New video shows woman's arrest on charges she killed her 4-year-old son

- Newly-released body camera videos show the early investigation into the disappearance of Ariel Garcia, the 4-year-old boy from Everett who prosecutors allege was killed by his mother Janet Garcia in March.
Janet Garcia is awaiting trial in Snohomish County where she's charged with murder for stabbing her son dozens of times and then leaving his body on the side of I-5, according to court filings. The murder happened within days of Janet Garcia's mother attempting to get custody of Ariel due to the family's concerns about Janet's behavior while under the influence of drugs.
Videos obtained by KOMO News through a public records request to the Clark County Sheriff's Office show Janet Garcia's arrest at an alcohol recovery center hours after Ariel was reported missing.

My 3 brothers and I were beaten, abused and neglected out entire childhoods. Our lives have been riddled with misery and addiction because of the abuse we endured at her hands. Sometimes I used to wish God would just let me die instead of continuing to go through the pain and suffering she put us through almost daily.
Just to clarify, he lived and was killed in Everett Washington and she drove about 36 miles and dumped his body on the side of the freeway over a fence in Lakewood. She then proceeded to drive 30 miles to Clark County and ditched her car at a local bar and walked to a nearby to a rehabilitation center to “get clean” and to have a alibi where she was.
