Have really enjoyed Elina on the court since her comeback🔥 Alittle more aggressive, definitely the fact that she is more relaxed has helped her a lot. One of the best players on tour over the best decade or so that hasn’t won a slam, hope it happens for her ❤

Elina Svitolina Monfils. Congrats! After concentrating on first being a great mother and wife she's regaining her tennis prowess. It's a great win for their family.

I hope this is the lucky year for Svetolina to win a Grand Slam as I’ve been rooting for her to win a GS before she hang her racket. It’s been a long time she’s been playing very well until the Semis and Finals but failed to get the best result of her career. Good luck and see you in the finals Elina.🙏🙏👏👏

Am I the only one puzzled how Wimbledon just plugs Svitolina every way they could on their social media the moment something happens in Ukraine? She’s a good player but look guys politics cannot make her plays “best” every time like that it’s just nonsense.
P.S.: Svitolina bringing up Ukraine absolutely unprompted and starting to cry immediately when the media attention gets anywhere near her is just pathetic. She is the only player (Ukrainian or not) I know of on either ATP or WTA tours to consistently bring politics to the beautiful sport of tennis - on cult courts like Wimbledon that kind of whining should be just banned altogether. Fine her for hypocrisy. Hope she packs her bags soon as her behavior towards Rybakina has already been very unsportsmanlike. Yes war is terrible, but no people should not be constantly hearing about it on the court, especially from someone who barely lives in Ukraine and has a history of unsportsmanlike conduct.
You can see Svitolina lying through and through - if it was so “hard to focus”, she wouldn’t end up winning it 6-2, 6-1, period. It wasn’t hard to focus - if anything, she deliberately made it hard for herself. She even brought the black ribbon of Saint George (historically Russian military symbol consisting of a black and orange bicolour pattern dating back to Russian empire and used by all USSR constituent countries as a sign of Second World War victory against nazism) - if anything, she reminded herself of what happened today according to the media. She distracted herself from the game and distracted all fans of tennis watching that match as well, complaining about it after the match is just so hypocritical.
This drama queen lives in London (she bought a London residence) and other fancy places like Monte Carlo and Dubai, happily married to a Frenchman with kids and yet she never fails to draw media attention to herself as a Ukrainian. Instead of asking the tours to remove Russian flags from all the players who did nothing wrong in their lives, refusing to shake hands with Russian and Belorussian players and crying every chance she gets on court and off court to remind everyone of Ukraine (not kidding, I learn all Ukrainian news from that lady complaining during interviews and sobbing on courts), she should just play her best tennis and draw attention this way. Sportsmen who use their fame to push for their agendas is so distasteful and disgusting.
I bet she will still cry and ask Wimbledon to provide free stay and other benefits to Ukrainians including herself. She already hinted on that pre-Wimbledon. Given that she has accumulated US$23,283,743 of prize money this is just over the top hypocritical.
The most powerful and generous people have one thing in common - the donate silently and anonymously to the charities that matter and otherwise support good cause without drawing constant attention to themselves.
That on court video is a remarkable exhibit of why Svitolina is a complete opposite of those people, go figure. This one also contradicts what she has told everyone about how hard it was, such a hypocrite. She is happy with her kid living abroad in luxury, yet she never fails to fake a cry for the kids she couldn’t care less back there…

Rybakina is a khaz citizen, has played Olympics, has passport long before the war, Elena already explained her reason. Uneducated comment
