    Wow. I'm SO glad you had the wits to post this video. I've always had controller envy with the Panorama stuff, but was thinking it was pretty useless for logic... Which I'm married to. But seeing this in action, even thought it's not yet "fully" integrated - it is by far robust enough to do the trick and do it well. And NO AUTOMAP!!
    Thanks again to SonicState and Tim!!
    Love it,
    Joey B.

    The Panorama P6 integration with Logic X is really great! And no plugin duplicates, like with Novation Automap. So far, I'm a big fan.

      Whentherushcomes Does the fader/read write lights work in Logic? I know they work in Cubase just fine.

      Jon Ong Not in teh current release, but they will soon! We have an update coming soon and you can set Logic's automation mode for the selected track using the 'Fader' button. Read and write LEDs indicate the status.

      +Tim Chandler awesome you guys rock for making a budget entry level keyboard that still has great mapping! I'm looking at the impact lx49/61 has the logic inegriation come any farther since the release of this video? Can you add and edit automations in logic with this controller? Switch between plug-ins/patches or pull up a new plug in from the controller? And you can undo/copy/paste from the transport is that correct sorry for such a long question. Great job again and thank you for keeping us lower class folks in mind very appreciative

      +Damian Ketchersid Thanks for the kind comments! The LX49/61 integration remains as shown in this video. If you start to make a controller without a display too feature-rich, it can become cumbersome to use. LX does a fine job of providing basic integration (basic in Nektar terms - it's still more integrated than most other controllers!) to complement the mouse/QWERTY and boost workflow.

      I absolutely agree looks great I can't wait to get my hands on one I've compared this to novation impulse and m audio axiom air and this seems to be the one for me and not just because I cant afford the first two, because the panorama seems far superior and would be my number one choice. I love the simplicity and the affordability thanks again! I hope to see the company continue with its products/support and growth!

    I tried using Automap with the remoteSL and remoteSLMKII and always found it a real fight with logic. This seems really solid though, might have to check it out. Nice presentation too.

    Hi there, I got a question on the Panorama P1!
    Lets say I have both P1 and "ANY" MIDI keyboard hooked up to Logic X and an instance of Alchemy on a MIDI channel.
    Can I play the keys on "ANY" MIDI keyboard(m-audio, novation, nectar impact GX, etc) while tweaking knobs, faders and browsing the VST's sounds/patches?

  • @The_Doc_Rocks

    Any chance of integrated control of Omnisphere v2.1? There are a bazillion parameters in Omnisphere, but I'm sure you could do 4 or 5 pages of the most commonly used ones.
    Currently, I have a Novation SL61-MkII, but I can't even get the Mod Wheel working in Omnisphere.
    Others that would be a huge plus would be Native Instruments Kontakt (and Absynth, Reaktor, Massive, etc), XFer serum, and the Rob Papen synths (Blade2, Predator).
    Don't want much, do I? ;) But those would really put a P6 on my buying list.

    Hello, Can you program a synth of logic pro x virtual instruments on the keyboard itself and program one of the drum machines or trigger a loop on the pads to play the synth and a loop in the same time? thank you

  • @laeger
    @laeger Před 10 lety

    I'm having trouble getting the pads to work within logic pro x. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I've had no luck getting the p4 to "learn", for instance, a drum sound within a selected track. Any help?

    I just purchased NI's komplete S keyboard. After some work I do have it working well. BUT, I do not have native control of smart knobs or logics instruments. If it is possible to at least control the komplete kontrol plugin, I will gladly take it back for a nektar keyboard. If not are there any plans to incorporate plugin control for native instrument plugins?

    • @tim.chandler
      @tim.chandler Před 9 lety +3

      ***** Nektar sees what Logic sees and maps to any AU plugin so yes you can control Komplete's parameters through Logic using Panorama. Having said that you might be better off controlling your NI instruments directly rather than having to load Komplete on every track.
      We are also close to releasing an update which has Logic's arpeggiator and stock instruments mapped out Nektar-style too. Since we map everything through Logic, we can do this. These plugin-host/wrapper solutions can't see Logic's stock instruments.

    obviously it takes time to write these protocols but are there any plans for ableton integration anywhere on the timeline? if not, will it function like a normal midi keyboard with learn functions? what would the screen be used for if i just plugged into ableton now without a nektar protocol?

    • @tim.chandler
      @tim.chandler Před 9 lety +1

      You're right it take a huge amount of time to write integration to this level! You have to consider it is essentially a whole new product development cycle for each DAW.
      Ableton integration we would like to do of course, but Ableton does not license a scripting API to developers. So we have no direct path into Ableton Live as we do with other DAWs we support. We are exploring alternative approaches to improve the user experience with Ableton, but I can say no more than that. As (if) we make improvements, these will be issued as free product updates to our customers who use Panorama with Ableton as we do with all of our DAW integration.
      In the mean time, yes the Panorama works as a standard MIDI controller with 93 QWERTY and MIDI mappable real-time controls for learn functions.

    • @tim.chandler
      @tim.chandler Před 9 lety +2

      +Zaki El Horan FL Studio is supported Imagine wrote some integration themselves. It's not quite to the same level as the deep integration with other DAWs but still more advanced than other controllers with FL Studio.
      Ableton and Pro Tools we only have basic presets for at the moment.

      Charles Shamwell Yes, we are planning to make MainStage integration available in public Beta next month. It's not the same as Logic's integration, since for MainStage it's important to focus on Live performance.

      +TheMixMasterFoodTV Unfortunately Avid don't provide an API, or other form of software integration tool for 3rd party developers. So there is work required on Avid's part before Nektar can integrate the Panorama into Pro Tools to the level our customers expect.

    bought this keyboard 2 days ago. Set up proper controls for 3rd party plugins yesterday as the stock ones are awful. Today, nothing works at all and I've tried all the troubleshooting they suggest.
    My CPU is even spiking when i play with the keys.
    I highly recommend not buying this, unless you want to buy mine of course!

    • @neotropeusa
      @neotropeusa Před 7 lety +2

      Well, mine works perfectly with Logic X, and the keyboard has nothing to do with CPU spikes as it's only a MIDI controller and includes no plugins or anything that impacts your CPU. A friend of mine just this week got a P1 and zero issues with Logic X and El Capitan. Probably good to see how Logic X works before trying to use this controller.

    The UI on this thing is pure ugly. And you'd think in this day and age I'd expect a slightly larger screen with much higher resolution.
