I like Lance but Jack has so much intel on the pulse of this program and he talks about the whole program, doing get me wrong I like Lance and I watch him but this is my favorite Kentucky Podcast and they only talk about the sponsor at the end of the Video
Google the NBA combine measurements and compare Jaxson and Antonio. They are within an inch on pretty much everything but Jaxson is slightly longer/slightly more athletic. I think he's a similar shooter but the difference is Jaxson had green light as soon as he crosses half court and shot a ton of 25-30s footers, whereas Cal is never letting his guys shoot anything deeper than the NBA line except when the shot clock is going off. I dont know if Jaxson can have a season like Antonio next year, but Antonio's first yr at UK and Jaxson's season last year were eerily similar, down to being SEC/BIG12 sixth man of the year.
I know women’s basketball isn’t really that popular. But what Coach Brooks is doing. We Will make a Final 4 ; and a Championship. I wish somebody would give womens basketball a chance. We need to support ALL KY SPORTS. Womens Volleyball to.
I liked the show the other night, you guys went on an educated guess an it didn’t pay off. You put the work in to bring our fans what they want.. no risk no reward, i appreciate the effort, if people felt they missed something they shouldn’t have been watching anyways.
Love the show guys, one of my regular stops for BBN content! With that being said, and I don't take pleasure in critiquing Jack or Shawn's opinion cause we've all got one, and many more when it comes to these future Cats and our humble leader Mark Pope! Lol Who IMO, has done a respectable job getting the guys we've got in the amnt of time he's had to get them! Shawn said he doesn't think J Rob is a diff maker in terms of producing more wins or at least a better record? I'd have to disagree with that...after watching about 2 hrs of him and BYU, this kid is not only a bucket, but he's growing into a WALKING bucket similar to the growth that Antonio took from yr 2 to yr 3...Antonio might be a more polished shooter, but J Rob is long and sneaky crazy athletic. I don't want to say he's putting up Antonio numbers next year cause I think that would exceed everyone's expectations, but when BYU was ranked top 20 a big part of the year...he was literally their only bucket when they needed one and the Baylors, OK States etc. had trouble stopping him when they knew he was the one they had to stop....honestly I was very impressed with what I've seen on film from this young man and I think he is absolutely that piece we had to have to make all these shooters as dangerous they should be for any team we'll face next year! That's my opinion/rant boys, love the show! Keep up the good work, you guys do BBN proud!
Pope is a Disaster! BYU has been signing nothing but 5 star and 4 star players since he left and BYU is celebrating his departure. We now suck and BYU is the true “Blue Blood!” Very Depressing! 😢
Bring back Garrison and the freshman hopefully Otega takes the step up this year and be a late first round pick next year that means he’s been really good go get 2-3 5 stars a couple development pieces and 2 really good transfers next year and continue that process. That’s what Dan and UConn has been doing along with Huston and Baylor Duke UNC. I’m confident Allen Brooks gets a top 2 CG every year hopefully next yeah it will be Daryn or Jasper Jasper more than likely but I’d like both. But if you do that every year you’re good every year Bill did it at Kansas too it will be nice to have really good players come back for a second season or sometimes 3rd

When the system isn't working shots isn't falling guy's aren't hitting shots needing a player too elevate US isn't sustainable mark pope & his staff will tell the team hey shots just isn't falling but go out there PLAY GOOD def win the rebound battle get some turnovers with that you'll get some fast brakes a few DUNKS & shots will start to fall but the KEYS ARE good defense & rebounding comes OPPORTUNITY you guy's know that's more sustainable then depending just on 1 guy i understand what yo saying thro
Can anyone say platoon system? Tubby Smith knew how to implement it, and did it successfully. So many highly competitive players deserving minutes. Take those summer practices to the floor come fall. Breeds a cool team chemistry and vibe knowing everybody counts. And is counted on nightly. We got 12 guys who can all play. This year. Certainly, if need be. Riley or a redshirt at this point. Coleman would fit in with these cats , huh? Need another frontcourt body. Insurance.
91 percent from the charity strike will be big especially if Refs in the SEC give us the calls we deserve now that Cal is gone, and this Kentucky team is 4th in the SEC at worst
As much as I liked him, don't think there is room for him on the roster to get playing time. We already have two centers who may be more skilled than him.
I think 5 years ago Cals name might affect the rankings but not anymore. Started of at 16 last year with a top 4 roster 1-4 Cal just didn’t realize how good Adou was and is and he might miss use him this year and Arkansas 5 man roster is as good as anyone in the country outside maybe Alabama/Kansas and I don’t think anyone has Arkansas top 15
Dude he’s clearly Kentucky best player Otega can be if he can shoot the 3 at the same rate as Jaxson and Koby could be if he takes the same leap as Reeves did and be a driver and shooter instead of just shooter, but on paper Jaxson is clearly the best player

Uk needed and still needs a volume scorer and as much as I like Jaxson he’s not the scorer people are making him out to be. He barely shot 40%+ from the field and the Antonio Reeves comparisons are absurd and reaching, JR is a freak athlete and nice in the open court and a good defender but he isn’t the spot up shooter everyone is making him out to be.
This isn’t cals offense where you need a guy to take over. Popes system is to get open shots for guys and not just have one guy doing things on his own.
