I'm picking up my zxr636 very soon and it has one these pipes, won't cutting it short burn or melt/blacken the light?? that's only thing I'm worried about

Great video! I was measuring mine and I dont see it possible to cut off 4 inches of the can, mine only has about 3 inches before the Yoshimura emblen would hit the strap. Are you sure it was 4 inches off or yours? I don't want to cut too much off and have the strap cover the emblem plate.
I cut it to 4". If u are not sure just cut it with your measures just make sure to do a clean cut so it makes the reassembly easier. I also went to the Yoshimura website for repacking www.yoshimura-rd.com/t-engine_services_mufflerRepack.aspx It will guide you through the process for the reassembly.

is that license plate in that area legal in most states? i want an undertail exhaust but i dont wanna get a ticket once a week for having an illegal license plate mount
so far, I've never been pulled over and ticketed on my M with the undertail exhaust mounted plate. You should check your state's laws in regards to modifications.

when you straight pipe, like you did and run the bike it can melt the taillight. or as long as you don't hit 7k rpm's.

OP, did you repack the material inside, or did you leave it as is? I would've liked to see the process after the cut i.e. drilling, riveting etc

U didn't leave the cat and db killer maybe. Take a racinf headers without cat and u'll see how much it will be loud with and without db killer

How are you going to attach rear indicators ? I have same exhaust and bike but can't find a tail tidy with indicators
