  • The project that i have been working on to use waste vegtable oil along with the furnace to melt aluminium which i recently upgraded from an old gas cylinder which ran on lpg, it worked well but was too costly as used bottled gas.
The shell is an old keg aquired from scrap yard, the burner runs on used filtered veg oil, compressed air of about 30psi and a venturi jet system as per last 2 video
The oil flow is controled by small ball valve, the jets are both 1 mm gas jets from old bbq.
The fitting that air hose is connected to is old S/S dairy couplings, oil is in approx 1ltr cylinder, the connection between it and burner is an adjustable brass rod with locking nuts once the correct position is determined
It uses approx 1 ltr per hr, unsure of the tempreture as yet but i am looking into getting a pyrometer

Wow this is by far the simplest burner I've seen on this site. How do you start your burner up and when you started it does it continously burn without reigniting it?

lp will run alot hotter when run right, but for aluminium and brass, oil will do the job
