Always good to watch one of your reviews, even if I have no use for the device being showcased.
I appreciate that!
I just got the newer version of this capture card for only $57 USD!!!! It is a beast. The best feature by far on it is the 240hz 1080p pass through. Every other capture card with 240hz pass through is at least $180 USD. I also think the video quality is pretty good. And of course there’s also 4k 60hz pass through. The only thing I dislike is the RGB. I wish I could either turn it off or set it to one color.
Ik this is old but how well is it when you try to stream and you have your headset plugged up. I got an nzxt and had to frankenstein this thing just to get audio into my headset to be picked up by the streama nd the mic had to get a cable with a mic built in.
How did you set up audio ?
I know this video is old but can I capture game chat audio I want to start with a budget capture card because I'm new to streaming
If the game chat comes through the main audio channels (the TV speakers) then yes, it should work.
Good to have options
Nice info, such a shame YT compression kills 60fps video when uploaded or streamed :/
It kind of depends. Sometimes it's okay while other times it looks bad.
@@RetroCoreYes, fast moving 3D and bullet hell's I find are most badly affected ✌️
For sure. I found uploading in 4K helps as CZcams will use a different compression rate but that means larger files that need uploading.
Lot of mpeg compression artifacts visible, especially around the hud text in daytona. You might be able to change the format to get it sharper? My super cheap chinese one has the same artifacts, you can change it to another format and it looks amazing but drops to about 5 frames per second.
That is not the capture but the CZcams compression. The raw files are perfect.
Which controller were you using? Just curious.
It's a Brook Vivid controller. I did a review of it a few months back czcams.com/video/pB7IstuPNA4/video.html
does 1440p 120hz work too ?
I'm afarid not.
@@RetroCore that's too bad. I'm making 1440p videos (Look at my channel). I need a recording device for 120fps 1440p. Thanks anyway
Capture cards are as good as the software interpreting the signals.
