Drua's highlights are always so good to watch
Good on you F.D. you've shown the rugby world that you're no push over you can still score heaps of tries against the top teams
In my opinion tmo and ref's are clearly killing the game of rugby and this game is by far one of the best example
I agree. I switched it on at 60 odd minutes and there was about 10 minutes before I actually saw any play.
I don't understand how they can be so blind to the effect it has on the spectacle.
I agree the refs are too central in the game now not really letting it flow and constantly ready to blow the whistle for any excuse picking on crazy little things. . If it keeps going the game will fall in disrepute. I never watch full games any more only

Drua...in their second year of super rugby has improved so much...I think the combination of their natural open flair game and improved forward game is the key factor
Almost looks like the tmo had an agenda against the visitors.Iam stoked my team won but for the officials to rob the dura of their momentum everytime they had a bit of it rolling and having to review footage after footage despite the refs decision,really defeats the purpose of having introduce laws to speed up the game and minimise stoppages in my opinion.
True, I'm wondering why the ref didn't stick with his on-field decision after just confirming a try that would've given the Drua the lead.
Was hoping for a photo finish here on who gets to take it at the death or something like that.
In all honesty many passes are on the egde of being forward, rugby isn't a game of black and white anymore it's a game of who the ref is. Ref keeps standing put as the main memory
Brumbies should of gotten more cards they infringed over and over when the Drua had the ball on attack, very cynical. Probably should of been down to 12 men at one stage.

Totally true the decision made shouldn’t be changed after the ref whistle for try, just like when rebels played Fiji Drua and ref made the call try twice but CCTV saw it clearly without changing the decisions. Oh well can’t do much it was a good match for both teams.

I can see why the ref and TMO "inconsistencies" look questionable, no wonder the Drua seemed hard done by here in the final minutes.

A win for the Drua would disturb the balance. Drua were set up to lose. Winning there would have been an embarrassment to ACT rugby and Australian Rugby as a whole. There was no way they were going to let that happen. They didn't expect Drua to keep up. It's dirty officiating at its best.

This was one of those games that could have finished so differently, the Drua didn't have the rub of the green but they're getting to be a genuine threat

This is amazing to see a Fiji team, playing Fiji style rugby and entertaining crowds the matter where they go. They fought hard here, but Brumbies just too good in the end. Drua improving massively with each game😊

The TMO situation is pretty absurd. Much of the time they spend ignoring the game and neglecting to bring things to the referees attention, and then at others they simply DECREE DECISIONS, which referees simply obey WITHOUT SEEING IT FOR THEMSELVES. Wtf is this - the TMO cant be allowed to make decisions; they can only confirm or otherwise a specific detail the referee needs to know in order to make the decision. Though given that Damon Murphy is a constant nervous wreck of a referee who is incapable of making calls, presumably the TMO thought he was doing him a favour by stepping in.

Drua's disallowed try was initially acknowledged and allowed by the Ref.....and he didn't ask the TMO for their opinion in it.....

It was obvious that they are trying their best to keep Brumbies on top of the table. It was shocking officiating by the ref and the tmo. DRUA was hard done by the biased officials

Man, there's a lot of times PI team supporters are real competition for the "Blame it on the ref" schidtt from saffas but, they really got farked over by the officials tonight. Some of those forward passes from the Brumbies were absolute howlers and nothing said. Drua get close to the line and it's 10mins of video forensics.

Tough result for the Drua, looked like a real threat in the second half there. Brumbies are an efficient unit, should be real title contenders this year.
I doubt they will get away with infringing like that on defense vs a NZ team in NZ, would of been more yellow cards and if one of their players got a second thats a red. Just very cynical.

One thing I have seen is if drua make mistakes ,tmo will take entire time to review but if aussie or nz team make mistakes hardly review... one example is rebels knockon try against drua and brumbies high tackle on sau... looked to me yellow card and guaranteed yellow card if tackler was drua..

The TMO wil review every drua try...yet the brumbies had multiple forward passes leading to the second try..and never once did we hear the commentators nor the touch judge say anything...on marginal pass to eroni sau nd the ref calls them back.
Plus the TV replays for the brumbies never showed how the forward passes resulted in those tries

Playing 5 minutes of irrelevant footage to give the brumbies a rest while the Drua had all the momentum. Repeated penalties on the Brumbies tryline with no card. Playing clear head on head contact by Slipper while trying to prove a knock on and not even worrying about it. Giving a penalty for “crawling” without even showing the player crawling. Penalty try and yellow card for no.6 collapsing the maul, then immediately showing a replay of no.6 LITERALLY having nothing to do with collapsing the maul. I’ve seen some absolute shockers from a TMO in my time but holy dooley this game was right up there. Why the ref allowed him to continue interfering everytime the Drua got momentum, but saying nothing when the brumbies had momentum is inexcusable. I’m not Fijian but that was just disgusting to watch.

Need to get rid of the lineout maul out of the game it is so wrong. People in front of the ball is fundamentally offside and against the basis of the games rules and to structured, sport is way more enjoyable when it is open and not planned, we want to see running rugby.

To everyone blaming the ref. Get real. He is only human making human errors. Just like the drua players making errors sometimes. Thats rugby. The only difference is that the drua players have no control over the refs decisions, but they can control their own errors. This they will continue to learn and improve on. They are already 10 times better than they were last year. It's exciting to watch the Drua because they only get better. And even when they make so many mistakes they give these other NZ and Aus teams a scare with their playing style.

I don't know about the penalty try... they had momentum and may have got there eventually, they didn't need.the refs assistance. That was the turning point of a great game that could've gone.either way..
The Drua have made massive improvements this year which is huge for the game. Credit must be given to the coaching staff for the strides they made to the competitive contribution of the Drua in this competition. They've learned to travel well and they have a lot of support in Australia and New Zealand..
Why did the TMO Penalise the number 6? He wasn't wrong.. the maul was at the try line and he went back to the try line and pushed the ruck, it was the brumbies pack that folded. That's ridiculous.

Hey Super Rugby here’s an idea, just have games now without a Referee and use TMO only 🤷🏼♂️. Even in this case TMO hastily influenced two key decisions that were incorrect.
Drua conceeeds 6 penatlites at the brumbis 22 with no card or penalty try to the drua but the brumbies get one with one penalty... always a 16 men with this Aussie teams. Just cause they don't win against new zealand teams they feel this is the only way. Smh

To review a potential knock on or double movement when the drua scored to take the lead and what ..reviewing plays and breakdowns of previous (before the penalty) was really pathetic. In a Highlanders fan but Drua was robbed here

The tmo was tripping. Everytime Fiji gained momentum he'd review every thing to look for mistakes. The ref was doing alright. The tmo on the other hand was looking for anything to kill fijis momentum. In the past the tmos would only review plays at the request of the ref or when just showing a replay to television viewers. This mf reviewing every second of the game to try and look for every little mistake the drua had whereas the brumbies got away with alot of things that the tmo didn't bother to look at 😂. I'm surprised brumbies weren't punished for the vast amount of offsides they had. They were going offside every time Fiji were in their 20. I'm surprised the ref didn't put them in the sin bin for the amount of times they were offside. The ref was giving offside calls almost every minutes against brumbies when Fiji had the ball. Im surprised none of them were sin binned. The ref even missed some offside calls just because brumbies were doing it way too often that the ref himself couldn't keep up with it 😂

It will come, they are getting better and tbh, see the amount of players playing in different positions and also letting them gaining more experience.
