I actually got into an argument about queueing up to get on a flight with a member of staff at Birmingham airport years ago. I was with my young kids and they were sat by the window watching the planes and he came up to us having a massive hissy fit saying that we needed to stand in the queue. I tried explaining to him that it didn't matter who got on to the plane last but he wouldn't have it...needless to say I ignored him....
The whole queing thing does my head in-your seat is booked-you arent going anywhere and the plane is not going to take off without you if you are in the boarding area-great series of videos MacMaster-lets get this guy to 150k subscribers

I think the queue for boarding is due to overhead space angst. I used to travel a lot to and within Asia for business and the stampede when boarding was announced was epic.
The US carriers have boarded by "zones' for years now, thus avoiding stampeds and massive queues.
Or just conditioning you for the future 👍
I fly regularly to Bangkok and we board by zones too with seats stuated near plane check in.

I've recently returned from a week in Spain and found the bread infinitely better than that sold in the UK, especially the artisan baguettes. An airport is a country's public facade so it beats me why they are not serving the good stuff rather than the rubbish they sold you.
These airport duty free shops are a disgrace the prices they charge for food and drink .
I make myself something up to eat or just buy a meal deal if possible.
Next holiday with JET2 to Lanzarote for me . Happy days.

Another great travel vlog! What always makes me laugh are the pictures of the 'food' on the in-flight menu. Then when the stuff comes out it looks like half-cremated roadkill that's been scraped off the M1! 😆

Great travel vlog Lee. As you were leaving the hotel it looks like the local guard gave you a goodbye parade. What a magnificent gesture to leave €20 behind the bar for the “old lady”. Mind you no need for her to fly off like that at you. Be careful what you say also, about the fellow travellers at the airport. They might watch this vlog and catch up with you later on in a cafe bar lol😄. Always great to watch these travel blogs like I said previously it’s always like we’re travelling with you. They have really done the airport and station up since I was last there.
With all the announcements, my brain went into yada yada yada mode. Regarding the queuing, I wonder if it has got ingrained because of Easy Jet . In the early days they used to have "free for all" seating meaning a mad scramble to get the best seats.

Flying with Jet2 to Malaga on 6th November. Great to see you can now tap in and out on the train. Was queuing for what seemed like a life time at the ticket machines last time i was there, due to people not having a clue what to do!😀
You can buy a ticket from the machine for €10 and adding your passport number and it gives unlimited travel on that route for up to 3 months. We did it this year as we were there for 10 weeks, found out from friends who live there.
