Never knew that one could use forest plants in an aquarium! Great job!!!

Thank you! However, be careful as only specific one’s are safe to use.

Very nice. Looks like an Eheim 60 cm tank. I'd like to see more.

Yes, I believe it‘s from the company that supplies Eheim with their tanks. An update is coming this week 😁

Great job…it came up really well and repurposing is so satisfying. Hope you change the black background…I sold my two back backed tanks and put white frost film on the new
one …it looks great. Show us how it looks with fish…👍🏽

Looks very nice. Is very realistic. Expect to see a tadpole swim by. What kind of fish would you choose? I have a similar aquarium, supported by a plastic frame. It’s about 20 years old, 30 gallons. I would like to aquascape it, how much weight do you think the bottom would support? The bottom glass on your aquarium is not supported across its length, I suspect mine is not either.

Thank you! I would guess 30 us gallons would end up being about 330 pounds / 150 kg. With smaller aquariums the weight of the aquarium can be held solely on the edges. The only thing to watch out for really is not getting single points of pressure by putting it on sand or rocks, or an uneven surface.
If you want more active fish, check out some barbs. There's quite the variety and they are usually easy to keep. If you want it more chill, I'd recommend tetras, e.g. cardinal tetra (They are actually super easy to keep as well). Personally, I stay away from "difficult" fish after 15 years of fish keeping.

Did you spray any vinegar onto the glass before using the scraper to scrap off the lime deposits?

Actually, I only used water to clean it. It required more elbow grease but I personally preferred it over using vinegar or other products. 🙂
