I am currently reading Pachinko and I absolutely am in love with the writing. Itâs impeccable. Iâm only half way through and i can already see the character development.
Song of Achilles. A favorite of mine. It contains all elements of Achilles and Troy; with all the assorted characters of this epic conflict, from beginning to end. Both men, women and all scales of orientation will love this fast moving and beautifully written prose. The POV narrative is given by Patrocholis, Achilles only "friend". Money back guarantee. LoL. Trust this recommendation.đ
Great list! Although Iâm not quite sure how Crawdads and little fires qualify as historical fiction. I can highly recommend The Island of Sea Women, The Valley of Amazement, The Miniaturist, All the light we cannot see, The Book of Longings, A Gentleman in Moscow, Island beneath the Sea, omg so many!!
I live your list. I always have hated reading but picked it up during difficult times in my life and now love reading for the first time. My first book was Where the Crawdads Sing and it really got me started on this journey.
I am so glad to hear that youâve started a new reading journey, and that you enjoyed getting started with Where The Crawdads Sing! Good luck with your next reads, and I hope this list of recommendations has helped!
I have Where the Crawdads Sing on my TBR book shelf I can't wait to read it. I just finished The Four Winds and The Last Green Valley, they were both historical fiction and both very good. Thanks for your reviews!
Great recommendations! I would add *Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo* , *Invisible Life of Addie LaRue* , & *The Nightingale* which where 3 of my favorite reads this year (along with *Where the Crawdads Sing* & *Little Fires Everywhere* )
We Appy Few is a great novel. Its the story of a hundred year old man who recounts his time at the battle of Agincourt to a young Henry 8th. Its funny, touching, and questions the nature of history and truth.
The Voyage (Victor Caputo) All the Light we cannot See, Paris in the Present Tense, The dressmakers Gift: All great Suggestion: Hold the books still when you show them! Thanks Nice job!
Such good recommendations! I really need to look into Circe. I'm only a historical fiction fan on occasion. I thoroughly enjoy them but they tend to be heavier and stick with me emotionally lol. I enjoyed Wolf of the Plains which is about Genghis Khan and the Bronze horseman trilogy set in Russia during the second world war (I think. Its been a decade) Side unrelated note, your hair is gorgeous!!!!!!
Thank you so much! Yes, definitely check out Circe, itâs beautiful! Hahaha, I agree - they definitely do stick. Also, Iâve been meaning to read the Bronze Horseman for so long! (And thank you for the compliment haha!)
Thank you! I'm going to read these during my summer holidays after next week. I haven't read during this year of school because it was an exam year, but I'm so excited now after these recommendations. Thank you soo much!
Hi! I'd like to recommend THE MOUNTAINS SING by Nguyá» n Phan Quáșż Mai. It's about the struggles of a family during the Vietnam War. I just finished it and I highly recommended it to everyone who likes historical fiction. Please read it and let us know what you think!
Thank you gonna read some of these :) Also must read is Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers. They are so good! Especially the first 2. I've read them 2x. They do have a religious element but they are so well-written and really throws you into time period
I would recommend book 1 Ropewalk; Rebellion. Love. Survival in the Ropewalk series, a gritty social romance based in northern England 1831 and the social conflict.
Hey! Great recommendations and I love your videos. I was just wondering if you have any criminal book recommendations for YA/Teens? Iâm trying to build a booklist with various genres. And I donât know where to get started. Youâre amazing, Thank you đ
Hello! Thank you so much, Iâm glad you found the video useful!! Iâd recommend you check out the Truly Devious series by Maureen Johnson, A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallard, One of Us is Lying by Karen McManus and We Were Liars by E Lockhart! I definitely prefer criminal/mystery/heist YA books that also have some element of fantasy, so Iâd also recommend the Six of Crows duology by Leigh Bardugo, The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert and The Diviners by Libra Bray! Hope these recs help - happy reading! đ„°
Sinuhe egyptian is one of my favorite historical fiction about great ancient Egypt. A thousand splendid sun by Khalid Hoseini is alo so amazing book about almost 1960s to 2000 on Afghanistan war and ladies life in Afghanistan.
Thanks. A small suggestion. Your waving the book in front of camera does no good. Hold it in such a way so that we can clearly see the title and the author. Or show those details as sub text or sub title.

Wow I am so glad someone mentioned Khaled Hoseini. My favorite author and A Thousand Splendid Suns simply cannot be beat. Itâs unforgettable.
I loved Pachinko as well!
One of my all time favourites!
My only recommendation is to have the title and author on your screen while speaking about the book.
I also want to recommend LILI DE JONG by Janet Benton
Subscribed immediately!
