6
“For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.”
Psalms 44:7
“But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us.”
this is probably the most concise training I've seen around grip. beautifully executed
He seems like a great man and great coach.
I can’t believe he gave this to us for free, mane.
Amazing lesson. Directly applied and I can see and feel the difference in my game.
Thank you Sensei Glover
Wtf is a mane Lol
@@thealize808 cool people already know lol
@@pimpovic2 im Dutch so please explain

Lots of respect for him . I'm from Pakistan and I carry it for my protection. He has made it so simple and has raised my confidence level
Watching Mike drive tacks into a target is maybe the most impressive thing I've seen in a while... awesome video
You ain't lyin', man...I was like "WTF" !! after he did it...lol
When I attended Mike's Pistol Gunfighter 101 Class around two months ago, we spent nearly an hour going over this exact same process before even going hot. Absolutely without doubt the best tactical firearms training available to civilians. Mike & his team are top notch and your experience will exceed your expectations guaranteed. Money well spent!
Did he demonstrate by shooting the center of the target out like that? Jesus Christ
How much was that course?
@@viciousKev Its really not impressive from a couple metres away
Awesome video...Speechless.
People who haven't shot a lot will be impressed by him. But people who are competent with a firearm will quickly find that 95% of the words are unnecessary.
Mike is a beautiful human being. I can listen to him teach for hours.
Agree 100%, God bless this man.
You might as well bust out the Lubriderm and paper towels
18:57 call me a child, but that made me lol.
This is the best grip video I've seen yet. The demonstration of hammer grip and locking the wrist is something I've been looking for, because everyone talks about it but no one really discusses what it means, or how to do it and how to practice it.
I recently purchased a Leopold DeltaPoint red dog. And my shooting went to crap. I reviewed this video and went through my fundamentals which revealed several issues with both grip and trigger control. I went to the range and only shot 20 rounds using this video. My shooting ability increased 100% at 10 yards got multiple bull’s-eye shots kept a 3/5 shot string all an acceptable area
10x better than any other grip video I’ve seen. And I’ve seen quite a few.
This dude is great.
Thank you.
Dang, I got 2 videos about grip in 1 day! (WPS had one I watched just before this one, both were great and brought up different points) This must mean I need to train more... Oh darn, I guess I'll have to let the wife know we need to increase the ammo budget. I like that Glover gives drills in his videos, really adds value.
notice mikes grip is the same as johns not the battle gome ;)
@@opwards That's the 6.7% that the battle gnome spoke of.
You poor bastard! You need to train. Tell her it is a safety issue.
"Notice that I'm erect...yup." 🤣 Little humor goes a long way to lighten the mood when addressing something so serious.
I have always appreciated the teaching ability of SF guys, much appreciated brother. This is a very worthwhile intro for folks just getting their initial exposure, it is also an excellent refresher.
"Yup"
Phenomenal instruction. Thought i was watching something i should be paying for. I need to get into your class asap.
This is the best training guide I have ever come across when it comes to proper grip fundamentals on a pistol!!! Thanks for making this--now I can reference this for other who would like to nail down the details!!!
This is the most well put together comprehensive Grip video I've ever seen! I will watch this every morning.
I love everyone's videos on grip someone always offers me a tip that I have never heard before, keep them coming. Only us oldtimer vets understand the old word Nomenclature. Tip of the day is the stiff wrist a major cause of malfunctions and misfeeds also raising elbows to increase grip torque. BZ
This technique helped me get marksmanship on the M9 pistol for Security Forces , shout out to Mike for teaching me great technique
wow, I was watching grip videos all week and was hoping Mike would put one out. It's my b-day soon, and this was a pleasant gift.
Mike, I saw your first version of this video like a year ago, and I loved it. I unfortunately fell into bad practice and let it slip. I just got a new pistol and couldn’t hit shit. The next day, you put this out, reminded me of all of this, and now I’m back on the mark. God bless you, sir, you’re a much bigger help to people than you know.
This is the best demo of pistol grip I have seen.
Damn Mike. I thought I liked your original tutorial on the pistol grip but this is on an incredible new level.
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is gold! Thank you, Mike!
This isn't one of those videos that I won't simply watch once.
This video will be watched at least once a week.
My pistol skills are weak.
Thanks for the coaching!
This is the best instruction about gripping a handgun that is clear and I can apply on my own diagnostics. Thank you, Mike!
Stoked you remade this video in a glossy version. It's great.
I’ve been shooting for over 30 years and this is by far the best explanation of grip I’ve ever seen. Thank you!
Look, it doesn't matter what your background is, Mike Glover gives you what has cost him a lifetime to learn. He wants you to be better. He wants good people to prevail. He wants you to come to a class, but he knows that isn't always possible. The least you can do is download the wisdom presented and practice it in whatever manner you can afford (time and money doesn't grow on trees). My friend Pat Rogers, rest in peace and create havoc, used to always say "you have the rest of your life" to conquer the issue at hand, "don't fuck up".
Fundamentals aren't sexy. Step by step seems beneath us. I would submit to you that there is absolutely nothing that works, lasts, or performs without proper foundation. Take your time. You have the rest of your life.
Mike, thank you.
Pat, we are diminished.
I'll definitely be coming back to this periodically for refresher on my grip.. hey, it's easy to squeeze the trigger, not as easy to be on target and ensure the "tool" is safely held sometimes.
The best video and explanation of grip i’ve ever seen. Thank you for your tutorial.
Excellent breakdown of fundamentals and practical drills, some of this stuff isn't even taught by well- versed and proficient instructors from a variety of backgrounds. Keep up the fire!
You, sir, seem like a right badass.
@@defenderofwisdom I dunno about that haha, but thank you sir-- cheers and hails!
Mike glover just leveled me up a ton. Love this guy.
I have watched this video probably 10+ times and each time I take away something new to work on. This information has improved my shooting a ton! I can't believe Mike just gives this kind of high quality instruction to us for FREE! Thank you Mike Glover! Thank you for your service and all that you continue to do for us regular civilians!
I attended one of Mike's combat pistol courses. Learning to deploy the fundamentals efficiently. Once that is accomplished it's all about trigger manipulation and sight picture!
Honestly, Mike. I cannot thank you enough for this video. Helped me immensely.
You are a genius!!!! 1st try after this video, between 15 to 18ft, string of 5 shots, gun: P226 Legion. All shots inside de X... YOU ARE A GENIUS!!!
Beautifully demonstrated with a beautiful weapon system. Legit AF as always.
Really awesome. Spent two hours this morning at the range trying to figure out why the gun kept to escape from my left thumb support at every shot, and why I as unable to instinctively place my weak hand in full contact with the frame wituout effort or cumbersome adjustments...this video, and only this one, has been so revealing and covered all the basics. Can’t wait to apply new ways and keeping growing up on fundamentals. Thanks a lot. Subscribed, thumb up, thinking about supporting the channel and the teacher.
Glover and Lovell both drop a grip video on the same day! Thanks! Great instructions for all levels of shooter! JJ
That’s the best grip video I’ve seen. Thanks Mike.
Outstanding video, thank you. "Train and master the basics," is some overall life wisdom.
Learning the basics from Mike is like finding gold 🙏🏽 Thanks Mike
Rarely do I see a CZcams video that is presented so well. The practical application of grip is so fundamental to recoil control. This was one of the best teaching grip execution videos I've ever seen taught. It's made me a better shooter
Excellent video. This helps me understand what I am doing wrong at the range.
Absolutely amazing instruction! Thank you
This vid is simply monumental.
Great work!
One hell of a instructor.
Perfect in depth information. Well done.
This helped me a lot Mike. Thanks.
Thank you, Mr. Glover
Awesome video clear cut and straight to the point.
Excellent class Mike. Thanks for this. 💯🏆
Never had a more Thorough explanation of grip ever hit these ears. All the books, training, range time or tutorials that I have read, watched or completed have I ever heard it explained so perfectly. At 47 I’m still learning and Loving the never ending quest of Self Defense and bettering myself to be better tomorrow then I was Today….. Thank You n Rock On 🤘🏽
Great tutorial. Mike Glover is the man!
Greatly appreciate your time and lesson! Thank you
Great video! Definitely will add this to my instruction plan with my students, and myself. We are always open to learn!
Sure appreciate you posting this vid. As others have mentioned, this is by far the most comprehensive pistol grip video I've seen. Thanks.
Very concise, excellent explanation and application
Excellent Video! Saving it to review periodically.
This is probably the best video I've seen on mastering the grip. Great job man
@The Fieldcraft Survival
Excellent content once again.
I’m going to apply these techniques at the range. Thanks Mike Glover for sharing
WOW! The "LEFT" Thump Analogy is eye-opening for me! This is "Awesome"! Thank You Mike!
Thanks Mike, I appreciate the way you break the steps down. It makes it easier to see the science. The way you teach makes things clearer and easier to understand the action and reaction of the shot process. Much thanks
This channel has really expanded into a great resource for education and training, this got me to subscribe.
Glover is a awesome teacher. Great video
Thanks for the knowledge transfer this is one of the best on fundamentals of pistol gun fighting.
Outstanding video, thanks!
Great video, thanks Mike.
Outstanding instruction as usual, Mike! Some time ago I watched one of your older videos on pistol stuff where you described the hammer grip. That was really a big one for me in improving my shooting. I've also found that working on my one-handed shooting at least as much as my two-handed shooting has worked wonders for every aspect of my shot process (not to mention that it is an absolutely critical skill in defensive shooting). One-handed shooting will make you highly aware of a limp wrist if you're paying any attention to what you're doing! I'm looking forward to training with you in the not-too-distant future. Blessings, and thank you for your continued service to your country and its citizenry.
A lot of good info and a solid serious attitude in the demos!
Nice video
Good stuff, Mike. Thank you
What an awesome, no nonsense, video on grip. Very detailed and explained very professional, some people are born to teach/instruct. Lots of great information in this video for sure.
Can't wait to apply this at the range next week. I'm all over the place so I'll let you know if your techniques helped. I'll watch this video a few more times before we go. Thanks for the very detailed instructions. I'll share this video with my friends. Thank you for your service!!!
Mike, thank for you for sharing your shooting skills. Good skills, helps to keep you alive.
Stellar instruction Mike. I loved the step by step breakdown and analysis. Watching this video, I saw a flaw in my grip that I was totally unaware of. I have been dropping my elbows. Can't wait to get to the range and apply this technique. Thank you.
The knowledge is impeccably demonstrated.
One of the best demo's on how to grip a pistol... excellent job!!!!!
Masterful, articulate, concise and grounded.
Best grip explanation ive seen, and ive seen some good ones.
Best instructions on pistol handling I have ever seen so far.
Well put together video. I learned a lot, thank you.
A fantastic video, I finally see where the gaps in my technique are. And I love the fact he presented practical exercises to work out those kinks! Great stuff!
Excellent execution of explaining proper grip! You are CLEAR AND CONCISE in your explanation. Thanks!
this is the way.
mike, u provide excellent explanation and instruction.
thank you.
Absolutely remarkable teacher
Awesome info as usual brother.
Although a lot of us have known these things for awhile, you explained it perfectly. Very valuable info for new shooters.
Best description ever. 👍👏👏
Thank you for sharing these basics!! Exactly what I was looking for 🙏
MR. GLOVER THANK YOU!!!
I'm glad you're on our side thank you for your service.
Best instructional video I’ve seen. Mike Glover a great teacher. Been struggling with my hand grip; especially elbow positioning. Thank you.
Mike, sincerely.. I just wanted to thank you for your hard work and the effort that goes into creating these videos. And I mean ALL the effort, from directly creating it, your deployments and experience in the past and to deciding to give your time and expertise to teach us. I just took my basic pistol course two days ago and got certified for concealed carry. I owe A LOT of the confidence I had when manipulating my firearm to you. From watching and rewatching your videos countless times and practicing in my room. I executed when it really mattered and passed my class. Because of your vids, my groupings at 7 yards and beyond were stellar. Not to toot my own horn, I observed the other students targets and concluded that had they been aware of a valuable resource like this channel, they could have passed their tests too. So thank you again
Great tutorial, thank you
Outstanding video resource. I hope to be able to attend a few classes in person in the future but I am truly thankful for posts like this.
This is so helpful! I just bought the Sig Rose p365 XL comp and I'm a newbie. You are a fantastic instructor.
Thanks for this Mike. I like the way you broke it down. I finally got to the range yesterday after way too long and I was dropping a lot of my shots to the left. I knew I needed to work on my grip but wasn't quite getting settled in with it right. Seeing how you demonstrated this makes a lot of sense and helped me to see what I was doing wrong. You gave some great tips that I'll be applying going forward. I appreciate you!
Thank you Mike!
Amazing video ! Thanks
Thank you , this video is highly informative.
Can always learn something..Can't wait to get on the range with your tips. Thanks!
