- The 2021 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction is in the history books, and what an event it was! Demand for classic trucks and SUVs is still growing, with @TOYOTAglobal’s legendary globetrotter, the Land Cruiser, continuing to be a hot-ticket item. Red hot, indeed: Of the 10 best-selling vehicles to wear the Toyota name, nine are members of the Land Cruiser family - and of those nine, six set new auction records. The Land Cruiser has leveraged itself as a staple of the collector car hobby. From FJs to FZs, the mighty Land Cruiser was trending for the make, with the sole exception being an exceedingly rare RHD 1989 Toyota Soarer Aerocabin Tom’s Limited Edition, which sold for a record $55,000. Check out the 10 best-selling Toyotas from the 2021 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction in the gallery below. @toyotausa

I own an 84 FJ60 Land Cruiser and remember them when being a teenager. I got one 5 years ago in good condition when you could buy under $10k. A keeper for me.
I bought my 82 for 1200 bucks... its a bit rusty but its mine and always gets me home
I have a complete set of Factory Shop Manuals (includes Body, "F" engine, and Emissions Manuals, 3 books) for the '81-'84FJ-60 .
For sale -- Contact me for details.
These are almost indestructable work horses. 3F engine.
I've had mine for 22 years now, out of it's 32 years life-span!
It's still in good nick, No major repairs, very low maintenance.
A keeper indeed.
Many Others have since come and gone....
Thirsty, but Awesome!!
I have a complete set of Genuine Toyota Repair Manuals, including Land Cruiser Chassis & Body Manual, 2F Engine Manual, and the 2F Engine Emission Control Manual -- all in very good condition.
I got them for my '83 FJ-60, which I bought for 11,800 dollars , drove for 170,000 miles, and sold for 7,600 dollars.
We have emissions testing here in Phoenix, and the Emissions Manual comes in real handy at testing time. All-ways passed with flying colors.
If you're interested in the Manuals, gimme a holler !!
@@joecruiser I dearly loved my '74 FJ-40 -- from Mexico to Canada, by way of the American West.
It was highly modified, with a Holley 4-barrel, mounted on an Offenhauser Dual-Port aluminum Intake Manifold, 6-into-1 Exhaust Header with Open Exhaust. 4-speed tranny, 2-speed transfer case, and a HONE Overdrive. 2.5 -inch Lift Kit, Rancho Gas Shocks, Roll Cage, Fiberglas Seats, Cloth Doors, Gun Rack, Flamethrower Headlights, AND a 1-piece fiberglass Front End (fenders, hood, grille).
12 x 15 x 32" Tires & a Positraction rear end.
Love those FJ40s.
Kinda weird how these Toyota's were people's cars, and now rich people just found them fascinating all of a sudden these are collector cars
any car of that age and rarity is going to fascinate those who want and afford them
besides, it's a safe investment, they're only gonna go up
Value of anything Is determined by who pays the price
It's just an investment. I can bet the buyers of these won't even drive it
They have stood the test of time proving strength and reliability
Damn!!! the FJ75 is a beauty! I would love to own that piece of trophy.
Had one fj in-line 6 was a beast.
I'm not a huge fan of Mr. Hoover but he is a total pro and one of the best additions to Barrett Jackson i've seen since i started following the event auctions. He is meant to be in front of the camera and knows cars, really works well.
Knows cars?
Hoovie!
وحش تايوتا حتى في امريكا فارض نفسه 🤩🔥
We have a 1979 land cruiser with wooden tray …saving for a rainy day. It’s completely original. I love it . We drive a later model 8 cylinder land cruiser . Don’t make ‘em like they used to
Incredible!
Wow that’s some crazy prices compared to Aus. I’ve got a 1982 Hj47 ute as my work car.
Her in Saudi Arabia TOYOTA lc 70 series and 40 series are available and super cheap. I have LC79 , 2010 . strong and reliable truck.( only for 13,000$}. LC 45 , 1984 ( 8000 $ ).
I'm more impressed with that auctioneer RPM
Gorgeous
Buautiful, congratulation
I love it! I've been in the Philippines for the last couple of years, it's crazy how cheap you can get all these trucks here. Maybe I should start shipping them to states for sale?
I have had similar thoughts. But only clean ones go for good prices and fixing old ones is a big hassle coz parts availability
@@umairjamil4831 there's a SUPER CLEAN fully restored FJ45 here I can purchase for 20k. I needs nothing, totally clean. That's what I'm talking about when I say they're cheap here bro.
@@sterlingarcher1962 thats not cheap. 20kUSD is what it may go for in usa. Or even less. Very hard to get your car into these auctions
A 2014 FJ at Barrett Jackson? Wow
My daily drive here on the farm is a white 1989 FJ62 with roof rack for large cargo. Just keeps on going, after 340 000Km.
Dude so my 1972 FJ40 that I am restoring is worth more then my Porsche GTS. Wow!!! I told people this and they could not believe it.
FJ55 1972 Land Cruiser ... That's what I want if I ever won the lottery:)!!
Pretty sure Toyota never put a Dana 60 in the rear
You are correct. They never put a dana 60 in a toyota. These announcers should educate themselves before making a comment.
Isn't that Hoovie from Hoovies garage?
I really like using Hoovie as a vehicle reporter. They should show him more. I was told that the snorkels on vehicles like the FJ75 were to minimize dust, not so you could drive in really deep water. Since they are used off-road and can be following other vehicles that kick up lots of dust. I would like to know the odometer readings of the vehicles, especially Toyotas.
They do both
More for deep water than minimizing dust though
That would be correct sir. Most of these vehicles with snorkels are not properly waterproofed everywhere else on the truck to make them truly submersible.
hard to chose but if I had to, I'd probably take the FJ62... grrr its tough... that Troopy though with a more modern engine 3.5 VVti.... aaahhhhhhh
The B engines were diesel and the F engines were fuel. This guy deserves an award. Diesel isn't a fuel it's a gatorade.
Here is a poor man in Pakistan who sell ice cream in FJ40 the firt one car😂
the FJ45 are awesome trucks
Great FJ one of kind.
On the fender of the Toyota Soarer isn't a turn signal indicator those are tiny parking lights.
Any one notice the guy that won the fj40 said woops im in trouble
That 89 soarer was a bargain, 20 years from now will be worth half million. They love the tractors in u.s
I could buy similar soarer with 16k right now here in Finland if I wanted junk, so someone paid 50 was a fool :D
www.nettiauto.com/en/toyota/soarer/11247948 There you go, its 10k € tax free. :D
10:00 best rapper
fire
你们的车很漂亮。
You should just let Hoovie do his own camera work
ALL FJ are Great, but that 89” SOARER with RETRACTABLE ROOF that took the Auction Show
Im now selling Land Cruiser to the USA. I will be a millionaire by the 8th car I sell.
Amazing with automatic transmision...
Hoovie is that you? You should have had top billing
1:49 “The B engines were diesel and the F engines were fuel”.
Diesel is also fuel.
most of this trucks used as jungle travel car, farm use or transport car for rural village in borneo. never know this toyota's worth so much.
I’m holding my jzx and century for retirement
88 +93 👌😍
Why wasn't the TOYOTA Supra from FF1/FF2 ON LIST. It sold for 550,000
This is a Toyota Top 10 from our Scottsdale 2021 auction
This needs a good dose of hoovie !
I own a 1st gen Toyota Tacoma
Late 2nd gen here 2012 trd sport spruce Green. Absolutely love it. Most durable trucks on the market
@10:26 auctioneer got bars
Those are some pretty expensive toys..............makes me wonder what my '87 hilux 4x4 pickup with a 2LT 2.4 litres turbo diesel engine would be worth?
Well in the states I see them go for $30k-40k
💰 💰
Not that much with the 2LT-E
80 grand for a fj cruiser … more money than brains
With 80k I woulda got a trx 🔥
@@Jeffgordonfan24hesthegoat that's actually worse
i almost bought one of these 1972 in America
You don’t need to go far corners. They are everywhere in the mountains of Indonesia.
and thats a far corner
@@luiscardozo0000 it’s not a far corner. Very accessible, good roads and big populations.
@@luiscardozo0000 lol .. I’ve been there it’s not really. A 4 hour drive from an international airport.
@@Abhitips224 is just in america or any country in south or north those parts of asia are consider like the most exotic and remote areas on the planet even its consider more remote than africa..... imagine malaisya indonesia micronesia even china ....if you want more remote go to mars
Before internet $2K for FJ40,after internet $250K
Barrett Jackson has helped a lot of people believe their half restored bondo buckets are worth waay more, muscle cars especially, I'd rather buy the resto mod with a newer injected motor, reliability, mileage, for 1/10 the price, couldnt afford a numbers matching 70 Satellite, if I could I'd buy a house and 3 resto mods
I wouldn’t let Tyler order a Toyota Prius for me;(
20:54 100.000, con eso te compras una lexus LX600
19:20 الله يالبى الشااص
its funny how those guys refer to them as "things", too much hate.
1:50 "the B engines were diesel and the F engine were fuel" 🤔🤔 Do you mean kerosene. Petrol = Gasoline@gas, Diesel = fuel? I'm confused.
Toyota "F" Series engines were all Petrol/Gasoline engines.
They stole the design from Jeep? What the Wtf is that? Land Rover says the same thing, Hell no ! I say the FJ Cruiser it is its Own Design. Looks nothing like the 2 .PERIOD! GET THAT STRAIGHT!
I own a 64 fj40 canvas doors an top ! whats it worth stock ?
Are those guys jealous or what?
Wait until it’s illegal to buy ICE and these will double in price compared to here.
Meanwhile in yemen. They sold fj45 below 10k
very sad that my dad sold my grandfather's FJ45 for only $3000 while it worth $100,000.
FJ 60 is a slightly shorter edition... FJ62 is slightly longer" Uhm. Nope. But you get a pass - your encyclopedic knowledge of cars is in the 98% correct accuracy range.
FJ60 and FJ62 both are same size, 62 isn't longer than 60. FJ60 is the earlier version of 1980s and FJ62 is the late version of 1980s.
4:20 Mostly one exist in Venezuela? Get your facts right please…
she is from Kelly Blue Book, what do you expect.. still cute
p When you have cash to burn in turn I guess they go for it
I could rebuilt the FJ45 less than 25k.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🇸🇦
تحسب انت الوحيد الي سعودي موجود بالتعليقات لا يا حبيبي نحن هنااااا ياصديقيي
These would've all sold for 6 figures in Hawaii 😂
Hard to understand.
Now these cars are going to be garaged to never be seen just so they can sell them to another collector to be garaged to never be seen so they can sell them to another collector and the cycle will just continue.
Australians be laughing.
بكم الشاص ياجن
الله يالبى الشااص
They are being sold roughly for a brand new Tesla car! Does it deserve it nowadays? Don't think so...
I would not compare the build quality of these with that of trash.
Why you gain when you buy Toyota
Harka
12:47 thank me later
this is what i hear>
dumdir dum dum dumdiredireederee dum dum direedireedum SOOOOLD for 50 tousand dallas
Individual transportation is a huge mistake
Jeep copied these from the Japanese
Rapper.....
lol fj40 looks like what Jeep copy for the Jeep Gladiator..
Insanity
IN effing SANITY. For the price of a run of the mill Toyota I could have a brand new F250 FWD
I'd take an FJ40 over an F250 any day of the week.
Depends whether you want screens and electronic garbage ready to fail in less than 10k miles or something that will last another 50 years.
One will depreciate, the other will increase in value.
I hate the guy who had the microphone his voice is so annoying and loud
Nooooo $80,000 for the ugly 2014 Toyota noooooo stupid how got that car
