didn't think to answer this after publishing, but, if you're curious how much time glitches saved: in any% it saved probably around 10 minutes, hard to really say how much, but around there. for all dungeons, people are saying it saved an HOUR LOL
i know you can't just hold off on finding and sharing glitches until the game's development cycle is complete (this isn't me being glib, its been shown by history to be literally impossible) but i do hope the fixes are easily bypassed and the glitches rediscovered.
BOTW runs were really interesting to me in terms of how you got to the point of fighting Calamity Ganon, because you had to collect just the right weapons and just the right amount of them with just the right combat strats to kill the Blights and Ganon as fast as possible. But with these like 1.1 TOTK runs these final fights are boring as hell because you just dupe an absurd amount of weapons breaking the game entirely and then you just mash A with normal play that isn’t even super skillful, like I could not do the BOTW speedrun boss fights, but I feel like I could do the TOTK ones really easily, that’s the boring part. I want to see runs with the patched version because that’s one of the things I was the most excited about, seeing what exact combination of weapons being fused in what way would create the most optimal fights in the game because the combat system had suddenly become much more interesting than before. Instead the game’s just being broken so hard that those intricacies are gone. There’s no progression of the prior patch runs that will make them interesting to me at this point, I’d rather watch new botw runs.
Nice little recap video on the current state of speed-running totk! Personally I'm very excited to see newer runs on version 1.1.2, because you cannot cheese nearly as hard as you can on 1.1.1, so we get to see the community be more creative and come up with new and interesting ways to speed-run.
Great video. I'm excited to see runs nerfed. Duping dozens of rubies to complete the war in the depths in like 3 seconds just feels unsatisfying to me personally. Cool it was possible to get sub one hour with the dupes tho, for sure!
This came on auto play right after another tears of the kingdom video, I appreciate the effort. However, I had to stop listening, because I could not understand what you were saying at the time because you do not annunciate your words. Work on that.

How did that Lionel floor breach work? The only other out of bounds glitch I've seen has been zuggling and then hopping on a steering stick

100% agreed.

I was hoping for this too, but I can't find anyone running after the dupe fix. Do you know anyone running 1.1.2?
I'm sad duplication is gone cause I wanted to 100% the game without needing to grind as much since stuff like koroks is already a huge grind.
Just don't updated bro lol
It's back again nowww
@@FellixNoAmatsu Is it?
@@ethanrose9682 Sort of, via the new multi-shot bow strat in the cave that leads to the Depths during one of the Sage quests.
Upgrading armor doesn't count toward 100%
Can you please give me advice on 1.1.2 speed runing the ganon army i can manage to deafeat them
Time to dupe everything a 100x before updating i guess. I got free time but i dont got "hunt the dragons for X amount of parts" time
dupe to 999. I've already got 50 items duped to 999. 200 items to go!
I'm glad I dupped a bunch of diamonds for rupees. So sad to see them go 😢
Hell yeah
