- I ran into some red hot Dime boxes at the Eastgate Mall show (February 2024). Loaded with some nice rookies, oddballs, food sets, Starting Lineups and more. #baseballcards #collect #thehobby
Tons of nice ones! Usually, the dime box I find have nothing but junk years in them. Vintage and numbered are no brainers! Nice Canseco!
I’ve been very lucky to find good Dime boxes at most of the shows I’ve gone to. And you’re dead on correct about vintage and numbered. Even if they don’t fit my collection, those are always popular for trades. Thanks for the comment!
My first cards were those from Baseball Card Magazine! Thanks, and a nice selection you bought.
Those cards are so cool. I would love to put the set of those together, but believe it or not, there are 88 cards in that set! I’ll work on it over time and see what comes. Thanks for the follow and joining in the conversation!
The Baseball Cards magazine your cards were cut from was likely produced by Krause Publications (Wisconsin) Loren Krause sold out after the card bust in the mid 90s and took over Successful Farming magazine. I still receive SF magazine although Krause retired 10 years ago.
@@randylochtefeld2806 I know some of them were. I have a Joey Meyers card that actually lists Krause as the maker of the card. I have never heard of Successful Farming magazine. But if they ever print cards for that publication I’d want to have those as well!
I'm 8 minutes in and amazed! You did excellent here finding some great deals!
Thanks man! Scott told me he had good boxes, and he wasn’t lying. Basketball/football/hockey/oddballs from the same boxes coming up in part 2.
@dimeboxdiscoveries You're welcome! No, he wasn't! I'll be looking forward to seeing part 2.
Really cool cards. Those food cards are fun to look at. Fun video. Take care..
Thank you very much! Happy to have you join in the conversation.
I gotta know how many random food stuff sets you have complete and how many Starting lineup cards you have! Lol. Great stuff as always! Excited for part 2 .
Most of my food sets that are completed, or near completed are in binders. That is a video that I plan on doing soon. I’ll have to check on how many Starting Lineup cards I have. Haha. The weird thing about the food sets, the more I complete, the more I learn exist that I didn’t even know about. I feel like Sisyphus pushing that boulder, except I enjoy it. Lol
A good example of there being more food sets than you realize… if you look up “Mother’s Cookies” sets on TCDB there are 163 of them, dating back to the 1950s. I had no clue there were that many, or they dated back that far. And do I want all 163 sets? Yes, yes I do. Lol
@@dimeboxdiscoveries😂😂😂 I wouldn’t expect anything less! Haha! And I love it!
@@macwaxxstacks And to answer your question… I have 46 Starting Lineup cards in one box, but I have a few more with certain collections, like McGwire, Larkin and Griffey. So more than 50.
😂😂😂 you found the 73 Pete
In folklore there is the princess and the pea. In real life you have Jeff and his ability to find one specific beaten up vintage card in thousands of dime box cards.
As always, I marvel at what you buy for a dime each. All but Giambi who is on the all steroid team.
The nice thing about dime and nickel cards… even if you buy something that doesn’t really fit your collection and no one wants to trade for, you’re only out some loose change. Haha
