My EPC light turned on along a blinking check engine light after entering the freeway. Acceleration was hesitant/sluggish and DTC codes were all over the place(p0106, p0010, p0300, p0301,p0303)
I replaced spark plugs and ignition coil packs(rubber boot broke off when pulling coils out)cleaned the VVT solenoid and replaced the MAP sensor and this fixed my particular issue. Hope this helps someone as I it did to me.

I've got a 2012 passat and my epc light came on. When that happened the car seemed to not have full power then I stop put in reverse the idle dropped the car stalled. I placed it in park the car started right up with no epc light and it went in reverse no problem. What would be the issue?

I had a similar issue with EPC which would come on after driving for a while and used an OBD2 which gave me a misfire on cylinder 4. I ended up replacing the ignition coil for cylinder 4 which fixed the issue. I have the issue back after a couple of months and suspect it could be another ignition coil issue but need to check everything again. Hope someone finds the info useful.

I have the exact same issue. I have not replaced the ignition coil yet and may hold off. What model and year vehicle is your VW? mine is a 2015 Golf TSI. My mechanic is telling me it is the turbocharger that is the culprit. I have been with him for years and he is always spot on with his diagnosis...any help on the subject would be appreciated!

-45c degree weather here in Canada.
Turned the car on and it sounded chocked (no air) probably due to low battery not giving juice to other components to start properly, this kind of cold affects everything electrical it’s crazy. So the car starts and barely stays on with low weak rpms. .5 1 to 1.5 rpm’s. Usually 1.5-2.5 rpm in that cold. The EPC light comes on. Traction control light came on as well.
Car was revving weird af. I thought the mechanical part maybe frozen not sure. Drove it a bit to give juice to the battery, reving and shifting was all over the place, went super light on the gas because you never know. Stopped, turned off the car after it warmed up a bit, and turned it back on, the lights went away and the car drove fine again. It did give me a good scare tho. In -45c car problems become catastrophic situations real quick lol.

2014 VW Jetta with 1.8 TSI engine. Mine comes on when I go either wide open throttle or longer acceleration at about 3/4 throttle. This seems like it would be related to the throttle body. What is the specific throttle body issue to look for? Mine comes on without the CEL coming on and resets when I shut off and restart the engine. While the EPC light is on, the car seems to be underpowered, like it's in a "limp" mode. I love this car and would like to be able to go full throttle without this damn light coming on!

My car is a polo vivo 2015 eclipse hatchback. EPC light came on and noticed that my brake lights no longer work however park light, indicator and reverse lights still work. So I've changed my bulbs and brake light switch (on the cylinder master head) as I do not have a foot pedal brake light switch. I'd like to think it's relating to my fuse or relay box however my car does not have a fusebox or relay diagram to diagnose which fuse, relay does what function. Please and advise accordingly.

My EPC light is on when I only turn the key half-way. That is also the case for the check-engine and the battery lights. As soon as I turn the key fully and start the engine, all three go out. Is that normal? I know it is normal for the check-engine and the battery lights, but is it also normal for the EPC?

Suddenly, the car began vibrating off and on, which would ceasr upon adding oil. Then, the EPC light came on and it stalled.

Had this same problem, got my car used from a dealership and a month later my oil light came on, then again, then again. Took it to a mechanic, got it fixed and was told that the engine was burning a ton of oil because the crankcase had gone bad, which is apparently common in VWs.

I am having a difficult time removing the foot pedal upper panel that must be removed to replace the brake pedal switch. 2017 VW Golf Sportwagen SE (mk7?)
I have removed the 3 screws visible from below on the panel, a screw for the center console side panel that overlaps the pedal panel, the Storage Compartment door that hides the fuse panel and the 3 screws in that area, 1 screw in the side panel of the dash near the driver side door, and still the panel is fixed firm as if there are more fasteners to remove.
I may have to remove the other center dash trims and cockpit panel which is also overlapping this frickin panel but it appears there are fasteners inside and under the headlamp switch dash board trim!
They ought to make the engineers who design these idiotic labor intensive moronic assembly points!!!
Can anyone shine some light on how to remove this piece of crap? I cannot find any take apart info on this panel. All the MK7 brake pedal replacement videos begin with the panel already removed, another derelict move for a part replacement video. I know they must have had the same issues trying to remove the panel, and perhaps they broke the panel and excluded that part!???
