I normally don't comment on people I don't know but I am so impressed by how Gypsy speaks and handles herself considering all of the trauma she went through. She still has life and seems like such a sweet and kind person. I am so happy for her. We all can be redeemed in Jesus Christ. Let her have a new chance at life. She did her time as sentenced by the court of law and don't be fooled, she will have to deal with what she did and what she went through for the rest of her life. A struggle no one can understand. She was abused as an innocent child by her mother whom she of course trusted. Although it is horrible her mom was murdered and the whole situation is terrible and shouldn't have happened, you have to empathize with Gypsy with the fact that she was pushed way past over the edge to insanity because of how terrible her mom made her life and her health. She lived in an evil home where her mom was sick and her enemy. Life is not black and white, it's complicated and there are many things to consider in every situation. We must have empathy and compassion for others and wish the best for them, the life God intends for them. Of course Gypsy is wrong for what she did, and she acknowledges this, but who are you or anyone to condemn someone forever? God wants us to be renewed and transformed and be better. He wants us to confront issues within us, be aware, and move forward trying to put our best foot in front of the other. If we truly repent and change it is possible. The entire situation is a tragedy and loss of souls and this wasn't the way God meant for any of their lives to go. No one is making anyone a celebrity but simply commentating on the situation for which I can go on and on. I see sincerity in Gypsy and I don't say that lightly since I don't know her. But it isn't her fault that her story was highly publicized start to finish and shows made about her, then millions of followers on her accounts, she didn't ask for it. She is simply using the platform given to her to do good and raise awareness from which we can all learn from. She is starting life over and experiencing things very differently. I believe everyone has free will of choice and unfortunately evil took her over when she made that decision. Life is about choices. Only God knows the truth of her intentions, actions, thoughts, etc and ultimately only he can judge her. I don't know enough about her ex to talk about him. I think he is a danger to society. I don't think he deserves life without possibilty without parole, I think he should go to a mental institution for a very long time though. 30+ years probably.

She's hadn't had a medical procedure for 7 years at the time of the crime.
For one, there is little paper trail to even prove she had some of these procedures done. Some were proven to actually be needed. She is a proven liar, from word one out of her mouth. Not saying she did not endure abuse, but if they lie about some have to question all.
Also, the dr she was seeing in Nola is the same one she saw in Missouri and ALot of the “procedures” and diagnosis were never done. It was all for Medicaid fraud. She has a chromosome disorder and is a sociopath maybe even psychopathic.

Don't get me wrong. What happened to hear was horrific and no child/anyone should ever have to be subjected to that kind of abuse. She admitted her part in her mothers murder and served her time. She has every right to live a fulfilling life with her husband and be happy. The parole board obviously found her fit and safe for society. However, we are treating her release like a celebrity parade and glorifying murder. It's weird. Like I said, I'm happy she's been released and can move on with her life and start new, but the media is treating this like a red carpet event and they are clearly loving the flashing lights and cameras.

Everyone failed this girl. EVERYONE! Including the "justice system." She didn't deserve one day of incarceration for stopping the years of torture that her mom perpetrated on her. The fact that parts of society can recognize this and have welcomed her back in as a functioning adult should be celebrated. She has overcome things that most of us will never know. It's not glorifying murder but celebrating the human spirit. Her mom didn't break her - she's thriving!! As a mental health clinician, I am very interested in her story and how it can help me help others.

I assume after being in there for so long and considering her situation and what she went through she also has no chance of getting involved with anything like that again i honestly think she deserves therapy and to do what truly makes her happy she seems under lots of stress just from getting out alone. When my daughter got married, everyone wanted to know how I felt about being a mother in law (mine was a horrible horrible mil) I simply said I've been given 2 examples of what a mother in Law should and shouldn't be. I hope to live up to my mother's example because she's everything I hope to be in a mil. So many people just thought about my mil... so Gypsies step mother sounds like an awesome example of what a mother should be. I'm glad she's been given this example.

I do know personally seizure meds can be linked to cleft pallets in infants. However, when a person plans ahead, they go off the seizure meds and are off of them 2 year's they can have a baby without cleft pallet. (I know this from experience). That being said, being off of the medications DeeDee had her on for 4 years, I would think its safe. I'm positive her gynecologist will study and give her and her husband an informed opinion.

I think all these doctors should be charged with potential murder and or malpractice for believing a woman who was abusing her child because of her own mental illness. What kind of doctors are these? Not one doctor questioned anything about her mother? About the moving doctors and the losing the medical records … especially when a lot of things are transferred electronically now? All these doctors that performed her surgeries? How could you allow yourself to now see her story and not feel sick that you broke your code of ethics that you played a part in her abuse? It’s so beyond sick … I can’t even. This really makes you question the healthcare system in America.
Id like to know where are all these idiot doctors are who did unnecessary surgeries on her. They shoud be charged and have their licenses revoked. They need to be investigated.

For someone who never went to school, Had normal friends or normal social interactions, or even knew how to act older than a 9 year old… she sounds so freaking professional, poise, and authentically and socially aware. That is what I feel like she’s getting the praise for. As she should. She’s a survivor. She should be a role model of how to turn your life around once you’ve been incarcerated. So many people get into the system and end up back as soon as they get out. If more people took the time to reflect and learn from their past our society would be a better place

I know the younger gypsy ,they lived in our nieghborhood, i mowed thier yr and always told dee dee to save the lawn money for gypsy ,gypsy may remember me i fairly sure she does ,i had alittle Boy named tyler that used to watch movies with gypsy when dee dee had movie night outside they would show movies on the side of thier house i beleive movie night were friday or sat i forget, i used to speak to gypsy while she was getting thier mail, when the murder happen the sheriffs crime van was outside the house for i beleive 3 or days with a huge spotlight ,i remember that night well morning because my wife had to take me to the hospital for my fusion surgeries on my back that was something that will always be in my mind ,gypsy has grown up in so many ways that i can see ,i cant believe dee dee did all those things to gypsy its hard to grasp but life goes on , im glad gypsy is doing well and we wish her nothing but the best life she can have ,dee dee took alot from gypsy for that she was wrong im gypsy is sorry for what happened i know she was scared and felt there was probably no other way, i wish she would have something but what is done is done there is no going back in time to fix it ,gypsy has been through enough its time for her to live the live the life she should have had to begin with , stay strong gypsy and i hope your life turns out great for you and family, dont worry about the haters worry about you and what makes you happy ,

Gypsy, just because you didn't commit the act does not in any way mean you were not a part of it. Telling someone to murder your mom is just as bad as doing it yourself. Sorry not sorry, but i will not jump in this herd of sheep that cheer her on because "she had no other choice!". There's a list of things she could've done instead of stabbing and nearly decapitating her mom. But hey, whatever helps her sleep at night. I pray for her peace outside of prison. Although I do think she should be in a rehabilitation facility of some sort after all the abuse AND for the murder. This just is so bizarre to me to see all these people fan girling her. If ANYTHING, leave her alone. Let her be.

@@sabk1545 she has absolutely 💯 been through shit and is a victim of her mother's abuse. She's still a murderer though! They're all victims in this case of each other. Gypsy Rose shouldn't have gone to prison in the first place, but rehabilitation was the perfect place for her to spend the ENTIRE ten year sentence she was first given. Releasing her after only 8 years is hardly a slap on the wrist and then releasing her into a world of people validating her already fragile mind is absolutely insane.

Prison obviously saved her life. She shouldn't have done what she did. There is no justification. However, she is human and she had to save herself. She would be so much worse today if her monster mom was still alive. I'm personally proud of her.

With her newfound fame, I hope nobody ever pressures her to get cosmetic procedures in any way, shape, or form. She is naturally very beautiful, and it’s clear Hollywood and all of these influencers taking interest in her are pretty shallow people, so hopefully none of that ever rubs off on her because I love how natural her beauty already is. Too many faces look the same nowadays, especially within influencer and celebrity culture.

Plus if she tried to escape again, the police could find her and just take her back to her mother. Seriously what on earth did you expect her to do? what do you expect from abuse victims who are trapped in an abusive relationship? to just let themselves be abused, or worse, killed? had she not done anything she would have been dead from all of the procedures and medications her mum put her through. You seem like someone who'd villainise a wife for killing her extremely abusive husband. What a sick sick ending statement, yes many people do endure torture and abuse for decades and don't go on killing them, but guess what? they also suffer permanent damage to their mental and physical health and many of them end up dying. stop using other peoples experiences to villainise a victim, gypsy's case was very unique and nobody should have any say on how she should have saved herself considering you have no idea what you would do if you were in her position. the only way you accept abuse victims is if they endure the abuse for decades because its wrong to kill someone, is what youre saying? That the act of killing someone whos an abuser is somehow worse than the act of abusing your innocent child? What she did should be classed as self defence considering she had exhausted all her options. every victim of abuse is different and they all have different ways of coping, its disgusting to compare one victim to another based on your set of rules on how to be a perfect victim. youre disgusting
