Labradors can definitely be aggressive. My boy dog started showing signs of aggression towards his toys and bed when he was about 5 months old. We quickly corrected that behavior constantly and it took about 2 months for him to completely stop. My rescued dog is also a Lab. And she is very territorial towards strangers and other dogs. We've slowly been working with her and she is showing signs of improvement 😊
Yes Most Labs do show the sign of aggression but the most owners can do is correct that behavior with positive reinforcement which in your case you did and that is the reason you got those results😄 We're glad we could help you! Thank you for the Comment :)
That is great that you corrected the problem on time. My family was ignorant when I kept telling them about our dog's aggressive behavior. It never got corrected. I wanted to correct it but I also wanted some help and support from my family which I never got. I kept telling them that our dog needed to go for training. I was only 14 or 15 years of age at the time so I couldn't really do much.
I saw this video because our neighbour have a labrador, he comes to play with me everyday, today he was playing with his milk bone and when I tried to cuddle with him, he thought that I am trying to take away his bone and he caught my hand with his teeth and snapped, there was blood everywhere and my hand is teared by him. I saw my parents and lied to them that nothing happened because I am thinking that he is vaccinated and nothing will happen right?, I want to say one thing that all the reasons you stated are all true in case of it😥
My cocker spaniel got attacked by a chocolate lab today! Thankfully it never got a proper hold on her but it was scary and i froze in fear! I felt so bad i failed my cocker 😢 Its the third time i came across an aggressive lab :(
It's funny that they show aggression in this video with dogs that aren't labs. It's so rare that a lab is aggressive that you can't even find enough clips on the internet to make a video about it. Any breed can be mean, some are just more prone to show the traits. I've never seen a well raised lab show any signs of aggression.
Out beautiful yellow lab passed away last August. She was seven years old and the sweetest girl ever. We used to say that she was an angel sent from above. One morning we woke up to find her paralyzed from her hind legs. We took her to the hospital and we learned that she had cancer on her spine, it was aggressive and painful. We did everything possible to save her but we knew we had to let her go. Our family was devastated. Dakota had a beautiful soul , she was so loving even with strangers. We’re still grieving over her passing but we decided to get another puppy. Our home was too quiet. We got an eight week old puppy (black /charcoal lab. ) we immediately noticed that she had a completely different personality than Dakota. She’s now 7months old and she’s been growling at us when we try to take something from her. She’s even lunged at us. I’ve never seen a lab behave like that. I’m looking for a trainer to start working with her.
My lab and me love to wrestle and really get into it. She by accident bit my hand and it was bleeding. She immediately released and went into full blown I am so sorry mode 🤣. I wasn't mad at all. But she put her head right into my chest while crying.
@@nickhill8612 i think it depends on socialization also. Mine is very social towards strangers but it's a puppy and we let her greet with anybody trustworthy
When i married my wife, i got her dog too. Wife is from a part of alabama that really does not like black folks. So her dog tries to attack only black people. Not sure how to fix this
Even though the information may be true, the presentation makes no sense. Talking about food protection and showing a cute puppy who happens to lie down on their foodbowl is wrong. Dogs show us how they feel through actions... so show the actual actions/signs of what you're talking about. This video will give all the wrong signs to people.
I want my dog to be very aggressive because. I don't like people coming everytime in my property. I want people to be scared of my dog. And if my dog bites any stranger and he/she reportd to the authority, his/her family might already be in danger or he/she life might be in danger, because my men don't mess around.
Wtf are you saying? You don't make much sense except that you admit that if your dog bites a stranger on your property, the dog will be reported to the authorities. You make that sound like a good thing. It's not, that is if you want your dogs to live.
not true raised 2 dogs and 1 is aggressive and 1 is not u don't know what ur saying I'm disliking the video dominant animals are aggressive and my lab behaves aggressively we don't know why we always nice to him but he never bites my dad he also goes crazy with my dad never seen a lab get so wild I think he has some kind of explosive anger and explosive energy idk
@@Codesta-vh9jf Sure, but what is the percentage of labs to the percentage of other breeds? It's like saying a Chevy is less reliable than a Range Rover because more Chevys broke down last year. 5 percent of 100 is 5. 1 percent of 10,000 is 100. Just because there were 20 times more Chevys that broke down doesn't make them less reliable. You also have to consider the attack. Was the human mauled, or just bitten? Was it unprovoked? Almost every time a human is "attacked" by a lab, it's a single bite to get away.

Big lad you got there!
Can you suggest the best treat for lab puppy of 2month old ?

My friend and her dog were attacked today by a chocolate lab.
Her leg was dripping blood. Clueless owners who refuse to leash it.

This is about the simple truth of it. Labs are just not aggressive.

I'll always wonder if our lab is a mix.
Check it there are few features that Labrador has lookwise.

Yes and ours is aggressive around strangers and I think that's unusual for a lab.

You are right.
Once our lab gets to know people he will wag that tail and jump around and get his ball or frisbee.

if your lab is aggressive maybe you should've got a goldfish instead
That goes for all dog breeds. In 2016 labradors had the most cases of attacks on humans. So it is possible
