Just hiked this trail yesterday 7-28-24 and i agree my gps said it was 7.35 miles one way. I can say tho that things have changed, trail has been maintained well, no more blow downs anywhere brush cut back etc. It was pleasant, i can say tho on the other side at other parking lot is so over grown now.
Makes sense. Middle of summer trail conditions versus late winter-early spring. But that parking lot won't get sorted until they fix the blowout of the road
