When people marry they bring fears into the relationship. Fear causes us to hurt and react to our spouse. Whether it's a fear of rejection or failure, fear keeps us from intimacy in marriage.

Why if you’re honest and transparent about all this, and for 18years... nothing changes? At what point is it emotional and spiritual abuse? Bc it feels that way... but I do not want to play the victim. I really don’t.... I prob do sometimes... just being dismissed, has been an unrelenting tactic.

In what way would or should a person respond to spiritual and emotional abuse differently then physical or sexual abuse?

I suppose the four align the same. Jesus. Prayer and Fasting. Again...Jesus. HolySpirit will always guide us when we are repentant and desire to be more and more like Him. It’s simply sad to me when we as God fearing people can despise change to the point of abuse upon another. Change in Him, is exciting and beautiful... even if it hurts while getting the flesh under the blood.

@@openroadavid920 I may not be the right person to answer this, but I believe that humans are not on this earth to experience abuse, especially not from our closest loved ones. God gave us life to become increasingly self-aware and tolerant. He freed us from the burden of judgment, and taught us how to care for one another regardless of differences. If you cannot get along, do not allow anyone to remove the peaceful spirit that He has sowed into your heart. I have chosen to remain in solitude until I am met with someone that refuses any other option of relating except Godly love. If nothing else, God gave me the ability to decipher false love and accept that I am deserving of nothing less than what I can give. Only with a lot of practice and instruction, I can say with confidence, I have a lot to give.

Are you equally yoked? Both spiritually minded in Christ with a foundation of God in the marriage?

ABUSE ....the magic feminist word that is gradually replacing the Word of God through all kinds of devilish psychological teachings that keep us so far away from the Bible .
Abuse , abuse , abuse , abuse , abuse , love , love , love , love ... repeated like parrots by modern churchians who could not care less what God has to say about marriage because God's instructions are mocked and bashed.
Don't worry , we will reap the worst .
