One of my favorite TV series about cars and the people who love them and take care of them.... The British are happy people. They spend their entire lives repairing and restoring their cars. It's nice to see dreams come true. In season 5, episode 4, they are looking for something to sell from a collection of 150 cars. I think it’s better not to sell anything, but to turn this wonderful collection into a state automobile museum. After all, so many cars were collected with love... This collection is a huge work of one person and the people who created these cars. this work simply needs to be perpetuated. There is nothing to destroy it.

I have re-bodied two Minis, its really quick and easy. Take a large axe to the shell and put it in a skip, takes just a few hours. The rebuilding the engine and gearbox a couple of days once you have had the machining done and got the parts. Suspension if dry is easy, if hydro takes a while doing the plumbing and needing special equipment. The restoration should not take two years more like two months.
My biggest regret was letting go of a 69 Cooper. Didn't realise when I bought it that it dog tracked really bad (didn't think to have someone follow behind during the test drive. My mechanic was with me). No body shops had jigs that would've worked to align the sub frames and none of the mini home mechanics had ever needed to fab one. So it sat in a back alley for a couple years until I got an offer for $500 (mid 80's. I paid $1000 for it). Was the 1st Cooper that I could afford and the lemon yellow paint job should've been a hint. 🤣
