Pickle Rick Grimes Curtis never had real beef with Oliver and the crew
Can we all just say bravo to Paul Blackthorne. If you had asked me 6 years ago what one of my favorite relationships on this show was, Quentin and Oliver's would have been nowhere in sight. But only through out this season did I realize what a great father Lance was to Oliver and how those two have grown together more than any other characters through out this show's run. When everyone else abandoned him this year he stood by his side. Say what you will about the wedding episode but when Lance gave Ollie a watch he had been planning to give to his future son-in-law one day I was truly moved. He was a father all the way to the end.

Can't believe Quentin is dead. Rewatching it I realize his death was similar to Laurels. Both died of gut wounds and Oliver was the last person they both talked to. Poor Sara though. The Irony that she was the first Lance to die and now is the last Lance alive (from Earth 1).

I absolutely loved that ending scene, Season 6 was underrated in my opinion. Can't wait for Season 7 now

Didn't like the early/mid season that much with Cayden James, and the team B bullshiting Oliver, but the last few episodes were amazing.
I think S6 was a good season with some problems. Yet they brought me back in the end and I’m happy over all. There were some great fight scenes mixed with the great emotional scenes. Plus my biggest worry going on was William. While the kid isn’t the strongest child actor (but far from the worst) I still manage to really love all the Oliver and William scenes. I never knew how much I’d enjoy seeing Oliver has a father.
compared to season 5 was very meh
Star city hospital seems to have a terrible track record with keeping patients alive.

Good heavens, I don't remember ever seeing you gents this sad. It's justified though, Paul Blackthorne was a rock for SIX YEARS, and could consistently bring something great to episodes that weren't great overall. I got seriously emotional too, even though I suspected this would happen when I heard Caity Lotz was coming back.
I just want for Sara to reach out to Laurel. Poor thing looked like she needs a hug, and Quentin was all she had in terms of emotional support on this earth. I'm sure Laurel feels awful knowing she helped Diaz and her presence is dredging up painful memories for Sara.

There was a Green arrow movie planned years ago about Oliver trying to escaping from a supermax prison that was cancelled. I guess they're doing it in the show now

I cried twice during this episode I cried during Oliver and Quentin’s conversation then I cried when Felicity started crying while talking to Oliver Emily Bett is such a good actress and I felt so bad for William at the end this poor kid has been kidnapped by two different super villains then his mom died in an explosion he was forced to live with a man he didn’t know then he began to get close to him and developed a relationship with Felicity as his step mom, now his dad is in prison and his only parent is the woman he’s known for like 7 months
Also very much looking forward to season 7. They have a lot of potential. Escape from Super Max, Longbow Hunters, and Diaz still out there.
I am psyched for it, similar to Gotham, shit has changed

Nao Sou he isn't defenseless though. If not hand to hand he can probably find something else to use as a weapon (besides himself)
He isn't defenseless, but he is just one man. He can't beat 30 guys if they go at him at once. Not without his equipment. Maybe if he was able to ambush them and pick them off, he could win, but that isn't possible in prison.
IT would be a direct fight, and Oliver is only human.

Well it was obvious that something happened to Lance, since they announced that 2 actor of the cast are leaving for S7. And one of them was the actor of Lance.

Long bow hunters are big villains in the Green arrow comics. And when they showed Diaz at the end you could see them in the room too. They are a really big th8ng in the comics with Diaz I'm really hyped now that they are here

Very good finale! Cried my eyes out with that Oliver and Lance scene in the hospital even before the doctor confirmed him dead. Solid ending to a very good season. Can’t freakin wait for next season 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽😭🙌🏼

RIP😢 ..wish he had a better sending off but that was an amazing scene with him & Oliver...its gonna be weird watching Arrow going forward without him...and I agree the actor who plays Diaz has done a great acting job but I'm wanting more from the character so hopefully next season he steps up...

I don't think he does, I'm pretty sure that that was a misdirect, and I think Oliver was right about them having died in the 50's
heard dragon in the comics is one of the best hand to hand fighters, even better than deathstroke and ra's. I wouldn't mind if while oliver is away Dragon goes underground for a while and trains then comes back and can actually fully compete physically with Oliver. From the final fight the two had in this episode, I could see Dragon with that potential.

Diaz is overrated and shouldn't have lived through this season
Look up Escape from Supermax, it was going to be a solo Green Arrow movie but didn't get made, guess they decided to do it for the tv show instead. Hopefully we get a bunch of A, B and C list villains
i definitely want a *punisher / hancock style* 1v40 with all the criminals arrow put away taking their shot at revenge against oliver type scene next season

I've watch few other ppls reactions to this episode so I havn't gotten as emotional as I did when I first watched this the night it aired but watching the both of your reactions to the news of Q.Lance started making me tear up again. Best reaction & the best finale of arrow hands down in my opinion eventhough it was a heart-breaking one.

Diaz vs Oliver, really reminds me about the Punisher vs Daredevil fights in Daredevil Season 2; I feel like that's a good comparison for how the fights have gone..

I was saddened by this finale as well but I also realized this show has been around for six years and we've lost six mayors
1.) Season 2 premier mayor: Dead by The Hood Group
2.) Brother Blood: Dead by Deathsroke female (forgot her name) at the end of season 2
3.) Season 3 Mayor: Dead by Daniel Brickwell midway through season while Oliver was "dead"
4.) Damien Dhark's Wife: Dead by Anarky at the end of season 4
5.) Oliver Queen: Impeached near the end of this season
6.) Quienten Lance: Dead by Ricardo "Dragon" Diaz this past episode
There might be one or two other mayors I'm missing, but I wouldn't be surprised. This is the most dangerous job in the country.

that was probably the most depressing end to a season of Arrow so far. this season has been divisive to say the least, more so i feel then the other seasons, . I personally think outside of the inner team conflict which i felt wasnt very well handled, its been a solid season cause i have liked everything else. i feel they tried to approach Arrow differently this season in some ways as evident by the approach to the Big Bads , doing the inner team conflict, doing a villain centric episode for the most part and of course, certain decisions in this finale which will have ramifications in the future, which i feel has lead to the divisiveness in terms of execution. i was surprised that Diaz got away, ipersonally think hes "good" as a villain but nothing more or less so far. i think Kirk Acevedo does a really good job portraying the character's cold, calclated ,ruthless exterior but who's really unhinged and filled with anger internally. i liked his backstory of coming from nothing and how that shaped him into a man who wanted respect and power. i do think it was a missed oportunity not showing more of him getting his power over the officials and police, i think it could have made him a more effective villain this season . Diaz surviving and possibly coming back next season with the Longbow Hunters seems like he will be more closer to Comic Book Ricardo Diaz next time we see him. Lance's death being off screen was an odd choice and i feel something im not entirely on board with since hes been such a major character however the scenes leading up to it, espeically the one with Oliver in the hospital was emotional, it was also nice to see Sara, briefly as it was.. now the final one, Oliver going to prison and outing himself as the Green Arrow is game changing and it shows how season 7 will probabaly be quite different when it airs, him not telling Felicity was something i dont agree with but i understand why he did it and honestly, i like how heroic a decision it is, portecting his friends and family and making himself the sacrifical lamb, Oliver imo showed the growth he has had as a character this season, he just felt very mature and level headed as possible this season to me and i appreciated that. overall, Really good finale, the action was well done and really cool, the Renee and Oliver reconcilation was good and felt right .the Dinah and Diggle one’s were less effective and not entirely earned but overall, as i said, solid season and im very much looking forward to season 7.

In the comics that weren't retconned. Dragon was trained by O-Sensei. Brought up through martial arts with Ben Turner [Bronze Tiger]. He hung around with Lady Shiva. All 3 weren't villains at the time. But Shiva went down that path. I'd say at one point in time all 3 of them would be the top 3 martial artists of DC disregarding future timelines of Karate Kid and Batman 1 Million. Even Sensei, the father of Ra's said Dragon was a great fighter. And Sensei put Batman down in like 3 moves. For me, if I were doing the comics I'd write a redemption story for Dragon because he was such a cool character.
