England were trotting around like their shoelaces were tied together. To beat any defence, you need sprints: lots of them; multiple players sprinting; diagonal sprints; sprints across each other. That's how you stretch a defence. Trotting is for horses.

Slovenia repeating Portugal's feat in 2016, passing the group stage in 3rd place with 3 draws. Denmark did better, in 2nd with 3 draws as well. But this is a sad group, just one victory.
If Ralf Rangnick managed this England squad not only would England probably win this tournament they'd likely set the all time record for positive goal differential too. With Southgate at the wheel however England might not even get through the round of 16. It's mind boggling.

At the begining of this tournament I have always thought that the best team (not necessarily players but team) from this squad would be Pickford, Walker,Stones,Guehi,Shaw if he's fit and Gomez if he's not,Alexander Arnold in front of the back four with license to roam,Rice and Mainoo in midfield with Gordon on the left,Foden in the middle and Sako on the right. This would enable AA to play a quarter back role with passing options on both flanks to occupy the full backs and with two overlapping or under cutting full backs to pressure the Midfield /centre backs down the centre a forward who doesn't come back all the time and puts pressure on the CB to twist or stay and two midfielders to recieve shirt passes and either switch play to the wings or push on and if course AA has the option to attack either flank or the centre.
Yet again - ANOTHER BORING MATCH 😴 All England’s matches so far have been LACKLUSTRE to say the least.
When will the they realize the english players just aren’t that good.

I don't understand why they are a disappointment to others as england cant be perfect at everything, music, actors, writers & football for such a small country much smaller than most other European countries whilst Slovenia ate going crazy happy over a draw whilst we got booed for a draw and getting through. I will say though they shouldn't be getting 150million but should be getting minimum wage.
