Yeah you should also be able to make aunt/uncles or step parents and step siblings.
The one thing I like about scenarios is that alongside CAS story mode, they are very useful for building up save files filled with townies with quick backstories. The “place in existing save” feature is really useful to say, place a recently broken up couple in your legacy challenge right away without needing to jump into their household, break them up yourself, and hop back into your household. I hope they release all of the scenarios eventually to give us some more variety in the households we make for them (and make the limited ones return eventually)

I hope they give us the option later to add a scenario to an existing household too. Your single sim just had triplets, add the Too Many Toddlers Scenario in some way. Could make things fun. Great Chaotic Video!

Not existing save, existing household. Like a family or sim you have already played with before. You can only begin a new family in an existing save file for a scenario.

I've tried all 3 and lemme tell ya, the easiest is the money one. The hardest is the Toddler one (the stress of 3!!!) and the love one is the most tension fueled!
I did too and I disagree entirely, the toddler one was by far the easiest for me, and and money one the most time consuming.
I had the easiest time with the love one myself, I just had my Sim cry it out and meet someone new. I've been doing a 100 baby challenge so three toddlers wasn't so bad in comparison. I'd had a lot of practice already lol. The money one would probably take the longest for me, if I earn the money legitimately of course

Nah, the toddler one was easy. My game glitched out a bit though. It was only supposed to take 4 sim days but didn’t register until the 5th. Then I got all three toddlers skilled maxed out before their birthdays. 2 of them on the 5th day and the 3rd right before I aged her up on the 6th day. I think the money one is the hardest simply because it takes so long
I just completed the have a million simoleons one today, with no cheats. I used every single trick that Stanley has taught us over the years to make money. I even started on an empty lot and not a house so made it proper rags to riches.
how long did it take you to complete?
Part of me wants to cheat it just to see if it'll work. Like, will it care if I adjust the household income? Is it that smart? 🤔
@@ValKagamineNyan 47 sims days. I put a couple in a micro home and kept them with the basics to keep their bills really low and dumpster dived, played the piano in bars, maxed out their jobs, used their points to buy money trees, bread frogs, everything I could think off
I'm doing that one too also from an empty lot. I immediately went and forgaing and brought back lots of plants to put on the lot to harvest and sell. Small house, high paying job & painting are working well for me
I wanted to do it properly too, but a few days in and having just bought a toilet and a mini fridge, my sim won the lottery. So yeah I got a million simoleons in three days.
Im currently playing a household I started with this scenario and let me tell you, it's the most fun I've had playing Sims in a while. I started making them hate each other a little bit more and getting them both in relationships and the guy "accidentally" got Summer Holiday pregnant after a couple Risky WooHoos (mod). Then the girl caught on fire trying to cook bc for some reason she is terrible at cooking and the guy saved her so I thought that was the perfect time to start having them try to get along. I started to have them flirt but I think I may have accidentally made the guy drunk (mod), and I swear to God I had no involvement in this, they tried for a baby and she got knocked up. In the mean time, I had signed them up to care for foster kids (mod) bc I was curious to see what it was like and didn't plan on keeping the kids but I fell in love with the two kids I got. Long story short they got married, adopted a child and a toddler, won custody of Summer's child after long years of battle in court (just moved him in once he became a child so I wouldn't have to worry about another toddler) and had two kids biologically theirs. I finished the scenario in 22 Sim-days and currently they are both almost maxing their careers, with 5 amazing kids thriving in school, and thinking about becoming foster parents again after they retire.

i loooove that!! ive heard ppl say that the difference between sims 4 & previous sims games is that in sims 4 you’re in control of absolutely everything, like playing dolls, and in other sims games the fun is in seeing what happens to your sims outside of your control. both have pros, but i think scenarios are a good way to take the pressure off the player to think of EVERYTHING
also I feel like the sims doesn't have a strong enough relationship memory system for this to work. like the game never remembers what the past relationship between two sims is, it only keeps track of the current relationship, which is an issue that should have been addressed before releasing this challenge
its not in the game but the mcc mod lets you not have relationship culling so your sims will never forget eachother so you wont forget your kids or parents after not talking to them for like 3 days lol it changes the game and lets you keep your extended family once you meet them. helpful for holidays so you can invite your whole family.
Weird, this was a little different to my break up scenario. They had the "broken up" thing in the relationship panel and they had slightly different but still negative sentiments. They also hated each other more I think.

The storyline that popped into my head is...
Bonnie and Tess were so in love and Tess really wanted a baby and Bonnie was so caught up in love that she kind of ignored her own feelings, but once she was pregnant is all came back to her and she was angry with herself for not speaking her needs/being honest with herself sooner, and resentful of her partner because she loves her so much and loves the image in her head of them as a little family with a baby but she just can't be completely carefree and excited like Tess is - especially because their savings doesn't feel secure enough for her.
Meanwhile Tess feels blindsided, because she thought they were in this together, and she was so thankful and in adoration of Bonnie for carrying their child (maybe she couldn't?) and she doesn't know what changed. She just felt like they were a team and in this together no matter how difficult it might be and now she doesn't know what will happen or if she will be a part of this family at all any more and she's angry - maybe she even feels abandoned?
So what I‘ve learnt today is that sandcastles can save ANY relationship
i’d quite like for them to give us a custom scenario creator - i feel like it might be great if they do it right. i’d assume it would be with limited choices but you would be able to set what tasks need to be accomplished out of a list and add a description. maybe you would be able to add household rules? where you set that you need a certain relationship between sims or amount of sims. maybe simmers could upload the scenarios to the gallery? also maybe then the more experienced simmers could go crazy with it and might be more likely to use them :p

I made my Sims cook together quite a lot, it gives them positive sentiment and overall useful. Really like this scenario.

I played this scenario and agree that getting them back together is hard af. I took the easy way out and had one of my Sims fall in love with someone else lol. It was a nice challenge, not as pointless as I thought it’d be. Hopefully we’ll get even more challenging scenarios with strong sentiments as time goes on.
I tried getting my Sims back together but they just got more angry. So I just had one of them cry until she wasn't sad anymore and found someone new. Definitely the easiest route
I took the "hardest" route (getting them back together romantically), and it only took eight Sims days since the sentiment was gone by then
I just take selfie since it's a game mechanic so it's not cheating. Finished in 12 sim minutes.
I tried to get mine to do that but now they despise each other. So one fell in love with Bella Goth but then her ex stole her so she fell in love with Zoe Patel. Getting married soon

New idea for a legacy challenge every generation has to start off with enemies to lovers you can't marry someone and have children with them unless you hated them first. No other requirements just that.

Hmmm. I am currently playing a nightmare legacy challenge where every generation is a new challenge (gen 1. 100 baby, had 9) gen 2. Rags to riches. Gen 3. Big brother takes care of toddler sister by being criminal (extreme violence mod) after mom died of anger when her spouse cheated. Gen 4 was/is black widow challenge (but 5 spouses, not 10, or maybe as many as I have time for) amd next gen might be this one, because it sounds fun. Besides, the kid is evil sooooo

I’m hoping they do more storyline ones rather than the challenge ones. I like both but I feel like the replay ability of the storyline ones (especially if they have different endings to try) will get me to try them again and again.
In my current legacy save my 1st gen couple had a cheating incident and broke up. I’m VERY excited to try this scenario with those two sims, it came out at the perfect time.
I started playing the same scenario and the game basically gave me the story. The guy absolutely despised his ex girlfriend and had a sentiment that went something along the lines of that he cannot trust her ever again. Which is interesting because he also has a "jealous" trait. So I went with it and blamed it all on her and he got the bed while she slept on the couch lol
Honestly, I think what I'm most looking forward to with scenarios is modders figuring out how to come up with their own!

LOVE your content! I figured I'd share some thoughts on scenarios that might offer some insight.
I believe that EA is releasing scenarios as a way to increase gameplay (obviously) - however, offering time-locked or limited-time scenarios can be used to promote "This month only, limited time ______ scenario!" which will possibly drive at least some players back to the game on a semi-regular basis (apart from just expansion/pack releases) which will technically inflate EA's Sims 4 numbers for reporting either internally or publicly.
Just my thoughts - but large companies do things like this all the time; I work in HR and internal marketing and see it a lot.

In what sense? I haven't played since the scenarios came out, so I don't know how bad the damage is.
what did it do
The Sims team breaks the game with every single update, pack, and expansion, lol. And it takes forever for them to fix the bugs, if they ever do. The bugs after Eco Living were so bad for me that I stopped playing for months.

I played this story this out on the sims 3 recently with a twist. I had a married couple with 2 kids, the husband wanted another kid but the wife was going through a midlife crisis so he attempted to seduce someone else. Before they got to woohoo he'd be caught. They divorced but slept in single beds side by side until their youngest was a teenager then he purchased another lot down the street and moved in there. She remarried and had another child but wasn't happy that her new hubby passed on the mermaid gene and ended things with him and eventually remarried her first husband and they sold the second house and are now on their honeymoon
Oof, interesting but aweful! I consider both the man and woman jerks in your scenario. I feel bad for the mermaid child and their father. Never really thought about sim bigotry before.
It's so fun to come up with stories in these games you just wouldn't want to see in real life. I'm currently working on a sort of modified 100 baby challenge with a vampire sim.

I really like the Too many Toddlers challenge, and the one thing I found is that the higher skilled your adult sim is, the easier it is going to be. Also, I didn't like the fact, that she couldn't have a partner, just one adult and unless the sim is wealthy they will have to go to work. It's a good thing that the toddlers age up quickly in a short life span.
I like how the sims traits effect their break up sentiments. I’ve played the scenario twice and emotional traits can effect the starting emotions and sentiments. :D There is also special dialog on some of the dialogue wheels like the mean dialogue wheel and romantic wheel.

I'm really really excited about the scenarios. If they had more of them, I would definitely get back into playing the Sims regularly. I just get overwhelmed with trying to play challenges without a way to easily track my progress.
I'm playing the todder one. But to make it harder i only play with the adult sim and dont even look at the toddlers needs. A lot guessing involved, but its fun!
I think the traits might have an effect on the sentiments (or maybe there's a randomized element) bc in the save I started one was furious and the other was not and one had apparently dumped the other according to moodlets

I did this recently and the best method to this I feel is getting the friendship bar back up. I used the soccer ball from university to raise the friendship bar back up then worked on the romance bar slowly.
I never had 5 unlocked for me. I looked multiple times. I think only some people had them unlocked. It was some bug or something. I think we are only suppose to have the 3 right now.

@@lininacrowne1941 I saw that but I am saying I think its a bug because not everyone has it including myself and that would explain why she no longer has them because she never was suppose to in the first place.
@@Zaralove1750 some people are saying try to start up your game without wifi and they'll show up? maybe they're time-restricted so connecting to the online features makes the game hide them bc its not the right time, but disconnecting makes the game not know to hide them so you can access them
@@seabb I could try that but to me that seems like that's still a bug that they didn't intend to happen. I can just wait for them to go live. I am still working on the making money scenario atm.

I had my sim get with the neighbor who had just completed Too Many Toddlers. I did keep playing and use photos so they would be friends before moving one of them out. It was my plan from the beginning, but them arguing as soon as I didn’t have something lined up with was challenging

The scenarios broke the UI for active career!! I wanted to have a rags to riches Special Agent sim, but it's impossible!
What do you mean? I've played only the romance scenario, but one of my girlies was in the conservation career and "working from home" functioned as usal for her, and I could also send her alone. I don't see why it would generally differ for the military career, as that uses the same game mechanics. Curious.
@@organicstorm when I play with the special agent career (and I've seen it happen in the scientist career as well) the work day UI is broken and clashing with the new scenario ui. They kinda overlap and you can't read the work tasks

Hopefully it'll be fixed soon-ish, but at the rate bug fixes have trickled to us this year it is unlikely to happen quickly. 😑 I prefer playing rotational and generational anyway, so this scenario bug probably won't annoy me personally, but it would be nice to have ONE patch that does not break sth new.

I built a house for this and added my first Murphy Bed since they first came out...it's fitting.
Update...the ex boyfriend pulled the bed out on the first night and was crushed! Death = fail I suppose!

I had to do a lot of cooking together and watching movies together to get my sims back together it actually was the hardest option of the scenario but I got it

The other scenarios only show up if u launch the game without connecting to the internet u can connect once u select the scenario u want and enter cas

I always go to this scenario because it fits the backstory for my OC that I made, for some reason they always spam mischief or funny interactions XD.
this one worked for me! i had two sims that had broken up live together, and a sim started dating a townie and they became soulmates. while they were dating my broken up sims were getting closer and closer together, rekindling things. they became best friends and eventually my other relationship broke up, and then my original broken up sims got back together and were soulmates. voila, all three in one.

I did it too and I made my sims get back together, instead of finding new sims for them... finished it in 6 sim days even though I had fun the first two days and made them argue and yell at each other then not talk to each other and eventually have small talks and then long conversations and eventually... ROMAAANCE! But... I don't know about scenarios... I also did "Too Many Toddlers" and they're not that difficult, don't last long and then nothing... I think it's a good foundation but hopefully for something a bit more... fun/challenging.
It is limited, but you can finish whenever once you start.
The only one I've done so far was Too Many Toddlers and I enjoyed it a lot. (I always love playing with toddlers though; that's why I chose it first.) But I noticed for some reason that the entire time my game was playing music even when the radio wasn't on and my Sim didn't have earbuds! It sounded like the build/buy background music but it was too generic for me to tell if it was from a pack and it was on an endless loop. I honestly couldn't figure out why but it was absolutely from the game because when I turned down the music using settings it was affected. Has anyone else noticed this glitch? I chose a current save and did Save As but obviously I created a new family for the challenge.
This feels like a parent trap scenario right here.
I like how the sims get different angry sentiments, when I tried this on my stream my sims weren't furious, but one was deeply wounded and the other was butter about breakup, so this might actually be a base for a storyline!
It took a LOT of Forced Friendship and Transcendent Charmer potions to resolve my Sims scenario.
