I've watched this many times, and run through shot breakdowns in my head, and thinking about how much work you've put into some of these shots that only take up a second or two in a sequence boggles my mind.
Starting reading Punpun last week. Nearly finished with it. To say it's been a difficult (but amazing) read would be an understatement. It's emotionally draining at times, like slowly sinking into a deep darkness that you can't move in nor escape from and the only way out is to sink down deeper till you come out the bottom. It's a beautiful but depressing work of art. Edit: I finished it and that last volume still fucking hurts 😢. The more I think about it the sadder it makes me. It makes me wish I could help people like Aiko and Punpun. What happened to them shouldn't happen to anyone. Your two videos beautifully capture the tone of the first two volumes. Excellent work. That shot of Yuichi at the end gave me chills.
1:19 I can't watch pass this shot idk why. I'm replaying it again and again. The Hair of Aiko is soo memorable for me that it actually visually moving like how I visualised it while reading the manga (the Mangaka made us visualise it) is just god tier editing. I love you man. I love you a lot

i only read oyasumi punpun recently and i can tell this series of yours is nothing less than a masterpiece. a beautiful piece of art. from the music to the choice of panels and their movements, it simply is perfect and really speaks to my heart. expecting more from you.
This is honestly amazing, it looks so professional, I know a little about editing yet I have no idea how you transformed the manga panels into a 3D looking video lol. Good shit
The best edits about punpun online. Looking forward to more of your works! I can easily imagine the music becoming darker and darker after every installation.
