  • ENDANGERED WALLABIES BOUNCE BACK
The endangered Brush-tailed rock-wallaby was one species deeply affected by the Australian bushfires. An estimated 80% of their habitat burned. The species, which was already at risk, suffered insurmountable damage to population numbers. Aussie Ark has been and remains committed to the recovery of wildlife in the wake of such devastating times.
Recent food drops have shown encouraging signs. Lush green has become the colour of the landscape, and once dusty pools now hold water. Aussie Ark staff were delighted to have spotted a female brush-tailed rock wallaby with a young joey on their most recent food drop, a true sign of hope.

I hand raised a Wallaby, sweet potato 🍠 was her thing and I’m so proud that she was released into the Wild were she was welcomed into a mob and became a mother. It’s important that people realise that our wildlife only need us in their time of need and there’s no greater joy than them living their best life in the wild.
    Thank You 😊
Australian Reptile Park you were always there when we lived in Gosford and come across wildlife in need ( over 40 years ago).
Keep up the fantastic work you’re doing 👍
