Vložit
- čas přidán 2. 03. 2017
- Railfanning all across the Southern Arizona Union Pacific Transcon route between the Gila Subdivision and the Lordsburg Subdivision. Also a couple trains on the Phoenix Subdivision of course! Lots of great action including my 1st ever CP leader, lots of NS power, CSX, KCS, KCSM, Ferromex, BNSF and a Union Pacific Executive Business Car Special! Also many great unexpected surprises throughout! Enjoy!

Amazing shots!
Nice to see twin-stack cars in service on UP.
Love the SP searchlights and tricolors! Up here in northern Nevada, they were replaced sometime in 2014 sadly.
Absolutely stunning images.
Essas locomotivas são maravilhosas, parabéns... Excelente vídeo!
The Amtrak at a crawl....stupendous!
Great video
Thank you so much for posting your vids n CZcams . Love that one train at 28 mins. in just loaded with graffiti I have no idea how someone has the time to almost paint the whole side of a car and there were 2 of them on that train.with so so many cars graffiti ridden it was really an interesting train. Now back to try and finish 2 more hours.
Excellent video, great locations and catches.
Just forget my posting, please. I didn't notice that there was another tab with the music. So I heard both at the same time. My fault - I'm sorry for that. So: the video isn't only excellent, it is really perfect and it's a pleasure watching it
Great catches. I love all the foreign power. I went through a lot of popcorn on this one. Great ending. Excellent video.
iusetano Thanks man! And yeah the beginning of the year is always a great time! Too bad it's already dying down. Im glad you enjoyed!
Very amazing and cool video, keep it up!
Why would 516 people dislike the video, the video is actually cool.
PHX, you do a great job! Sharp resolution and beautiful country. I especially like the shots away from grade crossings; no crossing gate bells or train whistles, just the throbbing of the engines under load. Thanks for taking the time to walk a bit. Not everyone does.
Thanks man! Yeah some of the best spots you have to hike to so I definitely agree! Im glad you enjoyed! :)
I just moved to Georgia from California, we had mainly UP there!
It depends on what city of California you’re in.
Great views! ✔
I noticed the long train in the background..good stuff
Great video bro! Awesome catches
AMN Railway thanks man!
You have some great locations there. Nice video!
Yard Limit thanks! I love Arizona!
I wish I could go to Arizona, they have lots of cool mountains.
That first train... they are so odd, how they carry rails that bend as it goes around bends and then straighten... very clever.
Always great vids man. You seem to have such great luck!!!
Bill Palmer thanks! And not really lol. I actually have pretty bad luck lol.
Great video!
RailBrothers thanks!
Nice collection of videos! I subscribed.
Chase a Train . . . Indiana thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed!
Was ein schönes Video toll gemacht. Your the best Video by train super bilder Dankeschön 🥇⭐
Great catches, I am wondering if NS will be under Union Pacific someday. Lots of NS power. Great video.
upsd402 thanks man! And probably not because it would be a monopoly. They sure do look good together though! And BNSF is now doing more business with KCS as well which is nice to see!

upsd402 thanks!
Nice KCS Sd70MAC catch
Nice collection of videos! I subscribed.
Greetings from Poland!
Arejon thanks man! Greetings from Arizona!
I saw that up work train in Texas but without the Mexico locomotive
Excellent work. The grain? Train @1:00:00 working up that grade was most impressive. I love seeing heavy trains crawl up hills like that. What a display of power!
luved it
Lots of brand new welded rail!
A big thank you for all the videos are great, always look forward to other..something like that here in Europe is not to be seen.: _) _)
What is the purpose of the Executive Business Car Special? Is it a revenue producing transportation train?
What video editor do you use
Love you work. Great angles and use of long lenses. Curious what you shoot with.
Hello, Nice videos. Was wondering at some spot you shot at. Tully, and Through the Cut at Fenner. How were road conditions? I know not paved but were they good to drive on? Thinking of possibly visiting the line sometime in the future. Thanks.
Nice videos!!!!! What camera you have?
Awesome video greetings :)
Why was the AMTK crawling ?
Number one . I like
Phoenix huh? Maybe you can solve a mystery for me. I live in Gilbert and if you've been here, you know the town is diagonally divided in half by UP tracks. I have to drive on Val Vista south of Warner road to go back and forth from and to my house, quite often. I've been stopped at the RR crossing a million times as freight trains barrel by, at times Amtrak passes through. But that's impossible because Amtrak has no routes that go into the Phoenix area. Maricopa and Flagstaff yes, but Phoenix No. What am I seeing then if Amtrak supposedly runs no trains on this set of tracks. The train when I've seen it passes the crossing anytime from Midnight to 2:30am. Every night a train freight or Amtrak, I don't know, but I can hear it since my house is closeby. Do you have any idea what Amtrak train might be passing through? And why it's on theses tracks rather than those in Maricopa.
Bobby Paluga there is no Amtrak train on the Phoenix Subdivison. You're probably hearing the MTUPX or MPXTU which are the nightly manifests.
Great video! Just wondering, what type of camera are you using?
Why nobody is talking about NS 4001?
FIRE
What camera do you use to film videos?
Killer railfanning! Now I'll have something to watch when I'm stuck in an assembly at school. How long did it take to get these videos. Btw, this awards you another subscriber.
Railfan Brony thanks! And this was put together throughout the beginning of the year.
Never mind that! It's still amazing. When is your next video? No rush. I just love these videos! We rail enthusiasts don't have this treatment in Las Vegas. I'm just getting started in Lexington. My camera broke so I'm down right now but it's at Panasonic and should be back soon.

Is there a way you keep track of the business special or were you just shocked to death when you saw it?
GMTX 2613 we knew it was coming. It was super hard to chase though because it had the CEO of UP and NS on board supposedly...trains were put in sidings 50+ miles in advance lol
PHX Sub Railfanner is there a schedule for it online? Norfolk Southern has a business special and I would love to chase it someday. Btw, why was the NS CEO on board? I don't think Norfolk Southern goes there regularly.
GMTX 2613 message me on Instagram. My name is the same basically
IG: phx_sub_railfanner
how come the passenger train has moving slow ?
It was in a work zone. Thats also why it was doing short blows on the horn frequently.
Nice shots. However there is too much wind noise to make some of them watchable.
What camera do you use
PHX SR, been watching your great videos for a while now. It's really nice to see the wide open desert scenes, blue skies, valleys and mountains in the background. While we're freezing our asses off here in Canada, here you are working on your sun tan throughout the winter. Say, when you're working on your various vid locations, have you ever thought of displaying a large banner behind you like 'Check out: My: PHX Sub Railfanner videos on CZcams' so these engineers etc. can watch your stuff? Take care!
tmr626 haha no I have not thought about a Banner, but I do know some of the employees that work out here lol. But thanks im glad you enjoy my videos! I will try to provide as much videos as I can!
PHX SR, just wondering, since you know the some of the employees, would you ever be able to get permission from BNSF to take a trip with an engine crew? You could get some great cab ride vids, or, even better, doing some camera work outside along the railing behind the engineer with the sounds of the roaring engines. That would be nice, wouldn't it?
tmr626 yeah that'll never happen lol...
tmr626 ...I wish...
What does that mean when CSX leads a train along with UP helpers?
Wow I'm impressed! Great video! 7 mins in and I subscribed. Nice work!
You know what? IM SUBSCRIBING TODAY :D
Hello,
Superb video!
Where is the location at 1:44:00, 2:04:00 and 2:20:09?
++
Nice videos! I like the UP better than BNSF
I'm from the E Coast. I'm a Norfolk Southern type.

Love the videos. But my main complaint with almost all these rail fanning videos on You tube is the wind noise in the background. Very annoying because its so easy to eliminate without destroying the sound of the trains that we love to hear. Look into it please.
Tell me how easy it is as I took my camera to a camera store and they said there were no attachments to be had to cover the mic. as it was just 2 very small holes near the lens. stem. I looked into buying a new camera with some of the bells and whistles to record sound and not the wind but not wanting to pay some $1400. for a camera. or $400 for a cheaper one and $200 + for a foam mic. I guess I could try a bandaide over the mic where the padding would cover it.
Well you have a camera that records 1080P videos but doesn't have a external mic jack? Strange. Not much you can do then. Look for camera that has a external mic jack then get a mic and a small device that covers the mic. They look like a ball of fuzz. Pretty cheap. You shouldn't have to spend a lot for a camera with a external mic port, pretty common today. Try another camera store or do a search online.
The wind is disturbing the sound. impossible to hear engines

8:37 from very far distance i see a Autorack Freight train.
Where were you filming at 14:00 in the video?
Great videos, I've tried to watch all of them. What editing software do you use? Thanks
DDA40Xman thanks! And I use Adobe Premier Pro CS6
that's the sunset limited right?
tylerteahue yes it is
okay thank you, ive been trying to find some shots of this trip. thank you
May I ask what movie maker you use?
GMTX 2613 Adobe Premier Pro
PHX Sub Railfanner oh. That's what I'm planning to use. I'm tired of iMovie. It doesn't look good with train videos. Btw, when is your next video? I imagine you're going around shooting them right now for your record-breaking railfan videos.
GMTX 2613 should be in a few weeks. I'll put the absence explanation up in the video but basically my computer died on me. I'm getting a new on in about 2 weeks though. I am extremely behind on videos lol.
PHX Sub Railfanner it's all good man.
the track the 1st one is on is a side track
The video is excellent but I would prefer lisening to the diesel engines instead of "light music". In that case the video would be perfect!
I’m new
💛💛💛💛💛
the beginning of the video, at first I thought the red hopper was a caboose

CASK CARS at 1:18:45 .... 😱😲😳
So schön es sich auch anschauen lässt, so doll nervt auch das Windgeräusch. Es gibt wunderbare Sachen die das zu 95% unterdrücken für unter 5€. Warum also nicht? Ich musste das schaun abbrechen, das strenkt an das weiter zu schaun. Es gibt bessere Railfanning Videos die ohne Windgeräusche sind!!!!! Gibt aber trotzdem einen Daumen nach oben!
