    Very good review. thank you for the video.
    I really like the camera view in the middle with a realistic drive with a mix of town and motorway (highway) driving.
    Nice to hear the automatic gear changes with heavy acceleration and normal driving.
    What rev's was the engine doing at highway speeds and what was the highway speed ?
    I am looking into possibly buying one here in the U.K.
    Thanks again.

    Very nice! Good to see the market differences. In Europe, 95% of the Rio's have manual gearboxes. They were not sold as EX and SX, but as Base, Comfort Pack, Plus Pack and Super Plus Pack. The SX seems like the Super Plus Pack, with start button, climate control instead of a/c, alloy wheels etc.

    • @wolger
      @wolger Před rokem

      It is sad I can confirm manual gearbox is already extinct in Malaysia. I think there's only 1 model from each Proton and Perodua (local brands) has the manual gearbox variant. Foreign imports do not want to bring them into market except for Toyota GR models which are not for average consumers. I know for certain European market like the UK, manual gearboxes is a must.

      Yep, me too, the rims that is. But he has a problem with avoiding (pedestrian) curbs by the looks of it, because they are pretty banged up. Not to mention that his fuel consumption is 14L/100km, which is almost impossible UNLESS you push the engine and RPM to it's utter limits all day long. Fuel consumption should be somewhere around 6-7L/100km (combi highways/city roads) when driven normally.

    So the typical asian driver stereotype still holds some water :D LoL-hand position on wheel hehe
    And use of gas pedal and gearbox must be close to the opposite of what it was made to .. to make consumption go to 14 average ... thats about what u should get driving flatout on autobahn at 200km/h not those rolling speeds

    Bought a Kia Rio Aug 5 last year, car drives well but the automobile fuel efficiency is completely out of reach -- through research i found out that the official rating for fuel consumption is carried out in Korea and most supposely in close door in some manufacturing complex with gradually no real estimate, very disappointed. Overall, car runs well and service is made every 8,000 kms or any 4 months whichever comes first. But if you considering a Rio and at the same time wanting a fuel efficient car, please don't buy a Kia! This car consumes on avg 8.5l / l00kms on Canadian streets which is above other brands in my experience compared to more fuel efficiency Dodge Journey and Honda Accord.
