Thats a good vidio bro. I will say this though i washed many many roofs and never tied off. On one job it was mandatory that i do use a harness and i happen to slip and fell back at the top of roof. Hit my head and went skidding down 2 stories up. Luckly i was tied off and stopped at edge of roof. Walking on SH on a roof is very dangerous especially a tile roof. I like your set up and best of luck

I find it better to NOT pre-wet roofs, I used to pre-wet everything until I learned it was a waste of time! No need for it!

It depends on how bad the roof is. On this one which was bad he said he used a 50/50 with surfactant. If you were to make a 50-50 mix you would put approximately 12 gallons of SH and 12 gallons of water and some surfactant. That will fill your container just under the brim. With a 50-50 mix it would cut your SH percentage in half. If you started with 12 1/2% SH by the time you mixed it half with water it would be 6.25%

How do you treat a roof that has algae and mildew that is real stubborn? I've sprayed with sh 50/50 and a little surfactant. Let it sit and nothing.

Average about 20-30 gallons
I washed a painted metal roof yesterday and I had to literally walk the entire thing but wasn’t able to safely do it. Was 6/12 and about 3,000 sqft. I went to the ridge and cleans my way down as far as I could the did the rest from the bottom on the ladder. The cleaning mix wouldn’t get the bad liken off, had to use direct pressure and soft wash tips. Do u run into this alot? I’m trying to figure this out because I slipped about 5 times. Cut my hands and fingers about half way through the job and it came really nice and clean but took me literally all day and I’m blessed I’m not seriously injured. That was extremely dangerous
Slickest damn roof I’ve ever worked. Even after it was clean. The detached garage was maybe a 5/12 and same painted metal and I walked it no problem

You seem to be just freely walking all over the roof. I have a tile roof wash coming up and researching how to walk on them without cracking tiles. You seem like a more slender guy like myself, so how big of a deal is walking on them and being sure to step only on the seams. Or do us slender guys have more liberty to just freely walk them without worry?

Just started pressure washer business here in Houston but I kind of get discouraged about burning grass or burning plants doing a house wash are roof wash
just take caution it used to overwhelm me too. my advice would be rinse before during and after and cover plants that need and rinse roofs that need it. its all situational and your good. the more you do the more confidence you get

I will say this to be in all fairness? You really shouldn't walk on the roofs for a couple of reasons. I will say first you can slip on the roof .Two I know there's an OSHA regulation that you're supposed to tie off on any type of roof. Three you don't really want to take a chance even on tile roof I possibly cracking one of them let alone even onasphalt shingle roofs wanting up knocking the granules off because of walking on the roof. If you do need to be on you should still tie offbe very careful walking so that you don't crack tile roof or not granules off of shingle roofsand also if there's 40 mile an hour winds you either make a decision right then and there to reschedule or yes you do need to get closer to the roof to keep from the overspray
